Fabulous property with flat sites, drop toilets and mostly Jacinda, she gave a free tour of the property which was wonderful!!!! She explained the history and how they’ve made it a very eco friendly environment, all the animals, trees etc. highly rate

What a great outback experience! Highly recommended end-to-end.
Great hosts with great humour and what a location. This is red-dirt outback at its best. Become one with nature and watch an amazing star filled sky at night.
You are missing out if you don‘t go and you are in the area.

Such a great stay for when visiting Lightning Ridge. The open space made it so relaxing. My kids had fun jumping on the ninja strap. Kelly did a great tour of the farm and the kids asked lots of questions. Highly recommend the Cook Your Own meal option. The lamb chops were divine! Pancakes gave us enough to use for brekky on day 2.

Everything was exactly what we expected, Beck in the office looked after us when we checked in & came out to our campsite beside the dam she went above & beyond on making us feel very welcome & explaining everything to us.

We were there at the busiest time of the year and still felt so private. They did a drive out to the wheat field for sunset and 44 cars appeared from the bush!
We had 2 nights here and could easily have had more. The “why are we camping in the middle of nowhere” from the kids before we arrived turned to “why do we have to go so soon”
Awesome hosts, Jacinda always up for a chat and their kids will adopt yours for hours.
We spent more time at camp than in Lightning Ridge as it was just so relaxing.

Carinya Station is a must for anyone travelling through or visiting Lightning Ridge. Jacinda and Joe have put so much love and care to build their incredible property and they are so welcoming and available for help or general conversation any time.
Well worth the visit - the clean air, the open space, the fire pits and the array of animals are please to everyone including the kids.

We couldn’t have asked for a better stay at Carinya Station. We had a warm welcome when we arrived, and found a beautiful quiet spot to camp, with beautiful views over the fields and the bush. It was great to be able to bring our dog. We would recommend Carinya Station to anyone.

We absolutely loved our stay at Carinya, Jacinda was so helpful and responsive to all enquiries. I highly recommend the cook your own meal options, fresh and generous, and Jacinda’s freshly baked scones were enjoyed by the whole family.
Beautiful property, plenty of space to spread out, you can camp far from anyone. Not too far from town and much nicer than any of the caravan parks. Our kids loved the Baby goats and chickens, and could ride their bikes everywhere. We would love to visit again one day.

We loved camping at the station. Jacinda and her family are so lovely. The farm tour was a highlight and it was an amazing place for a toddler to live out her animal loving dreams. Was easy to get too and close to Lightning Ridge.

My family and I were lucky enough to win a competition partially sponsored by Hipcamp. I was able to chose to stay at any Hipcamp in NSW. Growing up and living on the East Coast, we wanted to experience something totally different. Lightning Ridge was always a place that we wanted to visit, so choosing Carinya Station was a no brainer. We are so so glad that we did, as we had an absolutely fabulous time.
We stayed for 5 nights in the Gidgee Glamping Trailer. Greeted warmly by Jacinda on arrival, all of us receiving a Carinya Station shirt, welcome platter and wine. How wonderful it was to arrive to a fully set up camper trailer, which included a double bed and 2 singles ( all with beautiful warm linen ), our own private fire pit ( chopped wood provided every day ) and our own rustic outdoor ensuite including shower and bath. The camper was fully heated, and contained everything needed for our camping stay.
Our meals were provided for us to cook, which was fabulous as you didn’t have to organise anything after a long day sight seeing. I was also spoilt by having a freshly brewed coffee delivered by Jacinda every morning.
The novelty of staying on a working farm, being able to interact and feed all the animals, or just relaxing at your bush camp around an open fire enjoying your surroundings , there is something for everyone, young and old. I would definitely recommend staying at Carinya Station to anyone.
We enjoyed our stay so much that we didn’t want to leave.

What a warm and welcoming host. The place is so well set up for private camping as well as communal - you can be close to the action or way away. My favourite part was the farm tour - so interesting! Will definitely be back with my kids.

My family loved camping at Carinya Station.. We booked for a night, but extended our stay to two nights. The kids loved feeding the many goats that freely roamed the property and specially loved cuddling the lambs. The farm tour from Jacinda was informative and worthwhile, and free!
Although there were many campers during our stay, we easily found an area that felt private. Free to collect wood from the property for a camp fire.

What a great place!!
Multiple places to camp.
Even though we had the place to ourselves the set out of the camping areas indicate you are totally separated from any neighbours.
Camp fires each night with wood available on site.
Jo and Jacinda are very approachable and available when required.
Kids will have a ball with the farm animals that roam around.

Absolutely loved it, Jacinda has to be one of the most welcoming people I have ever met. Full of energy, smiles, love and positivity I will be back for sure! She even made me a birthday cake with salt bush decorations and all!!! 100% recommended. Great camping spot with clean toilets. All the red dirt and farm animals you can imagine. Great to have a fire under the incredible star lit skies. Not far from the hot baths so we had a free soak most mornings or evenings anyway! Lighting ridge is a place to visit carinya station was a bonus.

Jacinta is adorable and here place is a little gem just outside Lightning Ridge.
Plenty of place to enjoy a peaceful stay in the shade of trees during the day and with only other fires shining in the distance at night.
Definitely our place to stay next time we are in the area... if only it was closer to home that would be a regular spot.
And cherry onbthe cake.... you get get everything to cook a delicious roast from Jacinta!

We loved our stay at Carinya farm. Whilst it was busy over the Easter long weekend we still found a spot to camp to enjoy the outback views. The kids loved cuddling the kid goats and learning about farm life. It was also a highlight to enjoy a daily dip in the artesian baths just down the road.
