Amazing views
Hipcampers say this spot has amazing views.
64 Hectares surrounded by National Park. *There are no showers but there is a compost toilet available.* A perfect spot to stay over for the Mt. Maroon climb. The local area has a tourism focus with plenty of opportunities to explore the Scenic Rim. Lake Moogara and Maroon Dam are not far away for jet skis, kayaking and swimming. If you are not up for Mt Maroon climb which could take up to 3 hours, there is always walks around the area that are less challenging. We are family friendly and easy terrain to set up for first time campers. Wake up to beautiful views and serenity. Sorry, no dogs are allowed as we have koalas and we are surrounded by National Parks Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place. Check on the day, it is usually fine to cook with contained cookers during a fire ban. BYO gas BBQ. Please note that there are no showers or potable (drinkable) water on our property, you will need to bring your own. Bring what you need and take it away. Leave no trace.

Awesome location. I setup looking directly at Mt Maroon. Owners were extremely nice as well, had a good chat. High recommend if you are wanting to hike Mt Maroon for sunrise.

We had a great stay at Kingsland campsite and I would highly recommend it! The main camping area is spacious and well-maintained and has beautiful views of Mount Maroon and the surrounding area. There were only three other campers when we were there so we had a good-sized area to ourselves. There are four fire pits dotted around the site which meant that each campsite had their own, and there was firewood available. The main camping area is a five-minute walk to the trailhead for the Mount Maroon hike which was very convenient. Would definitely stay again!

Amazing site with incredible views!
I spent two days and nights at this site. The site was clean and well spaced out. There was some absolutely incredible views and I saw a large variety of animals ranging from a family of quails to large goannas. You absolutely hear koalas calling during the night, unfortunately I wasn't able to see any on my many walks I took around the site. Sites are well marked and easy to follow. There was some more walking tracks that I didn't get to explore this time but I plan on returning to see everything. Fair dinkum hosts who clearly love their land. 10/10 would recommend.
