Heart of the Country
11 sites · RVs, Tents12 acres · Bay Minette, ALHeart of the Country is our home and also your own personal twelve acre state park whenever you stay with us! We are less than 15 minutes from Interstate 10 and from Interstate 65. I offer a half-dozen campsites, all either on a relatively level paved driveway or grass. Power (20 amp and 30 amp) and water is available. We only have one 30 amp campsite, which is first come, first served. WIFI is available! (please ask for password). This is a Longleaf Pine sanctuary with lots of nature trails. This is also a hobby farm with livestock (Donkey, Pony, two Goats, two Ducks and a flock of Chickens). I feed the livestock grain every morning usually between 8 and 9 am, and again hay before dusk. You are always welcome to join me and I'll introduce all of them to you! My dog, Homer, is our very friendly welcoming ambassador who will enthusiastically great you upon your arrival. I put him up in his kennel each evening around dusk, then lock him in his shed until morning which keeps him from backing during the night. We also host an AirBnB, so other guests may be here as well. Texting via the app is our preferred mode of communication. If you call, please leave a message and I will call you back. Suggested local attraction: Blakeley State Historic Park is four miles away.

Choccolocco Creek Campground
7 sites · RVs, Tents35 acres · Eastaboga, ALBelonged to my Wife’s Family as an operating Chicken Farm with Tyson foods (before that it was Spring Valley Research Farm- a early experimental chicken farm and feed mill to develop best way to raise Chickens ) when my wife inherited I decided to try to make something of the place instead of selling so I retired early and went to work cleaning up this mess ( aerial photos still show the partially tore down old chicken houses ) I still have a lot of cleanup left but the majority is done - I did all the work myself and love the shower houses I built from the old feed bins from the old Chicken farm - I’m betting you will too. I think it is a exceptionally Unique, functional and private shower house . The view is nice and peaceful from on top of the hill - a highlite is the sunrise and sunset views as well as stargazing - several people wanted the property to build a home there for the great views but I decided to not sell - you could almost see the Talladega Racetrack if the Trees were out of the way. The Sites I built are all Sites that I would want to camp at.
