Levitated to a different level
Cory has the perfect little set up! This was my first time in a levitating tent and it was BEYOND comfortable! In my opinion, much better than one on the ground. The campsite is clean, surrounded by beautiful hemlocks with a swamp at the base of the camp. It does come alive at night! This was the perfect place to reset, would definitely recommend. Thanks, Cory!

Central to everything
Super cute layout. You pull into a parking area, and are greeted by a faced tree. There’s a fire pit area and a cute little path to a private tent area. Right in the middle of everything U.P! You can hear other guests but not see them. Fabulous stay! 10/10 would recommend!

My stay 8/27/22
Great spot! Stayed 8/27/22. It was a challenge to find the spot. For anybody reading. Take the street Florence Dr right across from Bear Den Grocery and the spots are down on the lleft. Great spot and away from the road.

Finding the site was very difficult because I was never provided with an address, just a “pin” on Google Maps. I received emails and texts warning me not to pull into, park near, or approach the neighbors. And as I finally figured out the location, I saw “for sale” signs for the property, which seemed suspicious about whether this was a legal parking place. I tried texting and calling the host, with no answer to calls and a late reply to text. And when I finally parked and opened the door for 5 minutes, about 30 mosquitos flew in. I left first thing in the morning, and though I’d reserved and paid for two nights, I did not go back.

Would Do It Again :)
Beautiful quiet location for looking at the stars and privacy. Cory was kind about us having a rather late night arrival, but wouldn’t advise to do so unless necessary. Great location between the Garlyn Zoo and Tahquamenon!

We loved tent camping on Cory's land! There were 3 other sites but we couldn't hear anything of them from our site as they're all pretty far from each other. Site 1, where we stayed looked to have the largest open area. It was well equipped with a fire ring and picnic bench. We ended up extending our stay as it was the perfect spot to explore the UP while still having the remoteness of camping :)

I loved camping in the Levitating Tent! Corey’s site was easily accessible and clearly marked, and communication with Corey was great. Would highly recommend staying at any of his sites, and I plan to do so in the future.

Great spot for the price.
This was a lovely spot to camp for the night! However it was a little hard to find as we got in a little late and the GPS doesn’t take you right to the spot and with no directions given. Good spot but recommend to get there early so you know where you are going. Also the communication with the host was not great. Barely got any response from them when we mentioned our arrival times. Other than that the site was nice but not super well kept up with. Great spot for the price!

Highly Recommend!
Highly recommend staying here when visiting in the area! It is conveniently located close to the Pictured Rocks & many other places when checking out the Upper Peninsula. Our campsite was very private & Cory was accommodating for all of our needs! Would stay here again whenever we have the opportunity to visit Michigan in the future!

Loved staying in the elevated tent. It was such a treat at the end of a day exploring to have a tent already set up! The tent was spacious and comfortable. I’d definitely recommend it!

Pleasantly surprised!
My daughter and I were unsure what to expect as this was our 1st time on Hipcamp, but were surprised to find Cory's camp site was wonderful! We told our friends it was the 2 room campsite... Lol...as the spot for the tent was separated from main camping area. It was cozy! We were not expecting the darling wood stove, chairs and picnic table! The little touches of cute tree faces and the rocks along the path, show the attentiveness Cory has put into his site. We read other campers suggestions and brought bug spray but also used a camp fogger to keep mosquitoes at bay. The site is quiet and private and plenty of distance from the other sites. The proximity to drive 1-2 hrs and see other things was convenient. Great location off main highway. Would come back again!

This is a great get away!
We chose levitating the in the U.P for our 12th anniversary and were not disappointed. We drive from southern Wisconsin on our motorcycles and with the map available from Cory were able to locate our campsite #2. The drive around the lake to the campsites is gravel but we took our time and no issue on our bikes. The site itself was a small drive down a dirt road. When we first pulled up we noticed how private the site was and how clean. The site had a fire ring, picnic table, wooden stump chair, hammock, wood burning stove and the levitating tent with platform. On the platform was easy to follow instructions. The bathroom was located a short walk from the enterance of our site to a well marked pathway. A pit toilet was located at the end of this trail along with the liability waivers we signed. The tent itself was very comfortable and easy to get into. you feel like you are sleeping in a cocoon. We brought an extra blanket but never needed it! This made for great memories for our anniversary and we really enjoyed the beautiful campsite!

Convenient location for affordable
I'm grateful that Cory offers spots in the area at a rate that made it affordable enough for me to explore the Upper Peninsula. The site is no more than an hour from anything to see east of the Pictured Rocks, which is an awful lot. You will not run out of things to do. The Bears Den was a super convenient one-stop-shop for convenient items, including firewood.
Know that cell reception is extremely spotty throughout the area, but I was almost always able to get service at my site. Cory had no choice but to take down the storage shed which used to be on Site 1, so be prepared to keep your stuff in the car overnight or in case of rain.
When I visit again, I'll definitely return to this site!

Camping Cool
Wonderful location Cory is very responsive and the area is well kept. Great place to camp with private tent area off the side. We used hammocks and have no issues. It’s wild enough to be able to listen to the wolves and birds throughout the night.
Nice fire pit lined with rocks and 2 stumps make it very campworthy, definitely would recommend to anyone.
