Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Pure and simple bush camping! Half hour from Kingaroy, Ballogie Bush Camp is a great option for groups, large and small looking for an Aussie campout. With 44 acres of bush property, interspersed with clearings, we've got plenty of space, from couples looking for a quite bush getaway to large groups enjoying their annual retreat! If we have multiple bookings at the one time, you are still guaranteed privacy. We don't have any facilities, so campers need to be self-contained with their own toilet, however, we can arrange hire toilets for groups. We've hosted many group events here in the past, from bush weddings to annual club gatherings. As well as the camping space, we offer camp oven catering near our Big Top shelter, mastered by Australian champion cooks. Nothing more Aussie than tender meat and veg cooked in the coals, surrounded by eucalypts! The property is all-weather access, with plenty of turning spaces for big rigs. When you arrive, you can choose your campsite, or we can advise the best spots for you. Set up camp along the creek and dam, find a clearing in the bush, or you can cross the seasonal creek and park/pitch in a large, open grassed area. While the creek is only running when we've had rain, the dam has water all year round, and on a hot day, you can go for a dip or a kayak, and maybe even catch some red claw! Pets are welcome, from dogs to horses. We allow campfires, and can provide additional firewood for a charge - see extras. A Little Slice of Heaven

Terry and Leagh’s property is simply remarkable. I booked 1 week and ended up extending my stay. It offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle, nestled conveniently close to Wondai, Kingaroy, and the rail trails. It truly feels like paradise—so quiet and tranquil. I was the only one there, and enjoyed a beautiful spot overlooking the dam. Terry also kindly offered me to move my setup under the shed when it rained, and any extras I should want for my stay. A great place to put down roots for a while after travelling around. Stunning bushland with beautiful Australian wildlife. Portable toilets are available if needed. Terry and Leah are incredibly warm and inviting, and their son, Jarrod, was also very helpful with any questions I had, greeting me alongside Terry upon my arrival. It’s a place you feel you could stay indefinitely and easily forget about the world around you. This place allows your soul to breathe, offering a chance to exhale and relax. Even if you’re just passing through for one night, I wholeheartedly recommend experiencing this beautiful and tranquil retreat.

Ballogie Bush Camp
Ballogie Bush Camp was a lovely and tranquil place to stay. The owners of the property, Terry & Leagh, were great hosts and very friendly people. We had a beautiful spot overlooking the dam. We took many scenic walks around the property and the surrounding areas, and saw lots of kangaroos. Port-a-loo's were also available for use. We would highly recommend this camp for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat.

Ballogie Bush Camp
Excellent spot if you need to escape from the rat race and just take in the quiet surroundings. The hosts are very welcoming and friendly. I will be coming back for another stay in the future and would not hesitate in recommending this to fellow campers.

Peaceful campground in the bush. Only ones there, friendly hosts. Just what we needed as a get away. Our dog enjoyed it just as much. Highly recommend Baloogie Bush Camp.

beautiful and peaceful , we were the only ones there so it was very quiet. The directions were perfect and the owner came to say hello , very nice man. We will definitely come back again

Ballogie Bush Camp
Booked last minute due to another camp falling through due to rain. Had the camp to ourselves. Very peaceful. Friendly hosts. Not far from Wondai rail trail and MTB trails.

We loved the peace and quiet surroundings of the bush. It's a great place to just relax. Jarrod and his family are very welcoming and friendly. We had a great Easter Break.

Ballogie Bush Camp
What can I say had a fantastic weekend. So close to home but felt like we were a million miles away so quite and peaceful. As we were the only ones there we had the place to ourselves. We have picked out our next spot for the next time we go out there. It was just so good to sit back relax and watch the world go by. Our little puppy had so much fun on her fist camping trip going for walks and down to the dam. Was very hard to pack up and leave this morning. Can’t wait til we return.
