Welcome to Campfire Farms – A True Country Escape Campfire Farms is a working cattle property and home to our growing Speckle Park Stud, set on scenic ridges with peaceful, private campsites and stunning views. We’re conveniently located just 20 minutes from both Toowoomba and Crows Nest, and less than 10 minutes to Highfields and Cabarlah. ☕ Just 5 minutes up the road, Wild Honey Café serves delicious coffee and meals from 6:30am to 2:30pm, Tuesday to Sunday. Right next door, The Clock and Bull Brewhouse is now open — offering great food, cold drinks, and a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere. And for a classic country pub experience, the historic Farmers Arms is just around the corner, perfect for a drink or hearty counter meal. 🍺 In nearby Highfields, you’ll find plenty of cosy cafés and the Monty Brewing Co., which is well worth a visit for its local craft beers and great vibe. 🧺 If you love a good market, Cabarlah Country Markets are held on the last Sunday of every month, and the Toowoomba Farmers Markets run every Saturday — along with lots of other local markets throughout the region. 🎣 Got a keen fisherman or fisherwoman in the group? We’re only 17 minutes from Cooby Dam and 45 minutes from Cressbrook Dam — both popular spots stocked with Yellow Belly, Silver Perch, and plenty of Yabbies. 🐄 As a fully operational farm, we’re happy to share a glimpse of farm life with our guests. If you’d like a farm tour or to meet the animals, just let us know at the time of booking so we can organise it. 🚴‍♀️ There’s no shortage of adventure nearby either — we're just 21 km from the Toowoomba Mountain Bike Park and 15 km from the Toowoomba Motorcycle Club. With our central location — only 15 km to Toowoomba, 41 km to Crows Nest, and 9 km to Highfields — Campfire Farms is the perfect base for exploring the best of the region.

Shorthorn

Tent site · Sleeps 8
Shorthorn is a private, tents-only campsite—suitable for traditional tents or rooftop tents—tucked away on an elevated ridge with sweeping north-easterly views and the perfect spot to catch the sunrise. Set in its own peaceful corner of the paddock, it features a firepit for cosy evenings, and is occasionally visited by our friendly horses and cattle. It’s just a short stroll to the yards—great for saying g’day to the animals. And if you spot a campfire going there in the late arvo, don’t be shy—swing by for a yarn. Most Saturdays (and the odd weeknight), you might find us kicking back by the fire with a drink in hand, always happy to chat and share a bit about life on the farm. Campfire Farms Marshmallow & Damper Packs Add a little something special to your stay with one of our campfire-ready extras. Grab a Marshmallow Pack for a classic fireside treat, or go full bush-style with a Damper Pack—complete with ingredients and simple instructions to cook your own golden damper over the coals. Available to add on when you book.
