Lovely spot at Point camp I would have sit there and just watch the view feeling like you're in the middle of nowhere with town so close.
Steeper access then a lot of camps but very enjoyable and perfectly safe if you take things slowly.

We loved camping at Campfire farms point camp, hosts were lovely and accomodating, cows came and said hello :). Had a beautiful site with stunning views, especially from a roof top tent in the morning ☀️. Would definitely stay here again!

Lovely spot, camps are a very spaced out so could not see others campers. The train noise at night was a bit surprising. The clock and bull up the road was amazing also. The dogs also loved it.

The campsite was quite private. The hosts were excellent, we were greeted by Clint. Firewood was waiting for us. Julia kindly showed our kids how to milk a cow which was a highlight of the trip for them. We really enjoyed our stay.

I enjoyed staying here at 'The Point' campsite for 4 nights. The only thing to note is that a train does run through the valley below throughout the day and in to the evening. You can hear it, but it wasn't to a level that disturbed us too much - I'd definitely stay again.
When we arrived there was a very large firepit, and some firewood already there for us to enjoy! You're allowed to gather your own firewood from the property for free, so we did (with a battery chainsaw). It was great being able to relax with a fire and be within 30 mins of the centre of Toowoomba, but feel miles away!
My 4WD SUV Hyundai Santa Fe towed my 1.6T non-off road caravan down the "third range" (in Sand mode, with downhill brake control turned on) with ease. It's a very steep, long gravelled road - I definitely wouldn't attempt to drive on it with a 2wd. I was unsure how my car would tow my van up/down but it handled it easily, for anyone assessing taking an SUV!
The owners were friendly - they popped in about an hour after we arrived to say G'day, but we didn't see them or anyone else again for the remainder of our stay - very secluded, private area which I loved!
We even had visits from the farm cows which was special.
I did get very lost getting here though, as I used the Hipcamp Map directions which were wrong - make sure you Google Maps "Campfire Farms" and you should be fine! Would recommend the owner put the actual address in the booking message for ease.

My fiance and I along with our 2 cattle dogs stayed at speckle and we could not have been more happy. Huge camp-site, amazing view and very secluded and private. The coal trains can be heard frown down in the valley but for us it added to the experience of the area. We will be booking again asap.

We had a great weekend getaway at Point Camp at Camp Fire Farms as an early celebration of our wedding anniversary.
Upon booking, Julia's messages and communication was very prompt. The instructions and directions provided were very clear - so much so that the property map which was provided upon arrival wasn't really needed - though it did give good details of some other interesting areas to explore on the property.
The gravel ridge track (which the owners laughingly refer to as the 3rd range crossing) to the camp site is well maintained and quite steep - though no problem for our 4WD towing our 2.5 t hybrid van (11.5 m total length) - just take it slow. The camp site itself was clean and nicely flat, with some carefully placed gravel in a few places to ensure all weather access. There was a generous quantity of excellent dry fire wood next to the fire on arrival. Of course, there needs to be a campfire when staying at Camp Fire Farms! We were very careful to only use what wood we needed.
This is a great bush camp, where you feel like you are a million miles from town, but in reality, you are very close to town with all the nearby conveniences if needed.
It was nice to meet and chat with the owners on their horses as we were packing up. Many thanks again to Julia for accommodating a late check out - it was most appreciated. We will be back.

Just wrapped up our stay at Campfire Farms and we absolutely loved it. The property is so peaceful and quiet, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The fire pit is huge, which made for some epic campfires every night. Weather was kind to us too, not too cold or windy, which made the whole trip even better 🥺✨
We managed to get our old van down and back up without any issues and our two dogs had the best time running around and exploring. Such a great, dog-friendly spot. We’ll definitely be back for another stay soon 👏🏕️

This is my 3rd time here and each time I’ve had a wonderful time. The hosts are fantastic and the campsites are so far apart you feel like you’re the only one there. Highly recommend camping here.

Great spot with a fantastic view. My son and I had a nice time fishing and paddling on the dam, looking at the animals and enjoying the view. Lovely, welcoming hosts too! Easy to have a chat to and there is plenty more to explore on their property.

We absolutely loved staying at Speckle at Campfire farms - the site is beautifully secluded, you won’t see anyone if you don’t want to. The views are stunning. There’s a dam to fish or kayak in and animals to make friends with (we pat the cows and sheep and dogs). Plenty of firewood provided which is so generous for the price you pay. Clint and Julia and their son are absolutely beautiful - they made us feel so welcome, everything was well signed, and they even shared some bait with us so we could have a fish. They are passionate about bush cooking and experiencing the beautiful land they live on and are just genuinely kind people.
Oh and you are less than 15 minutes from shops and food should you run out of anything - pretty great considering how remote you feel in your site.
Thank you so much (all of you!) My kids are already asking to go back and we can’t wait to bring them.

What a fabulous quiet spot to get away from it all . Such a welcoming greeting from our host Julie too .
The trains in the distance may have interrupted the peace for a bit but the stunning views and sunset sure made it all worth while .

We loved our stay at Campfire Farms- Speckle! The site was large enough that could could easily fit 2 caravans, or a van and a few swags with plenty of room. Gorgeous views. Well maintained roads and sites. Would definitely need a 4x4 to row a caravan back up the hill. We loved it, Thankyou for opening up your gorgeous property for us!

Top spot! Beautiful bush camping that is secluded, peaceful & very relaxing. We have a 9m caravan and large vehicle, and found the site very accessible.
Great walk down to the dam where we were greeted by the local cows. The campfire was magical under a sky of bright stars.
We even had breakfast with a very friendly horse!
The hosts were friendly & extremely helpful. If you’re looking for a peaceful location to get back to nature. I rate it 10/10!

Great for 1 or 2 campers. Not a huge space but plenty big enough.
Had the pleasure of seeing Redtail black cockatoo’s during breakfast.
The fire pit had some timber stacked beside which was a pleasant surprise.
Steep drive in, so would suit smaller vans and set ups
