I only booked this location because I was taking my son who loves swimming and they have a swimming pool. Wasn’t til after I checked in that I was told it wouldn’t be cleaned for our stay. No message before hand(we wouldn’t have come if we were told). It was very hot, and we were very disappointed. The toilet smell from our campsite was also really bad.

The staff were really great! The first night we were there, there was a group who were loud throughout the night and in the morning Doug was really proactive about getting everyone's feelings about them and moved them further away from everyone. Apart from that, even though it was a long weekend, it didn't feel like we were all camping on top of each other's spaces! We had lots of fun!

It was pretty nice, the spot that we got was at the font of the lake and it was very beautiful. You should guys paying attention to the people who lives in those houses, the make seeing the place a bit disorganised but after that was pretty cool

Overall, we had a great experience. The location offers beautiful water views and a peaceful atmosphere. The facilities could use some upgrades - particularly the toilets and showers - but the nearby boat ramp is convenient and easy to access, please note this ramp is outside the camp ground.

Overall an ok campsite however most sites are dirt and gravel, not actually grass. Gets quite dusty when cars drive past. We were there during a busy holiday and the toilet paper constantly ran out at the toilets, only 3 toilets each for females and males which got way too crowded. Cleaning should also have been a lot more frequent during busy times like this as toilets specifically got quite nasty. Showers were quite nice but again, when so many people are camping there they also become quite gross. Overall 3/5 rating.

Lovely location right on the water. Large, powered site. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Only complaint would be not enough toilets (3) near where we were. There were more up nearer the permanent sites but when you've got a small child who's 'busting' it's quite a trek. Also, the smell was quite bad. The toilets themselves were clean so I can only assume that was the septic tank. All in all, we had a great weekend.

Excellent place fair price the scenery was nice and beautiful, the toilet doors are gone and can’t be locked , showers hot water was strong and temp is good!

The owners there are lovely, the camping is also pretty good other then the bathrooms needing a little tlc and there being no hot water for the shower it was a great stay definitely reccomend

Our stay at Atkinsons Lake was nice. The area is beautiful.
Facilities were ok and kept moderately clean. The powered sites were not all functioning. The only real downside was the caretaker asking us to keep the kids quiet from 6pm and the permanent residents have a very loud domestic dispute late into the night. Would be a great place to stay under new ownership and with a bit of TLC

Hubby & I had a beautiful relaxing time in our campervan on the lakefront campsite. We saw so much birdlife, loved the resident goats Cappuccino & Daisy in the animal farm.. Toilets were unfortunately not up to standard for cleanliness..But we will go back again to camp as it was a special place.

The toilets and showers weren't clean and stunk and all expect for one toilet was out of toilet paper and out if soap in dispenser. The playground is a bit rundown and mould visible could do with an upgrade. The photos are nothing compared to what it actually looks like the areas are overgrown in some parts and the canteen and service desk was closed on a Sunday and it's a 20 min drive to the closest servo for essentials. The park members were polite however not understanding of my son having a disability and had a meltdown causing a scene and we were told to leave unfortunately.

The host was friendly, but unfortunately, that was the only positive. The campsite looked nothing like the photos online. It was overgrown, with limited access to the lake through heavily overgrown areas. There were several permanent residents living in makeshift caravans, and the area was littered with rubbish. It didn’t feel like a proper campsite at all. Definitely not a place I’d recommend especially if you take the kids.

Tolulet and showers are clean. Kind and nice host. Nice view next to the big lake. I enjoy camping at this site a lot.

Worst park ever! Park needs serious clean up. Luckily our family had booked only 1 night. Emergency vehicles arrived through the night, I believe due to unruly campers. Disrespectful campers allow children to run wildly at night shining flashlights all over..parents need to be responsible and show some level of courtesy to other campers. Not a place for a quiet pleasurable stay. Management really need some rules in place. We should have read previous reviews before making a booking.

After staff telling us to pick any site as we were first there and setting up camp the manager asked us to move as he had promised this particular site to others.
We refused to move but would pack up and leave with a full refund. He agreed.

Overall the communication was non existence.
The camp is not maintained. The grass is near stomach height. The bathroom amenities have not been cleaned in a long time and the overall state of the park was well below an acceptable standard

The pictures advertised were way different to what was there.
Toilet and shower facilities were filthy dirty.
The price charged was too exorbitant.
General upkeep of the facility was very poor.

Proper campsite! Freedom to have fires and explore, nothing but kind friendly people and laid back atmosphere. Ignore the bad reviews! If you want a fancy campsite with posh bogs (boring) there’s plenty of them around, then this isn’t the campsite for you.

We were fortunate to get a huge site for our small 2 caravan group with awesome views/settings of the lake but….the rest of the campgrounds just needed more attention with clean up and maintenance. On arrival through the gates it felt a bit like a old car yard. Totally appreciate more people and time = money but just a little bit of care to keep the grounds cleaner would make a huge difference. I hope you take this without offence and see it as the feedback it’s intended to be.
Clear all the broken scrap and old mattresses, get some decent size bins so bags are not dumped around 2 residential bins, look after the kayaks/equipment people expect to hire, keep your shoreline clean of bottles/broken chairs, etc and put more responsibilities on the campers to leave their sites clean on departure. Showers were good but toilets were not pleasant at all.
The staff could not be more helpful and nothing was too much effort. Staff are great.
If you could find a way to give the place a bit more care and attention this place we be fantastic. The kids enjoyed it and we enjoyed the views from our site. Thanks guys.

We got a spot right down past the animals and it was nice and quiet! Kids loved the swimming pool. Very accommodating people. Will be back!
