Escape to the peaceful and serene retreat of Billabong Views for the ultimate camping experience! Only 25 minutes from Bundaberg and located on 47 acres, Billabong Views offers a camping experience where you can do as much or as little as you choose. Our property (currently) offers 8 spacious sites surrounded by breath taking nature and tranquil ambiance, perfect for a weekend getaway or an extended break from our busy lives. The property has several billabongs with camp sites situated at prestigious locations and the property adjoins the Burnett River where you can kayak, swim or fish to your heart’s desire. At this stage you must be self-sufficient whilst we are still in the process of building our shower and toilet block. As we are animal lovers, please feel free to bring your furry or feathered friends. All dogs must be kept on a leash so that our resident domestic animals as well as the kangaroos and wallabies are not spooked. Highlights at a glance: * Segregated camp sites (so you are not on top of other campers). * Each camp site will have its own campfire, some sites with a separate fire pit area. Firewood available on request. * Huge open field area perfect for kicking the football or throwing the frisbee, and at night the most beautiful astronomy show you will ever see. * Take advantage of the “Stockyard Garden” or the “Swing Chair Garden” both of which are perfect spots for a drink in those enchanting afternoons. * Explore the abundance of walking tracks and immerse yourself in the beauty of the great outdoors. * Kayak, swim, or fish the Burnett River. * 10-minute drive and you are in the ultimate 4WD adventure playground of Pine Creek (as seen on 4WD 24/7). Arrow's Rest is a grassy space with an fantastic location overlooking our 2nd Billabong with uninterrupted views of the Billabong and surrounds. With its own separate private Fire Pit area this is one of the prime locations at Billabong Views! You will be immersed is the sounds of the billabong's inhabitants and have access to the billabong's northern edge perfect for a picnic or to relax with a book and a drink. The site is named after our late family cockatiel Arrow, he would have loved flying around with the wild kingfishers and finches. Currently all sites require you to be self sufficient (toilet and shower), access to tank water to fill containers can be arranged on request.

The site is named after our resident Magpies who will sing you a lovely warble song and who you can feed during the morning feed time. Wallaby Ridge is a grassy space with a great location overlooking the pristine countryside with uninterrupted views and a fantastic sunset view. This site also has a separate private Fire Pit area making it a fantastic spot for your stay. You will be immersed is the sounds of the Billabong Views inhabitants and have a short walk (50m) to access one of the walking trails. The site is named after our resident Wallabys who will likely go bounding through in the morning or afternoon - keep your eyes peeled. Clancy's Corner is a grassy space ideally located on our main Billabong with picturesque views of the surrounds. This is one of the prime locations at Billabong Views! You will be immersed is the sounds of the billabong's inhabitants and have access to the billabong's southern edge perfect for a picnic or to relax with a book and a drink. The site is named after a Kingfisher we found after its nest was blown down in a storm, he was only a week or two old. We nurtured him and hand fed him until he was a few months old and then released him back to Billabong Views. You may still be lucky to see him and his friends around the Billabongs. Currently all sites require you to be self sufficient (toilet and shower), access to tank water to fill containers can be arranged on request.

Echidna's Burrow is a grassy space with a great location overlooking the pristine countryside with uninterrupted views and a fantastic sunset view over the eucalypt trees. You will be immersed is the sounds of the Billabong Views inhabitants and have a short walk (30m) to access one of the walking trails. The site is named after our resident Echidnas who may go scurrying by, they are timid so keep quiet and keep your eye's peeled. Currently all sites require you to be self sufficient (toilet and shower), access to tank water to fill containers can be arranged on request.

Beautiful place they have, lots of grass for kids to run around not far from Bundaberg and Childers! Definitely worth adding the breakfast hamper to top it off 🤩

Echidna's Burrow
Thank you so much for having us! We absolutely loved our stay at Billabong Views, it far exceeded all expectations. The area is stunning, the property is really something special, we had so much space and serenity, and the hosts were the best we've ever had, they really do think of everything. We'd love to stay again 😊

A beautiful and peaceful spot with lots of room to spread out. Very obliging hosts - very well organised and friendly. Only a short drive to Bundaberg or Childers should you need anything.

Great stay over the Easter Weekend. Sites are well maintained and there is heaps of room. The billabong is a picturesque spot. Shane and Craig were great hosts and went out of their way to make sure we were all looked after and an Easter basket of goodies was the icing on the cake!

Clancy's Corner
Beautiful Easter long weekend at Billabong Views! So peaceful even with many groups there. Clancy’s Corner was a gorgeous spot by the billabong where you could sit and watch the whistling ducks on the water. Craig and Shane were fabulous hosts! So friendly and welcoming! Thanks for a super relaxing weekend!

Great little spot. Nice grassy sites with no prickles or bindis. Very welcoming hosts made us feel very comfortable. Will stay again.

We had a lovely stay at Billabong Views. The hosts were lovely. Craig went out of his way to make sure all our needs were met. The property is peaceful and tranquil and the wildlife was beautiful. Sites are large with lots of space around. Half hour drive to Bundaberg if you want to explore the region.

When plans fall through and the last minute booking exceeds your expectations. This beautiful block of land hosted by Craig and his family is ideal for anyone looking for a private and peaceful getaway, approximately 25min from Bundaberg. The location in Electra, QLD allows for a range of activities including fishing, kayaking, hiking and 4Wdriving. Definitely one of our best hosts to date, very accomodating, let you have your own space whilst also being on hand for any assistance we required. Grateful for Craig directing us to a local 4wd track to a creek for a bit of an adventure. Very kind of him to take extra time of out of his day to show guests around the area. Side note: the hosts dogs and cats saying hello on their afternoon walks are definitely a highlight.
