We camped here for 3 nights with a large group, which can be hard to find a spot for, but this place was perfect. The owner was super friendly and has built some amazing facilities that make camping really enjoyable. Highly recommend this spot for groups or anyone looking for a great camping experience!

My friends and I had a great time at Mark and Joanne's place. They were so accomodating and kind. Everything was great - a fuss-free walkover and intro from Mark, great and practical shower and toilet, a great view and well maintained and mown campsite that is massive! Thank you Mark and Joanne for you hospitality. We will be back!

Such a peaceful place. The perfect spot for quiet, to relax and unwind. Plenty of space to run around, spread out and enjoy. The facilities were clean. The camp area was well maintained. Plenty of firewood provided. We will definitely be returning.

The site was private and quiet and it was the most peaceful camping experience we have ever had! The fire pit provided was great. The site was spacious with lots of grass area so our dog and kids enjoyed running about. We will be back again!

Mark and Joannes camp-site was very neat and tidy. We had a group of 10 and had plenty of room to camp there. Amenities were super clean and a nice addition to have.
Mark was super friendly and helpful with us and couldn't recommend camping here enough. This camp-site won't dissapoint

This was the best private campground I've been to. Such a gorgeous spot to relax, take in nature and watch the sunset over the dam. The facilities are adorable, with little bonuses and attention to detail that you don't expect while camping in the bush.
Our group really loved it and will definitely be back!

A great site! We really enjoyed our weekend at Papa's Billabong. It's a lovely large site that is well maintained. Several flat spots to park the van or set up a tent. The amenities are a plus too! We enjoyed kayaking, swimming and exploring the site. We'll be back for another visit!

What an amazing place to stay! The host, Mark, was humble and welcoming. The facilities were incredible, and the location and land were simply phenomenal. Such a lovely, private, and remote spot, yet so close to the city. Couldn’t have had a better time – highly recommend!
Our group do feel bad for using so much firewood, so next time we’ll bring extra to leave for future guests. We will definitely be back. Thank you again, Mark, for sharing your amazing location. And to anyone thinking about staying here – the photos don’t do it justice, it’s 100 times better in person

Great hospitality, everything is ready to go, firewood, grounds looking green and the weather was fantastic. Sometimes it’s the small things- nice toilet paper-😎 Very casual surroundings, wildlife out at play and the dogs had a ball. You can do as little like me and read under the gorgeous trees, go for walks and soak in the sun. I’ve already booked in again.

Fantastic Friends Getaway Farmstay

We just had a group booking of 5 caravans at Em & Jays Farmstay on the site Papa's Lagoon with easy access and plenty of space all to ourselves.
Mark and Joanne maintain the camping area beautifully with mowed lawn and enough flat areas.
The shower and toilet supplied very a great bonus as well as a big fire pit, pizza oven and concrete trough for our camp oven cooking.
There is a large dam for swimming and a good walking track right around the camp area and plenty of room to kick the footy or riding bikes etc.
Beautiful sunsets over Papa's pontoon area.
Mark was very welcoming and showed us to the camp and also left some fire to get us started.
We definitely recommend this property.

Such a wonderful place. The hosts were fantastic and there was so much space all to ourselves with multiple areas to pick from to set up camp. Walking tracks around the property to keep the dog entertained and two dams to sit by. Really friendly cows coming and going on the other side of the fence. Perfect spot for a private getaway. Will definitely be back. Cannot recommend this place enough. We stayed for 5 nights and could honestly stay for more. One of my favourites spots so far.

We’ve never been so relaxed. So much space, all to our selves. The first place we’ve been comfortable letting our dog off lead. It was too cold for us but our dog enjoyed swimming. I love the self made toilet and shower shed. It was great not having to set up ours. The owner Mark is great too. Definitely a winner!

The amount of room available that was clearly mowed and maintained was fabulous, great hosts, nothing too hard to help out. Can’t wait for family to come. My fur babies enjoyed the area to run and the quietness was peaceful.

Well what an awesome 3 night stay over for a birthday weekend with our pooches. Loved the fact that we had the whole place to ourselves. Owner was super friendly and very helpful. Basic amenities provided and very clean. So much room to move about and peaceful. Mornings were great waking up to the birdlife and hearing the cattle mooing nearby. Beautiful sunsets before settling by the fire. Three days of absolutely relaxing 😌

Papa's Billabong was the perfect getaway for our long weekend camping trip – so serene and enjoyable! The whole area was grassed and meticulously maintained with lots of great options to set up camp. The toilet and shower facilities with hot water was a bit of camping luxury.
Whether you're planning a group booking (highly recommend) or opting for a solo trip like we did, Papa's Billabong offers ample space and flexibility. Do yourself a favour and book a weekend, you won't be disappointed. Thanks Mark and Joanne for having us.

We absolute loved our stay at papa’s billabong! Mark and Joanna where super easy to communicate, met us on the property and showed us our pitch and the facilities (hot water shower and portaloo toilet) then left us to the beautiful nature and walking trials around their property! In the morning the cows came to say hello from over the fence. We will definitely be back to this gorgeous spot!

We tent camped in this hidden gem for 3 nights and had a truly amazing time. The dogs adored all the space to run around and loved playing in the dam and billabong. There were so many beautiful spots to set up, and the warm shower at the end of the day was an added touch of luxury. Lots of little trails through the property to explore and plenty of cows ready to say hi. A really restful and well kept retreat - we’ll definitely be back!

Excellent weekend with friendly host, clean, tidy and well maintained camping area with plenty of room to bring extra guest next time.
The fresh air, with scenic views, night fire and thousand of stars. Great that we could take our dog too who enjoyed swimming.

Words cannot do justice to how exceptional our stay was. The site was outstanding with a huge amount of space. bush trail walks and creeks. There was a hot shower and toilet which was wonderful for our first camping trip with a young family. The best thing was you have it all to yourself.
Along with the sublime camping experience Joanne and Marks hospitality was beyond exceptional inviting us up to see the chickens, calves and sheep.
You would be doing yourself a disservice by not staying here.
We will be back to do it all again

I was tempted to not leave review so we could keep this place all to ourselves…..
So close to home but felt a million miles away, this camp spot has been well thought out and it’s a maintained beautifully.
Clean amenities, great cattle trough fire fit and a really cool termite mound pizza oven- all over looking the billabong and dam and what makes it extra special is that you get it all to yourselves.
The hosts are lovely and very helpful, and we will definitely be back again!
