We're halfway between Gympie and the Coast, Inskip Point, Rainbow Beach and Tin Can Bay, with grassy, level campsites looking over our beautiful billabong. There is a shop attached to the premises where LPG etc can be acquired, plus caravan and boat parts available as well as a workshop. We provide portable toilets, bore water available also. Sites are $18 a night for 2 guests, $5 a night for extra guests. Come and say g'day!We are located halfway between Gympie and Tin Can Bay, Rainbow Beach and The Great Sandy Straits. At $18 a night for two people and $5 each extras it is affordable. Grassed and level campsites scattered around our beautiful billabong, with shaded areas for relaxing and sunny spots for solar. We enjoy cool breezes here, cooler than Gympie in summer and warmer in winter. Fireplaces are provided. There is a shop on site that can provide LPG , Firewood etc. As well as fishing, boating and caravan parts and repairs. We have toilets available. Upon arrival phone us on 0427 184 133 to be directed to your campsite. If no answer blow your horn. Down the road are macadamia farms, strawberry farms and cafes. You can safely leave your caravan here, while exploring the region, with easy access to the coast and Gympie. We look forward to welcoming you! Pets welcome too! The camp ground is part of The Boat Place .The Tin Can Bay end of the property. Enter at the Billabong Breeze sign.

Exceptional large grassed areas to camp. Lots of shade. Great host's, friendly, quick response on arrival and guide you to your spot. Leisurely drive to Rainbow and southern end of Fraser Coast.

We had a lovely stay at billabong breeze. Large sites & very accommodating hosts. George is always up for chat & comes around to make sure everything is ok. Road noise is there but after a night you don’t seem to notice it. It was a long weekend so probably more traffic than usual. Sublime brewery is a few minutes drive up the road & is worth going to for entertainment & a meal.

Billabong Breeze is a hidden gem! From the moment we arrived, the hosts were incredibly welcoming, kind, and helpful — they went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience. The grounds are beautifully maintained with large, lush grassy areas that are nicely spread out, giving everyone plenty of space and privacy and the billabong is a nice touch! The toilets were impressively clean and well looked after. It’s clear that a lot of care and pride goes into keeping this place in top condition. Whether you’re after peace and quiet, a scenic escape, or just a well-run campsite with lovely hosts, Billabong Breeze ticks every box. We’ll definitely be back! 😀👍

Beautiful spot to camp & relax for a few days. Very friendly owners & it was lovely & quiet with pretty views of the stream in front of the sites. Good spot as only 35 mins from Rainbow beach so it was nice to do a trip there but was also great to just chill out in nature! Easy access to water & portable toilet.

Great spot just off the hwy, located between Rainbow Beach and Gympie. Nice sized sites to accommodate all types of camping! Definitely visit again

Absolutely beautiful spot of land along the bank of their billabong. The lady who owns it came and spoke to us for a while and was so lovely. This place had very clean port a loos too. The lady told us about a koala on the land so keep your eyes out and try find it! Thank you so much for the stay. Our best stop yet.

We loved it here, lovely friendly people, water front spaces, beautiful soft green grass, portable toilets and pets allowed lot's of wildlife saw some baby birds, a kangaroo a few kookaburras definitely be back

Unassuming at first and beside a main road, but the campsite is beautiful and still quite peaceful. There are permanents living on the property, which is great because you know you're stuff is safe - they keep an eye out for each other and anyone staying on the property. Everyone is so friendly, inclusive and genuine - always up for a chat (we got some great local tips!) Heaps of space, you don't feel like you're on top of your neighbours. We were only going to stay 4 nights, and ended up staying for a week. Great location too, only 20mins from Gympie & Tin Can Bay, 35mins from Rainbow Beach. Bonus, is that it's dog friendly. Would stay again!

We loved the water views and the camp fire great for an overnight stay the main road out the front of the property was a bit noisy but quite down throughout the night

Had a lovely relaxing time at The Billabong George and staff are very helpful and friendly, very clean portaloos Yes there is traffic noise but sitting by the Billabong watching the wild life is so relaxing it out ways to noise Thank you Robyn,Greg and Teddy

Pros; well maintained grounds, easy to drive in and setup on level ground for a caravan, good spot to stay on your way to Rainbow Beach. Cons; traffic noise is pretty constant as the grounds are right on the main road, I was offered a site at the back of the property where the permanents live which reduced the noise however a labourer was using a generator and power tools doing upba new shower block during the daylight hours so I could not escape the noise.

Loved our private site with table & chairs with our own fire pit. Lovely to look over at the billabong & lovely plants. The people we dealt with were so friendly & helpful

Welcoming hosts and the site was as expected from the online details. Like any camp site with a body of water there was a few insects but not enough to bother us once we had the fire going and some citronella candles. My one minor criticism is that the billabong could have been slighly more sympathetically maintained/presented e.g. replacements of rough concrete banks and part submerged iron girders with graded earth bank We picked this site for the location and it served us well. Amenities are basic but clean so no issues there.

I stayed a week and enjoyed it immensely. Lovely green parking sites, well maintained. Quiet. Firepits supplied and firewood for sale there. Steve and Gail are very friendly, welcoming and super helpful managers. There is no power so you have to be able to go off grid. You can get water there. It's located nicely between Gympie and Tin Can Bay, Rainbow Beach and Poona and other beaches along the coast. Only a short drive to Maryborough and Hervey Bay. And reasonably priced.
