We're halfway between Gympie and the Coast, Inskip Point, Rainbow Beach and Tin Can Bay, with grassy, level campsites looking over our beautiful billabong. There is a shop attached to the premises where LPG etc can be acquired, plus caravan and boat parts available as well as a workshop. We provide portable toilets, bore water available also. Sites are $18 a night for 2 guests, $5 a night for extra guests. Come and say g'day!We are located halfway between Gympie and Tin Can Bay, Rainbow Beach and The Great Sandy Straits. At $20 a night for two people and $5 each extras it is affordable. Grassed and level campsites scattered around our beautiful billabong, with shaded areas for relaxing and sunny spots for solar. We enjoy cool breezes here, cooler than Gympie in summer and warmer in winter. Fireplaces are provided. There is a shop on site that can provide LPG , Firewood etc. As well as fishing, boating and caravan parts and repairs. We have toilets available. Upon arrival phone us on 0427 184 133 to be directed to your campsite. If no answer blow your horn. Down the road are macadamia farms, strawberry farms and cafes. You can safely leave your caravan here, while exploring the region, with easy access to the coast and Gympie. We look forward to welcoming you! Pets welcome too! The camp ground is part of The Boat Place .The Tin Can Bay end of the property. Enter at the Billabong Breeze sign.

The camp sites are flat, grass covered and well spaced. Portable loos are kept clean and well stocked. Supplies on site, ice, firewood etc. Very chill site.

While the camping area was well kept and maintained and the toilets were super clean we didn’t think the main road would be so close. There was traffic day and night. Also when you drive in there are a lot of other vans/boats/diggers/machinery & buildings that are a bit unsightly that kind of brings down the ambience of the place. The location in terms of proximity to Rainbow was great. We enjoyed our time however would not book again.

We had an amazing Easter camping trip here and absolutely loved this site! The location is awesome—beautiful surroundings, peaceful atmosphere, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. A big shoutout to Steve, who was incredibly helpful. He delivered the firewood for us, which made everything so easy, and the firepit setup was fantastic—really made our evenings special. The facilities were also a highlight, especially the toilet, which was super clean and well maintained—something we really appreciated while camping. Overall, a wonderful experience and we’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our Easter break at Billabong Breeze, host George was very responsive over messaging and Steve was extremely helpful for all campers over the weekend. Short distance to Gympie, Tin Can Bay and Rainbow Beach made it possible to do small trips to see the sights of the area.

We loved our caravan area with our van looking at the billabong. It had a fire pit and table and chairs and was close to the 🚻 so all round pretty good.

Campsite is at a good location, easy to find and the place is being very well managed. Separated between camps to have some privacy of our own and the toilets are VERY clean!

i loved tent camping by the billabong, the hosts are so lovely and helpful! we stayed for two nights and had no issues! the fire pits and picnic tables they have set up are great and the toilets are regularly maintained, overall great experience!

The camping area was very well maintained, the sites were generous and there were several areas set up for anyone wanting to light a fire. Steve and Gail were very welcoming and friendly. Steve took us for a ride in the gator and showed us a koala that was on the property. There was some road noise, but it definitely didn't keep us awake at night. It was a wonderful time.

We spent 3 nights at Billabong Breeze, which has quite a nice location and set up. We were able to choose our site, which was set up with two nice clean portaloos parked nearby. The park was not crowded, the sites were very generous size and it was very relaxed and everyone was friendly. There is some road noise as it is on Tin Can Bay Road, which carries quite a bit of traffic, but that was the only real downside. It was an easy 20 minute drive to Tin Can Bay where we saw the dolphin feeding and spent time at the beach.

Clean clear and comfortable tent camping. Plenty of shady trees, variety of sites available, plenty of space for all modes of camping. Local Koalas on the property provided some interesting noises during the night, still amazing being able to see Koalas in their natural habitat. Easy, clear directions. Will visit again.

Exceptional large grassed areas to camp. Lots of shade. Great host's, friendly, quick response on arrival and guide you to your spot. Leisurely drive to Rainbow and southern end of Fraser Coast.

We had a lovely stay at billabong breeze. Large sites & very accommodating hosts. George is always up for chat & comes around to make sure everything is ok. Road noise is there but after a night you don’t seem to notice it. It was a long weekend so probably more traffic than usual. Sublime brewery is a few minutes drive up the road & is worth going to for entertainment & a meal.

Billabong Breeze is a hidden gem! From the moment we arrived, the hosts were incredibly welcoming, kind, and helpful — they went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience. The grounds are beautifully maintained with large, lush grassy areas that are nicely spread out, giving everyone plenty of space and privacy and the billabong is a nice touch! The toilets were impressively clean and well looked after. It’s clear that a lot of care and pride goes into keeping this place in top condition. Whether you’re after peace and quiet, a scenic escape, or just a well-run campsite with lovely hosts, Billabong Breeze ticks every box. We’ll definitely be back! 😀👍
