Drive with caution
Harmony was very nice in accommodating us with an complimentary upgrade to the Yurt for better warmth. Due to the storm, the road conditions getting down to the site were rather dangerous for any guest and I had a 4x4 while stuck in the mud which caused us to be stranded overnight and blocking the road to public access. We felt terrible. All we would advise is for the camp to be closed during the rainy season as the dirt road could be muddy and steep with a few sharp switch backs. Other than that its a beautiful place. Also there could be loud music in the nearby community which we were accused of. That didn't sit well with us as we were preserving power since we were stuck in a torrential downpour. Overall experience disappointing for fiances Birthday gift excursion.

Fantastic Tipi and hot tub!!!
We love this place!!! Our 4WD Honda Element handled the rough terrain very well. Following the Hipcamp sign made it easy to find the parking lot where there were wheel barrels to help us carry all our stuff to you to our site. There were 2 clean porta-potties before you get to the campsites. We booked the Teepee which was super nice and comfortable. The Queen size bed was big enough for my husband and I and our 6year old boy. The nights got cold in November but there were plenty of blankets to keep us warm. The kitchen had cups, cutleries, a pot and a gas stove and potable water faucet but we used the common area to grill our food. We had a really nice gas fire ring for our campfire which was much more convenient. There was a hook up for a hammock if you bring your own. We booked the wood fire hot tub for our sons 6th Birthday which definitely was a highlight for us. We soaked for several hrs just relaxing and listening to the trees swaying in the wind and watching the stars. Although we didn't get to go all the way to the waterfalls, we loved hiking around the creek and half way to the water falls, my little boy loved jumping from boulder to boulder taking in the adventure. Our son wanted to finish the hike to the waterfalls but we needed to get back because we were cutting it close to check out time. There were other people there but we still felt secluded surrounded by trees. This place was the perfect little adventure place for our family. We highly recommend it.

Glamping Life!
More like Harmony’s Haven! We packed everything we would need for camping, but it was all there- towels, shampoos, soap, pans, paper towels, etc etc! We hiked to the waterfall twice as it is so beautiful! It’s a brisk 30 minute scramble to the falls, pack your lunch and stay awhile. Enjoy the the hammock, take a dip, or enjoy the Cantina set up next to the falls. It’s amazing! The whole campground and experience is unique, well thought out, private, very very special!! We loved it so much and will be back!

Cute but be warned
Glamping might be a stretch for this cute, remote-but-close-to-things spot. The road in is extremely dangerous and should not be driven without 4 wheel drive and very high suspension. Teslas absolutely should not be driving it** our new model s could not safely make it all the way down with an experienced mountain/snow driver. We had to hike in with a two year old, 10 year old, and too much gear straight downhill (which meant uphill on the way back - we did ultimately get down on the second day but our car was not happy and we would not do it again). The host is super sweet and said to just text with any needs - but there’s zero reception so we couldn’t ask for help upon arrival. The site is beautifully rustic with a lovely creek and sweet little hangout areas - but this is much more camping than Glamping. Towels were provided and some of the necessities were there - but the dome provided very little shelter from the cold. The second night the host came down to setup the hot tub and offered to have us move to the yurt for comfort (which we did!) and it was a bit better! The hot tub is super charming. For those who love camping pretty remotely this is a great spot but be warned about the drive in and do not attempt at night for sure. For glampers who may not have as much experience/gear this is likely not the best, but it does provide exceptional remoteness just 20 minutes from excellent coffee and pastries and a Whole Foods 😂

Camping with a toddler and pups
We had an amazing time camping in Hermit Dome #4. The whole set up is great, with a nice big communal area that has lots of space for cooking, relaxing, hanging, and playing games. We spent a lot of our time in the communal area where my toddler son was obsessed with the tire swing. The campsite was well stocked with cooking utensils and lots of propane for cooking and the fire pit. The Dome was cute, cozy, and set up overlooking a stream. It was nice being able to hear the babbling water as we slept. The hike to the waterfall was well-marked and beautiful. The dogs had a great time as well. There was no one else camping while we were there so we had the place to ourselves, which was so nice. There was a coiled up snake nestled in the rocks pretty close to our camp the first 2 days, but we just left it alone and it eventually moved along. The only other downside was the portable water heater for the shower at our campsite was not working. The dirt road down to the campground is a definitely a little steep and could be challenging if you do not have a high clearance vehicle. Overall, we really enjoyed our 3 nights of camping and felt well taken care of by Harmony! Not having to set up a tent, bedding and cooking station was a nice treat and worth the money! The green wagons to carry gear back and forth was a nice touch as well. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing weekend in the yurt!
We loved everything about this property. One of the most amazing weekends ever! The magical hike to the waterfall, the hot tub, outdoor cooking and hanging in the communal area. Absolutely incredible experience. The yurt was clean, well equipped and we loved the outdoor bath/shower. No cell service was so relaxing. Definitely come during the day. We got in pretty late and wished we would have been able to see where we were to get our bearings. The road was kind of sketchy but we did fine in our VW golf with all wheel drive. We will be back!

Amazing spot!
Harmony’s Glamping is such a cool spot. Right by a creek, secluded and tucked in the Chumash but close to civilization and beaches for a day trip (only 15-20 min!). They have everything you could need, and everything with a truly rugged and authentic feel…hot water showers, propane fire pit (perfect especially when it’s too dry to be able to start your own), twinkle lights, dope little communal area! They even had big spray and towels, anything you could think you might need, they had. The hike to the waterfall was absolutely perfect, maybe 30 minutes through small water crossings to our own little hammocked watering hole. It was our first time camping with a little one (3 year old), and she had an absolute blast. Great for families, couples, big groups…you name it. Absolutely perfect!!!

Great Swimming Hole & Camp!
Harmony is a great host and the property is as described. I stayed at the Luxury Yurt and it was in great condition and had everything needed. The photos do not do the swimming hole justice. I would rate it a 7 out of 10 for swimming holes in all of CA. It has a little beach, some trees for protection, and a beautiful deep pool you can swim in at any time or years since the spring flows continually. For sure this is one of the best if not the best in the Santa Barbara area. It is a fairly easy hike and the trail is well marked with yellow markers making it much easier to negotiate the gorge. There are a few small river crossing so I recommend you wear water shoes. The road down into the canyon is as other describe. Plan to make the trip once and bring all your food with you. I made the mistake of thinking I could make the trip into town multiple times and this is not a good idea. The road is the biggest challenge for this location. I've been on worse by far. However, you are going to need good clearance and some power to get through a few spots. Also, the road is a one lane road with very limited pull outs. It's similar to many kayak roads to swimming holes. There are no large pot holes or soft spots. However, keep in mind that you may be camping with 3 or more other campers who have not been on this road before and that provides for some concerns since there are some spots that you will have to back up a long way if folks are coming in and leaving at wrong times.

Canyon + creek camping
The campsite was good fun; enough chairs for our family of three plus a hammock. The dome was comfortable, and the outdoor kitchen had what we needed. Hot tub was fun. Hiking along the creek also fun! The road to get down the canyon to the sites is mostly a single dirt road that is fairly steep. We were glad to be driving it in an AWD Subaru. Recommend!

Super dreamy site. Glamping at its best. It was so peaceful falling asleep in a comfortable bed, breathing the fresh air, and listening to the creek. I loved how when I was in bed, the view felt like we were way up in the trees, without having to actually climb up to a treehouse. We enjoyed swimming in the super clear creek, hanging out in the common area, and swinging on the tire swing. Take the warning about the road seriously. Driving in everything looked dry, although there were views of the pacific ocean that were lovely. But when we got to the site, it was cooler and very green, even in late summer.

I absolutely loved this campsite and glamping set up! Harmony is a doll and everything is already set up and prepped for you - including bath towels, magical hot outdoor shower, all cooking supplies, grill, wood fired hot tub, comfy mattress and sheets and lights, gas fire pit and lanterns to make it cozy! The place has a Native American spirituality you can feel when you step on the property and the waterfall hike is idyllic. Couldn’t recommend enough! Will definitely be back soon!

An Enchanted World
By far the best and most memorable experience for people seeking to disconnect into nature, off-grid, simple and minimal lifestyle. You can feel how special the land is, well-taken care of and honored it is. Daily walks to the waterfalls thru the most magical trail is a hidden gem. Nothing else like this in the SoCal area. We will be back for frequent visits ✨

Absolutely magical place to stay
Still beaming from my amazing time glamping at Harmony’s last week! I came alone just me and my dog and we stayed in the creekside dome for 2 nights. It was incredibly peaceful and had everything we needed to feel comfortable. There were extra blankets and towels, a pot and pan for cooking, some utensils and even a French press. I spent my time cooking meals, relaxing in the hammock reading my book, and of course doing to hike to the waterfall where I stayed swimming and laying out in the sun for hours. I posted some pictures on my IG and about 20 people asked me where the spot was, I almost didn’t want to tell them bc I want to be able to book again soon 😂 all in all my stay was great and I will definitely be returning. Harmony was an amazing host, super friendly and thoughtful and she’s done such a great job with the place. And her dog Pipi was really cute and came by to visit every now and then to say hi to my dog. The one thing I was worried about was the drive down to the site on the dirt road, but I was fine. I have a sedan (Honda Accord) and it made it. 10/10 experience!!

I don’t typically write bad reviews but there were a few things that we didn’t expect. The hiking trail isn’t outlined and there’s no guide or information about it. The other campers here couldn’t find the waterfall either. The sign says it’s 45 mins but the host said it was 30 mins so it was a bit conflicting. The trail is also overflowing with poison oak. We eventually made it but the trail isn’t maintained and I wouldn’t recommended for children. The dome is nice, but dirty on the outside so you can’t see through it that well. The rest of the campsite amenities are dirty and not well maintained. There are a lot of big black spiders in the chairs so we couldn’t use any of them to sit and relax. The hot tub is an $85 add on, but it’s in a communal area. The shower is in plain sight from all angles. You are naked in front of all, but they provide poison oak soap. Also bring your own kitchen supplies if you plan to cook. Overall, not great but we did have fun in the area

Magical wooded camping
We stayed in the yurt for four nights and had a fantastic experience. The bed is very comfortable and there was plenty of room on the floor for our son to sleep in a sleeping bag. Lots of cozy touches, a shower In the woods that you won’t forget (it’s so magical), The wood-fired hot tub is a great add-on. It sits stream side, and is made from an old ocean buoy. The whole spot has several sites which are spread out with privacy and a sense of wilderness all around. The drive down to the bottom of the hill is thrilling and a little nerve-racking if you’re not used to a twisting and turning rugged mountain side road. Bring your four-wheel-drive. Harmony is a lovely post who clearly cares about making people feel comfortable. This is a special and even unforgettable stay. One of the best things about this place is that you can drive to Santa Barbara in 15 minutes, so you really get the best of wildernes, beach and town all in one.

We loved the stay at Harmony's Glamping! The dome site was perfect for us (2 adults and 2 dogs). I appreciated that our personal site had a personal kitchen area equipped with a propane camping stove, sink and counter area. The private shower on our personal site was awesome! Harmony was responsive and helpful and we would love to return.
