CAMPING FOR PROSPECTORS
Even-Camp offers one of the most welcoming and accommodating hosts we’ve encountered. The sites are well maintained, featuring fire pits and an ample supply of collectable timber, making for a relaxing and easy-going self-contained experience. The added presence of diverse local wildlife further enhances the charm and natural beauty of the stay.

John was fantastic to deal with, very welcoming and provided excellent information to help me on my gold hunt for the day. Loads of land there to explore with beautiful terrain. Although no gold on the first visit, I'll definitely be back to keep hunting for those nuggies!!!

The secluded camping areas ensure that you have no intrusions to your getaway, and there's plenty of untouched land for exploring and detecting.

We loved staying few nights on John & Caz's - Evan-Camp. We really enjoyed our 2 night stay....the dogs loved walking around. Dark skies were fantastic near a fire. Plus it was quiet. Well kept and tidy sites.
We meet the 2 horses, saw cattle and a few mobs of kangaroos.
No gold....but there is always hope for next time

Absolutely love this spot, (Found a couple bits of gold) Hosts are lovely. We normally camp at Karara but this is great for off grid, quiet camping and the bonus of walking to detecting areas

Even-camp was a great spot very peaceful John was a great host showed me around to the campsites and also the abandoned gold mines where I had a prospect and even found a little piece of gold. Will be back for sure

Both being detectorist we heard about Evan camp opening up to campers and detecting so we decided to do a day trip there. We were so impressed with the new owners who showed us around giving us a bit of history and we found some pieces of gold. We are so grateful to these owners who open their properties to the public to enjoy these outdoor activities and definately will be back next time we are in Karara.

Firstly, many thanks to the great hosts, and to John for showing us the areas that may possibly provide some of the shiny stuff. Unfortunately not on this trip, but did did find a couple of spent rifle rounds, so was something to send the detector into overdrive for a period of time. If you haven't been to this location before, it's well worth taking the time & making use of the wide open spaces. 🙂

What a great time with the family. From gold panning to hanging with the horses and cows. Bike rides and exploring. Even found an old gold mine on the property.

Had a great three nights at Even Camp!!
Nathan’s Nook is the perfect spot to camp. Quiet. Peaceful. Plenty of wildlife and friendly horses and cows to watch with a cold drink after a day fossicking for a nugget or two.

Selena's Sanctuary
Although a short stop over we enjoyed a lovely peaceful day/night surrounded by the wildlife. We stayed at Selena Sanctuary which was gorgeous and offered some shade from the hot weather. The hosts were an absolute pleasure to deal with and we would love to visit again.

Selena's Sanctuary
Camped at Selena's Sanctuary. Very quite. Cleared area. Some shade depending on where you camp. Heaps of firewood around. Cows and horses are friendly and do visit. Lovely hosts.

Great hosts. The camp spots are set well apart with and big enough for larger groups if required. Close to Durakai and Talgai fossicking areas with detecting on site as well gives plenty of choice for gold prospecting.

A great first hip camp for me. John and Caroline were great hosts. The camp was nice and quiet. Fire pit was ready. Free firewood was easy to gather. No Gold was found, but we were new to fossicking and didn’t expect to find any. Overall, a great couple of days away. Oh, and thank you for the eggs. 😀

We both really enjoyed staying here ,so much so we actually booked an extra night
Large open areas,very quiet ,we picked the Titans Tundra site,absolutely loved it,husband spent plenty of time detecting,and exploring the property
Very peaceful and relaxing and we enjoyed getting to know the cows and horses 😊
The host Caroline and her husband were extremely accommodating,friendly and very down to earth people.Nothing was too much trouble for them
We would absolutely recommend you go and stay here,we will certainly be back

Upon arrival meeting Caroline and John for a short pleasant chat then heading up the back of the property for a day of fossicking. It’s a very relaxing quite and peaceful place to spend the day wondering around with the detector to find some little gold nuggets.

Spent a day detecting and panning for gold with some friends. Mate picked up a little nugget so the gold is there if you walk over it! Also got some small pieces panning from surface dirt.
Hosts were fantastic, site access roads are well maintained and easy to get around.
