This was a perfect stop for us on a road trip from WA to CO, it's just off the highway and was super easy to get to after a long day of driving. The space is thoughtfully put together, clean, welcoming, and comfortable. The only thing I can think of that could be a downside for some is that it is surrounded by farmland so you can smell the cow pasture depending on which way the wind blows. However, it was perfect for our needs, would book it again if on this road trip again

We had a great time! It is a great spot that is easily accessible from the freeway. The Tipi was comfortable and the outside area was nicely set up and private. We got the smores package and enjoyed sitting around the fire in the evening.

Not going to lie, this was the best bed I’ve slept in in months! But also, the property is great and the Hipcamp sites are set up so well and stocked with everything you could need from firewood to bug spray to water. The ambiance is great, the site was super cozy and the tipi was wonderful. Our dogs loved having space to roam off leash and we loved having a comfortable and cozy private place to stay the night and hang out and relax. 10/10 would recommend and 10/10 would go back!

Kids loved the tipis! Went mid October so it was a breezy evening, tipis was plenty warm (well, my 2 yr old crawled out of her bed and got cold, but once we put her back in she was fine). The site was stocked with wood, charcoal for the grill, bottled water, roasting sticks, and plenty of seating. The views were actually quite decent. It's not an isolated spot, but still private. We bought extra wood from a gas station (I like spacing out by the fire) and it took all of 30 minutes round trip. All in all, kids loved it, it was clean and the beds were comfy, I would absolutely recommend.

We had a quick stop over on a very long drive and this was the perfect place to relax with everything we need! Really crafty despite no water hookups, we loved the little washing basin. Very comfy bed and linens and we appreciated everything that was provided, they really make sure you’re all set!

If you don't stop through here, you are missing out! The tipi was SO comfy warm and safe even with gusty winds. Nestled between the freeway and the highway for the easiest access. There are horses and cows in the fields a few miles away, birds of prey and fields of flowers! so bring your binoculars, cause I know I did! Comfy chairs and beds, they left all the amenities you could need, bug spray, citronella candle, first aid kit even a deck of cards (which we loved, thank you for that) and more! Complimentary fire wood and our puppies thought it was the bees knees as well. The Porta-potty was so clean and smelled so good, honestly didn't know that existed, 🤣 but it does here! About 15min away is the most beautiful fishing spot I've ever found, right on the Payette River.
If you get a chance to meet the hosts, they are an amazing bunch and are there to help if you need it, truly! And quick responders to boot! You can tell how much work and pride went into not only their tipis, but the land itself all around you! It is weekends and days like these, that make me so proud to be from Idaho, with amazing people there to lend a hand or a kindness! Thank you so much guys, i think hospitality may be in your veins!

My friend and I were looking for a place to stay one night after a concert and this was the perfect option! Neither of us wanted to pitch a tent, especially with temps being expected to be in the 40s that night, so I booked a stay here. The tipi was such a cute setup! Having multiple beds was great and there were plenty of blankets in the tipi. There was also a propane heater in case we got cold but that didn't happen. The host was nice enough to leave a set up with waters, stuff for coffee, and to have a little fire. It was a unique stay that I would recommend to others.

I'm so glad Abby had this property available. It reminded me of camping with my dad. Even the teepee. Beautiful sunset (and sunrise) and I'm sure the stars are amazing when there isn't wildfire smoke. Lots of amenities provided in case you forgot. Great directions and prompt to respond to questions.

The tipi (always thought it was spelled teepee) was spacious for one. I enjoyed a wakeup call from a magpie atop the tent poles.

This was one of the BEST (if not the absolute best) Hipcamp experience I’ve ever had! My boyfriend and I were passing through Idaho on our way back to our home state, and decided to make a night out of it at Tawa Tipis. When we arrived, I discovered that my boyfriend had taken advantage of the cute little romance package, so there was an absolutely stunning bouquet of flowers and some sparkling grape juice waiting for us in the tipi. Everything we could possibly need (bug spray, lighter fluid, charcoal, firewood, etc.) was provided for us at the site, and in the event that we needed something, the host was super responsive. We also brought our dog Kona, who had an absolute blast running around the property; when the host says they are dog friendly, they truly mean it!
In addition to the amazing hospitality, the property was absolutely gorgeous. We got the chance to walk through the flower field and build some bouquets of our own while watching the sunset. We also stopped by the little gift shop adjacent to the flower field and I purchased an assortment of cute homemade items, including lavender honey, lavender bath products, and some handmade aprons. This was truly a magical experience, we both cannot recommend this place enough and haven’t stopped talking about how much fun we had since we left this morning. We will be (and have already started) recommending this place to friends.

This delightful little campsite felt wonderful after a very long day on the road. Hosts thought of everything and the porta potties were the cleanest I’d ever stepped foot in! I would definitely return again.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights and it was absolutely amazing! It was very quiet. The tipi itself was super cozy. Abby is an amazing host. She provided bottles of water and a can of bug spray plus a few other essentials which was extremely helpful since my husband and I flew in! I especially loved the hammock. This experience was so peaceful and much needed. I 100% recommend staying at Tawa Tipis.
