PLEASE NOTE: WE HAVE 6 SITES WITH EACH SITE HAVING A LEFT AND A RIGHT OPTION. LEFT AND RIGHT IS AS YOU ARE LOOKING AT THE CREEK. ALL SITES ARE NEXT TO EACH OTHER ON THE CREEK, STARTING AT 1L 1R 2L 2R 3L 3R 4L 4R 5L 5R 6L 6R. ALL SITES HAVE CREEK FRONTAGE. ALL CAMPERS MUST HAVE THEIR OWN PORTABLE TOILET. Christmas Creek Bush Retreat enjoys absolute creek frontage on the banks of the crystal clear everflowing Christmas Creek. Perfect for kayaking, floating on an inflatable lounge or swimming in the warmer months or to simply watch and listen to the rapids. The property boasts 160 acres with camp sites situated on a large flat well maintained grassy paddock, all sites look out to the creek and mountains beyond. Easy access for 2WD and 4WD vehicles with plenty of room to turn around. Campers MUST be fully self-sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities. Porta-loos are available to hire at additional cost for your stay, please message for pricing. Please place all waste in bin provided. Please ensure all waste is bagged. Dog friendly, however ALL dogs must be on a lead at ALL times and picked up after. Campfires are permitted in designated fire pits ONLY, but may be subject to fire bans. Situated a 1/2 hour drive South of Beaudesert, following the signs to Rathdowney and turning onto Christmas Creek Road that veers to the left. 26kms along the very picturesque Christmas Creek Road and you arrive at a little bit of paradise in the Scenic Rim. So much to see and do in the area, a short drive to the Lost World Tourist Drive and Tommerups Dairy to name a few. Further along Christmas Creek Road takes you past the Christmas Creek Cafe and onto Lamington National Park and bushwalks to the Stinson Memorial Crash Site and Larapinta Falls. So much to enjoy in the Scenic Rim. Please feel free to message prior to booking to ask any questions.

We loved camping at Christmas Creek. The site was pristine and the views of the creek were lovely. It was nice to have a paddle in the creek on a hot day. Caralyn was a lovely host and was very hospitable. Thank you for a lovely weekend and we will definately be back.

Another wonderful weekend at Christmas Creek! Stunning location, beautifully maintained! It doesnt really matter which site you choose, they are all very spacious! There is no phone service at all(Telstra), to be aware of! Thankyou to Caralyn for opening up your beautiful property☺️

This was a great Hipcamp. Sites were large, flat and really well maintained. The creek was lovely and great for the site to be dog friendly. Communication by the hosts was prompt and the hosts kindly checked in on us in person.

Definitely will be going back. It was a wonderful campground and the hosts were lovely. We stayed at on site 3L and we had two vans and there was still lots of spare room.

This is our 2nd time here. The site was very spacious, super clean, and had a lovely grassy area with easy access to the creek. Our family was staying at the site next door which made our area feel even bigger. It’s dog friendly and the kids were never bored with plenty of room to explore. The owner was fantastic and offered firewood and ice for sale, which was so convenient. Toilets were available for hire and there were rubbish bins on-site – such a rare bonus for a Hipcamp stay.

This spot never disappoints! Such a great spot for the kids, the creek is amazing and the kids get to help feed the cows in the afternoons, which our kids looked forward to all day. It was the most relaxing stay and we love the fact we can hire a portable toilet to make our stay that much easier! The hosts are amazing and so welcoming. Love the fact you can buy ice and firewood from them too (although we couldn't buy wood this time due to the fireban, which was a shame but still such a great stay.

We loved our four night stay at Christmas Creek Road Bush Retreat. Its a perfect spot close to Brisbane to relax and unwind. We stayed on site 6 Creek frontage and it was magic. Carolyn and David were excellent hosts.

We enjoyed having space to spread out in the generous site and splashing in the creek. We loved seeing the cows grazing and stargazing at night beside the fire. The location was good too; not too far from Beaudesert if we needed anything but felt very quiet, even though the campsite backs on to a road. Overall, a lovely peaceful spot!

We absolutely loved the site. The owners were lovely and it was such a beautiful creek. Super well kept. They had bins for recyclables and general waste. We will definitely visit here again.

generous size sites, nice and clean and flat grassy spots to park/camp on. well maintained area, creek is perfect for kids and swimming / floaties and kayak as it goes right infront of your site. they fed the cows of a late afternoon and the kids really enjoyed it. we will be back ☺️

Such a special spot! We stayed with a group from site 1 left to 3 left and the sites were beautifully maintained, spacious and picturesque being so close to the creek. It was a nice drive from Beaudesert and great weekend away. Will definitely be back

The campsite was great, very kind and easy to talk to, and made us feel welcome. One note for future campers: we didn’t realize the bathrooms needed to be reserved (I may have missed it in the notes). Since we hadn’t reserved one, we couldn’t use them, and there weren’t any woods around for a more natural option. We didn’t want to straight-up poop on the campsite grass, so we had to drive about 10 minutes down the road to a park instead. Not a dealbreaker, but definitely something to be aware of!

Rolling green grass stretches as far as the eye can see, with gentle cows grazing nearby, adding to the relaxing country vibe. The sound of flowing water makes it even more tranquil, and there’s so much open space that you never feel crowded. It’s the kind of spot where you can truly switch off, let the kids run free, sit back by the water, and soak up the serenity. Clean air, wide-open views, and a real sense of freedom everything you want in a camping getaway. I'd highly recommend for families, couples, or anyone who just wants to recharge in a beautiful, natural setting. Can’t wait to come back!

We had a great time at Christmas Creek Bush Retreat! Communication with Caralyn is fantastic. The kids loved swimming and using the paddle boards in the creek and you can see the kids swimming from the campsites.

Beautifully kept site- mowed. Good fire pits. Caralyn’s husband would bring us regular wood supply- good quality Ironbark. Toilets were $176 to open (portaloo). Therefore you must bring your own. The Christmas creek was deep, flowing and readily available for swimming and bathing- the kids loved it.

First time visiting and definitely won’t be the last time! Close to home and completely seperate from the world. The hosts were lovely, the sites were clean and very well maintained. The direct access to the creek is perfect for kids. Was planning a trip to Nymoida for a few nights but have changed the location to stay here again! Cheers
