These sites are private, peaceful, and surrounded by natural terrainā€”perfect for guests who want an authentic outback experience. Access is via a gravel/dirt road suitable for semi-off-road caravans, off-road vans, camper trailers, and 4WDs. Low-clearance caravans are not suitable. The river camps are unpowered and unfenced, with open space, wildlife, and the sound of water flowing past. There are no built facilities at the river, so guests must be self-contained or use the homestead amenities. Please let us know if you require access to these facilities. Please phone or text when you arrive so we can help you navigate the gates, horses, and parking safely. šŸ”„ Fire Pit Use Sensible, contained fire pits are welcome. Please check with us before lighting any fire, as local fire bans and weather conditions can change quickly. Access is just off the highway, suitable for low clearance caravans. Campsites are unpowered with open space, but enclosed with stock fencing. Close enough to the highway but far enough away from traffic to hear the sound of nature. There are limited toilet/shower facilities. šŸšæ Homestead Facilities A hot shower and flushing toilet are available at the homestead for guest use. Perfect riverside bush camp

What an amazing camp! Joe met us at the gate and guided us down to our private riverside site. Easy access in with our 21.6ft van. Flat site meant we could stay hitched. Good solar for the van but plenty of shady spots to pull up a chair and watch the kids playing. Fishing and swimming in the river kept the kids entertained all afternoon. Free firewood and the use of kayaks was very much appreciated. Horse riding is available here by arrangement. If we had another night we would have loved to do this. Definitely a perfect place to rest and enjoy a bush camp!

What an amazing property with even better hosts! Penny and Joe were amazing with a special thank you to Joe who took us to the riverside spot that needs to be seen to be believed! There was a great amount of room right next to the river with so much for the kids to explore! We were so sad to leave but weā€™ll definitely be back.

We had an amazing bush camp on the banks of the Comet River. A farm track of about 1km was easy. Penny and Joe were delightful hosts. Well done Penny and Joe!

Wow wee!!! What a special place this is. Camping overlooking the river with total privacy. Plenty of firewood to be used. We only stayed one night, but would have loved to stay longer. Penny and her husband showed us the way to the exclusive camping spot. If you have high clearance then not a problem and well worth the track in. Will definitely stay here again if we are in the area.
