Baffle Creek Retreat

The retreat cottage, surrounds and hosts are just fabulous Superb facilities, great fully equipped kitchen, indoor outdoor living, wonderful sunsets, crabbing fishing… I know there’s a huge flathead still out there…had it on the line just about in the boat😳 Had an awesome 4 days..Very cool place..5star!!!

We loved our time at Baffle creek, the hosts are just fantastic! Good facilities! Ice, bait and other items available on site! Met some fantastic people, I was amazed how good our time there was! Caught plenty of fish too!

We had an amazing stay at this campground! The views of the river were absolutely stunning—waking up to the peaceful water and surrounding nature was a real highlight. Surprisingly, there were no mosquitoes during our trip, which made the evenings around the campfire even more enjoyable. We made great use of the boat ramp for some fishing, which was super convenient and well-maintained. The amenities on site were spotless and clearly well looked after, making the whole experience really comfortable. A big shoutout to Kenton, who went above and beyond to help us out when we had an issue with our boat. His friendly attitude and willingness to lend a hand made a big difference and really added to the overall vibe of the place. Highly recommend this spot—great location, great facilities, and even better hospitality!

Clean amenities, tidy camp sites, excellent host, and just a beautiful/quiet parcel of nature. It even has a golf course and air strip inside the property! Riverside camping minus the wild animals! We are definitely going back.

We got upgraded to a river front site, so that was pretty cool. And the onsite Golf course was an unexpected surprise. Amenities were clean & accessible. Sites were good size.

I was greeted by Jesse who was a lovely bloke and gave me a quick rundown of our camp-site. It was very spacious and the facilities were absolutely fantastic. Big kitchen area with bbqs and sink etc. The showers and toilets were very well maintained and clean. Kenton was fantastic to talk with also. It's a great laid back camp that I would recommend for all families.

BRILLIANT... But don't tell anyone hahahaha. Jesse greeted us on arrival and was amazing. Absolutely beautiful place, credit to the owners and Jesse. We loved it, our pupper loved it and we were left alone to enjoy everything the place had to offer. Sweet, full mud crabs, great fishing and a reasonably private camp spot. Oh... throw in a hot shower and toilet, both spotlessly clean and we have found our new favourite place. We will be regulars!!!!!

Great spot and amenities. Sites are spread out so you are not on top off everybody. Full camp kitchen boat ramp and jetty. Kenton and his family were welcoming and great hosts.

Fantastic position by the water

The experience at the Waterview Baffle Creek Hip Camp was wonderful. It was pet friendly - non-shedding poodle breed of dog was allowed inside. The cabin has warmth and interior design elements with aromas and herb garden viewed from the lounge, all the comforts of home, beautiful view from the outdoor fire pit to Baffle Creek. Fully insect screened and private with own laundry and shower/toilet facilities. Hosts were superbly kind and lovely to chat with and welcomed us onto their property and gave advice about what there was to do in the local area.

Overall it was good. The ground was flat and well maintained and the camp owners were friendly. The big downside is that there are mozzies/midgies EVERYWHERE. I couldn’t imagine how much of a problem it would be at the height of summer or after some rain.

We ended up on site 1 and it was perfect, right on the waters edge, peaceful with plenty of shade. The only downside to our stay was probably the sand flies and mozzies but they where expected.. definitely be going back again

Perfect for fishing, boating or juat being by the water. Incredibly clean and well set up facilities. Camp kitchen was a great back up, came in handy for us. Camp sites are well spaced with plenty of room availiable for set ups. Definately would book again.

Baffle Creek at it's best!!!

We had an awesome family camping trip at Baffle Creek Retreat. The facilities were great and it was a perfect spot for kayaking and fishing. The hosts and staff were excellent and gave spot on recommendations for food and things to do. The location was peaceful and the other campers made for memorable experience.

booked in 2 weeks prior and travelled 5hrs to get there to not have the spot but to be given a crappy spot as my booked spot somebody else was in and with no privacy. owner had the take it or leave it attitude until i said i am not happy. a discussion with him escalated to the point i didnt want to be there. he offered a refund and i got outa there.. nice place but not what is promoted no privacy, lots of other people staying and fishing along the bank has limited access. if you think just relaxing on the bank of the river wetting a line in nice peaceful scenery then maybe this is NOT the place for you. was less crowded at Inskip point hahahaha

We stayed at the Red Hill camp spot. It was private, unreal view of Baffle Creek, very clean amenities, host was welcoming and helpful. The camp site itself had everything we needed and more. We will definitely be back!

Relaxing weekend

What a great relaxing weekend. Setup on a riverfront site instead of the bush camp and took advantage of the gorgeous river view. I went for a bit of a wander around the property and came across a hidden bridge amongst the trees and marsh area with a glimpse of a platypus swimming underneath. A short drive to Rules beach was a must especially with the perfect weather. The toilets/showers and camp kitchen were also a bonus. I would definitely love to stay again

We loved our 3n stay at Baffle Ck Retreat, so close to the water, wood for campfires, super clean facilities & nice & quiet with large private sites. We’d also recommend Mojo kayak hire with Jo, she will drop kayaks off for you & you can kayak (2hrs) down to her at the Flat Rock picnic area. Great value you just need someone to pick you up. Loved Rules Beach, we can’t wait to visit again.

We had a great stay on this beautiful property, right on the river! Kenton was very welcoming and helpful. Our kids loved fishing off the jetty and riding bikes around. The amenities were very clean. We totally enjoyed our stay at the River Front camp site. Added bonus was the large table with bench seating. With a large fire pit and firewood available made the cool evenings just right. Campsites are far enough apart so that you are not on top of each other. New clean amenities. Situated close enough for a drive through Deepwater National Park. And pet friendly.

Absolutely amazing spot, we camped in the Riverview section and it was just fantastic. Close to amenities and even though it rained the whole time the kids had an absolute ball! Kenton was a fantastic host and nothing was too much trouble. We will be back!

Cracker site, hosts are as friendly as can be. Had a good fish off the jetty, didnt get the trophy fish but still got plenty :) Lovely clean facilities whoch is always a plus and ice to buy onsite....a saviour in the hot days Will be back for sure with friends :) Cheers Kenton
