Fantastic spot.. just drove in and chose where we wanted to set up., wasn’t too many camping at that time. There is flat ground along creek side for roof top tents/caravans, gotta be quick there.
Ammenities were clean when we arrived. Met the host/s, they will come along and check if you’ve paid, great merch on hand too! Had access to some firewood, that was provided from host, a big limb cut up.
Beautiful views, rapids were a treat. Quite peacefull.
But also it depends on what dynamics come along. Can be inundated with huge families that let their rubbish fly around & will use their leaf blowers throughout the night, no regards for anyone else, will burn what they want in their fire and wash their clothing in the hand basin at the toilets!
Reported to host… other than that, bloody good spot.

Overall we had a good experience. Unfortunately not much space between camps and way to many people, not very private. Would be great if there were numbered sites so people could go to said site without worrying about what spot to pick to set up

Beautiful setting. Clean and very well maintained, family n pet friendly. Barry n Dan monitored area daily n very approachable. Having river close by -perfect for swimming n cooling off our furbaby. We had great spot, used a leveller for caravan, slight slope no biggie. Was busy over long weekend, we loved our time there. Will definitely go back n highly recommend.

I loved camping here. Came as a solo trip and met some real amazing people. Dan the host was super helpful, offering firewood, free hikes and knows all about the local area. Definitely will be coming back again with some mates. Thanks Dan for making my trip so enjoyable.

We will never use Hipcamp again as we tried to book an Easter trip and money didn’t go through to where it was supposed to, so know we have nowhere to go at Easter, still trying to get our money back, thanks Hipcamp

Large camping area, you do not need to camp next to anyone and very quiet at night. Short walk to the creek for a refreshing swim.

Big space, not organized into sites so just go whereever. Sat night was quite busy, if you want to see and hear nature Sunday night was a lot quieter. Creek was nice to swim and explore , Dog friendly. Beautiful place.

Everything about the land is beautiful, from the creek, to the well manicured grass and the beautiful backdrop of hills. The toilets are cleaner than most public bathrooms, with 4 stalls to choose from. Being so busy, we chose to park up the back hill in our own little slice of paradise. We encountered a few problems with other campers but nothing that couldn’t be fixed with communication. The peace of our trip was interrupted as a possible religious holiday was taking place with groups of 40+ set up throughout the camp leaving small gaps in between their sites for others to use, they washed dishes in the creek and partied late into the night with work lights pointed at our camp. We are keen to come back at a quieter time and really enjoy how beautiful this place actually is.

The running creek was great however we struggled to get flat ground for our vans . Went over new years too and it was very packed, so hard to get a decent spot . Kids still have fun but not much flat ground for vans

It would have cost less than half to pay onsite.
Your prices and child age rules do not allign with the site fees and site rules. Make sure you do your due dilligence and investigate prior to using this app.

The views are wonderful and the creek (though across the road) is very accessible and lovely to cool off in. The camp area is a lot more sloped than the pictures show so be prepared to level off with ramps.

I loved tent camping under the trees and soaking in the hilly mountains. It was a beautiful space to be present and wake up each morning to a breathtaking view!
I would highly recommend this space if you are wanting some quiet time amongst the greenery.

Pretty cool spot nestled in between a mountain. Water holl is pretty sweet after some rain too. However the majority of the camping site is on a slope down a hill. Some might not care about this but if u have a swag or a caravan it can be quite annoying. Keep that in to consideration when setting up awnings too.

The river was a highlight. The water was beautiful and clean, and the temperature was perfect. Nice and cool for the hot summer days, but not too chilly that it was uncomfortable. The mix of shaded and sunlight water was also great to allow swimming without the risk of sunburn if you were smart about it. Still many sunburns were spotted.
The location was large, with plenty of options for camping spots, we chose the top of the hills in the trees. So we had plenty of shade, got to see several lace monitors, and a gorgeous carpet python, just keep watch for the bulldog ants, their bites are nasty, but short lived.
The toilets were well kept and well stocked, and Barry was there regularly to make sure they were kept tidy. He was a lovely casual kind of fella to deal with, which also made the stay pleasant and stress free.
To top it off, the drive there and back was beautiful. I'm keen to make this a regular visit.

Overall, we made it work, but there were some downsides.
The main road through town runs directly through the middle of the campground, which was a big negative for us. Most of the campground is on a hill, so there aren’t many suitable spots for caravans. The only real flat area is up the top near the toilets.
The main attraction of the campground is the river, but it’s on the other side of the road. If you manage to get a spot near the river, you’ll be set up on a slope.
With young kids and dogs, having the road so close—especially when staying near the river—was quite off-putting.
The grounds didn’t allow for the kids to get their bikes out, as was too hilly. Our 7 kids were ages 2-7.
The creek was great; it’s a beautiful spot, clean camp grounds and toilets were well maintained daily.
Just those small factors impacted us camping with a large group of adults and 7 kids.

First time camping at this beautiful property.
Perfect spot for a family camping getaway. My two boys absolutely loved exploring up and down the river, roasting marshmallows by the fire, and soaking up all the natural beauty this place has to offer. The drive out to the property is beautiful, and it’s only 15 minutes from a lovely country town with a corner store and pub.
The host was fantastic—we often saw him driving around making sure the restrooms were well stocked with soap and toilet paper. The campsites are well maintained and nicely spread out, so it never felt crowded. We were also pleasantly surprised by the lack of mosquitoes despite being so close to the water.
Overall, we had the best few days here and would absolutely recommend it.

Located in a beautiful area, the campground is maintained well by the caretaker who comes around frequently to clean the toilets and check on the campsite users.
The grounds are not entirely flat. But they are grass.
It was very busy and packed - some campers left food and rubbish everywhere which wasn’t very nice. Having rubbish bins onsite for the peak season would eliminate some of the rubbish left around by inconsiderate users.
Signage to prohibit campers from doing their washing up at the toilets or in the creek is needed.

Site was very well maintained and clean. Cleanest campsite toilets I've ever seen. Site manager was around frequently to keep the place well maintained. Unfortunately, like all large camp sites, not all guests follow good campsite etiquette with their music, or walking through other people's camps in the night, leaving rubbish behind, smoking the place out using bark from the forest to light their fires.

I loved it at the camp area! The river was amazing with nice water to swim in. We saw baby turtles. The campsite was busy but we got a nice area that we stay at. It was up the hill. But if ur up there u might want to be careful because sometime there would be a smell cuz of the waste water they use for watering the plant up there. Other than that the weather was fantastic.

The views are absolutely stunning. The creek has some rock pools where you can sit and enjoy the water coming down. Be careful as the rocks are slippery.
Well looked after facilities and the caretaker is around the site daily. Only downside would be that the spot we got was on a hill so tricky to set up camp. We'd definitely be back
