Our sites offer serenity and seclusion where you can feel free to be human and one with nature. On our property you will see open meadows where our horses graze amongst the wildflowers, woods abundant with wildlife, miles of hiking trails that are marked and maintained for your exploration. Stunning sunsets, peaceful sunrises, and unforgettable nights of stargazing. There's something special about sitting around the campfire while horses graze nearby, watching them wonder through the meadow, and starting your morning with their peaceful presence. it's a simple, authentic connection to farm life that you wont find an an ordinary campground. We also have an orchard, backyard vineyard and thriving garden areas that help us all live closer to the land. We offer two unique areas to set-up camp. The Cornerstone camp site is a wooded grove with a beautiful tree canopy offering shade and a glorious sense of well-being while living in the woods. The Hill Top site offers a panoramic view of our amazing natural landscapes from quiet dells to swelling hills. An awe-inspiring site in the autumn months taking in the colors as far as the eye can see. Need a lift to your campsite? We'd be happy to give you (and your gear) a ride right to your campsite so you don't have to worry about carrying everything in. Just let us know when you'll be arriving. Weather permitting, all-wheel/4-wheel drives are welcome do drive right out to your site. You'll notice that our property is also home to horses. They live and graze freely on the land, so from time to time, they may wander near your campsite. The horses are gentle and friendly, and many guest enjoy their quiet company during their stay. We do ask that you admire them respectfully. Please don't feed them, and give them space if they get curious and come close. They're part of the land's charm, and we're happy to share their presence with you. Old School Farm and Workshop is a 40-acre modern homestead located in the heart of Ohio's Appalachian Country. We are 10 miles from Salt Fork State Park, Ohio's largest State Park and Ohio's Bigfoot Capital. While there, visit the new Eco-Discovery Center. Boating? We are only 6 miles to the Morning Glory boat ramp. Take your kayak on the Tuscarawas River, Simonds-Heller Park is only 13 miles away. Ride bike on the Great Guernsey Trail or check out their self-serve Kayak rental kiosk. We are at the back door of Ohio's Amish Country, and only a 45 minute drive to one of the largest conservation centers in the world, The Wilds. There are so many things to do in this beautiful region of Ohio. We look forward to your visit. "Non nobis solum"

This space offers a rare opportunity to camp with houses. The Cornerstone campsite is a secluded wooded grove with a beautiful tree canopy offering shade and a glorious sense of well-being while living in the woods. We call it the Cornerstone because it is a very special corner of our property with amazing outcrops of bedrock to explore. There is a 12'x16' tent platform/deck, stone firepit and cooking grate as well as a picnic table. Guests have access to communal toilet and jugs of potable water will be available.

Wake up to the gentle sounds of horses grazing in the meadows surrounding your campsite. Here the horses aren't behind a fence or tucked away in a barn, they're right there, sharing the landscape with you. The Hill Top campsite offers a panoramic view of our amazing natural landscapes from quiet dells to swelling hills. An awe-inspiring site to see in the autumn months taking in the colors as far as the eye can see. This campsite is a flat and grassy space, a stone firepit with cooking grate and benches for seating. A pergola for shade and table. Guests can set up camp anywhere in the mowed area. Guests will have access to communal toilet and jugs of potable water will be available. If you have a camper please know - This site can ONLY accommodate Off-Road Trailer, Truck Camper, Military/Utility, Pop-up or Teardrop Campers pulled with 4x4, 4x4 Truck Tent Camping, and Moto Camping.

Cornerstone Camp
We loved camping here! The camping spot was so nice with the wooden base for our tent and the picnic table. They put flowers on the picnic table which was very cute. Also everything you need for a fire and cooking over the fire. The outhouse was the best outhouse we’ve seen hipcamping. It was so clean and had extra supplies. The land is also beautiful for walking and hiking. The hike was hard but worth it through the forest. It was all maintained very well. We saw the horses when it started to get dark and they did come to our campsite while we were sleeping which was very cool. They are a very sweet couple who made sure you have everything you could need during your stay and we will definitely be coming back! We had a great time here.

Cornerstone Camp
We absolutely loved our stay here! They truly went above and beyond all of our expectations! The property is meticulously kept, the horses are so gorgeous, everything couldnt be more perfect here! With just a quick cell phone call they even rescued us with their side-by-side at 5:30am when the thunderstorm became too much to bear! Couldn't recommend this camp enough and they have earned us as campers for life!

Words can’t possible due this property justice. Kate is a wonderful host and I highly recommend this site. It is so beautiful, tranquil, and MUST go on your to- do list!! The horses were fantastic and made daily visits, the last night there they stayed around the site all evening and night. The fire pit set up is so convenient! Don’t pass this one up!!! The land, the hosts…..simply amazing!!

We loved everything about our stay! First of all, Kate and her husband greeted us at the gate and gave us a ride with our gear to the site. Wonderful hosts, very friendly and welcoming! The horses came out in the evening and grazed around the property most of the night. Very peaceful, and gentle! If you’re a bird watcher, they have a ton of variety on their property. Heard/saw many warblers, barn owl, and even a scarlet and summer tanager! Outhouse is clean and very well maintained. We look forward to our next stay!

Hill Top Camp-Camping with horses
One of the best camping experiences we’ve ever had! This place is beautiful and Kate and Dave were the best hosts. We stayed at the Hill Top site and it was full of amazing views and our newest horse friends came to visit at night. The area is perfect with a large picnic table and fire pit and miles of trails right below it. We weathered a pretty bad storm but they made us feel right at home and offered their patio and towels for us to stay dry and safe until it passed over. We enjoyed talking with them and listening to some of the plans they have for this and other sites down the road and we can’t wait to come back. Definitely stay here if you are looking for somewhere close to Salt Fork or want an off grid home away from home experience. Couldn’t have asked for a better weekend even with the weather not cooperating.

We loved our camping experience at Hill Top Farm/ Kate met us at the gate and personally escorted us to the site- made us feel so welcome- BEAUTIFULLY manicured hill top/ beautiful views and campsite- loved the firepit, composting outhouse, and the two horses we made friends with - only our second hipcamp night experience- it was a great one!

Cornerstone Camp
If I could leave a 10-star review, I would! Dave and Kate were amazing hosts with an unbelievable location and amenities. We chose the site under the trees, which was magical — tucked under the tree canopy with a stack of firewood right next to the fire pit (which also comes with a swivel grilling grate). There’s also a nice level deck platform. The outhouse is the cleanest and nicest one you’ll find — it even had hand sanitizer. We did their guided tour, and my daughter absolutely loved it: seeing the schoolhouse, going on a hike, and petting and feeding the horses. It was such a fun experience! The hosts were super reliable and helpful. An A++++ experience all around.

Cornerstone Camp
What a magical place!!! My business partner and I host reiki & sound Healing events and this property was the perfect location for our participants to hike, relax, and receive! The hiking trails are immaculately maintained and were the perfect grounding experience for our event. We utilized the tent platform at cornerstone camp as a stage in which to hold our participants and ourselves for the reiki and sound Healing session. It was an absolutely beautiful experience!

Kate and Dave are the best! They are very thoughtful and friendly hosts, and clearly put a lot of work into this hipcamp. We were excited to share the property with a few horses and when we arrived we were greeted by a few- they were the best greeting committee! Dave and Kate took us back to our site on a UTV through sunny prairie land while Karma (their dog) happily ran behind! The UTV was definitely a nice touch since it could carry our camp supplies down to the wooded site for us (which we absolutely loved staying at- perfect for hammock and tent camping). The other site on the hill top would be a great destination campsite for adventure motorcyclists like my husband and is suited very well for large groups- we're planning to return on our motorcycles next time we stay here! We highly recommend this hipcamp property to any type of camper who wants to get away and have a very thoughtful, peaceful, and carefree retreat away from home- thank you again Dave and Kate! - Sarah + Keith
