Yarrawin is 680 acre cattle farm and hardwood timber plantation in the heart of the Nambucca Valley, offering scenic, secluded, private campsites with their own swimming hole and a river gravel beach on 3km of beautiful double river frontage.
Camping options include riverside camps, the Shack and riverside camp and a large secluded valley. Each campsite is separate from the others, giving guests privacy and exclusive use of the swimming hole (except Chinamans Valley) at their site. All riverside sites offer a natural gravel beach entry into the water.
There are no amenities here, campers will need to be self contained and leave no trace. Every site has a fire pit which must be used for campfires. If you want to use your own it must be off the ground.
Only sand mats or similar, NO TARPS, to be set up on the grassed areas to preserve the grass.
Firewood $20/night (CASH ONLY PLEASE). Please let us know in advance if you want firewood.
Beautiful drinking rain water is available in a 20lt Jerry can if required on arrival.
Bird lovers can enjoy watching the various bird varieties, as well as ducks. Animals include wallabies, goannas, deer and fish as well as cattle and stock horses. Fishing is okay but it is STRICTLY catch and release ONLY.
There are many places to go bushwalking, either following the river or heading up the valleys or hiking up the hills through the trees.
The property is just 10kms from the convenience of Bowraville, a historic township with a supermarket, folk museum, a war museum, a historic theatre, and other historic buildings. Nambucca Heads and the beautiful surrounding beaches are just 27kms east and Coffs Harbour 80kms away.
Please note this is a working farm, so there will be cattle and stock horses on the property that may approach your campsite.

With 1.5km of creek frontage, you can explore away, fish in the waterhole for freshwater catfish or go for a walk along one of the valleys. Situated on 650 acres in hill country. Mill Flat (the location of the steam mill that was built when the property was a logging property) is located on around 3 acres of mostly flat grass land with direct access to our creek. Nearby, Fruit Orchard Hill is the location of the original home before the fires, the outlook from here is of the sheer mountain range of the neighbouring National Park. This camping area is elevated.Our third site is not so private but is the most central and conveniently located for exploring the creek and gaining access with big campervans. If staying longer you can go for a white water kayak in the Nymboida River only 15 min away or head the other way to discover endless National Parks that stretch from the property to Dorrigo.We welcome self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower and water. You must have your own amenities.Well behaved dogs are most welcome to join you. Although we are pet friendly, please be aware and courteous to other campers. What a slice of heaven!
We came on a cloudy couple of days but it still did not disappoint.
Our daughter and dog had so much land to run around on and he creek was magnificent!! Yes there is a bit of muck in the water but who cares!? It was still Crystal clear and warm.
We had a visit off the hosts puppy who was adorable anda brief interaction with the host who was super friendly and respectful.
Couldn’t fault a thing!!!
It required three river crossings and a small but steep Hill to get to the campsite. We are no way experienced caravans but we managed all obstacles fine. No need for putting down tyre pressure or using recovery gear.

Fast becoming one of our favourite spots to camp. Sammy is a great host, friendly and welcoming. We appreciated the freshly mowed, massive campsite. The swimming, bird watching and star gazing are a great way to switch off for a few days and just relax. Thanks Sammy. We will hopefully be back!

Absolutely perfect spot. Totally pristine. Beautiful pasture to camp on. No bindi's no prickles so spent most of the time barefoot which is how camping should be!!
Great little shack available to cook, relax and play cards in, or just to talk and be really comfy. Dogs had a ball swimming in the river, I love that they are allowed off lead. Perfect for a very busy Australia Day long weekend as we felt like we were the only guests there. Can't wait to visit again.

Our family had the absolute best time. The grass was cut, no animal poop, fire set up ready (we bought wood), creek was sensational - we saw a platypus and a turtle. So much space in the camping area so our 2 & 4 year old could run around. Cows and horses came and visit us - our little one was able to pat a friendly horse. Owners are both so nice and had some yummy brownies for us on arrival. There is not one thing I can say as a negative about this campsite. We will 100% be back!!

Great spot along the creek with good views and a nice shallow swimming hole for the kids. Site was nice and level with quality firewood and fire pit provided. The kids loved seeing the horses roaming around the paddock. The site felt private and was great to kick back and relax over the long weekend. Hosts were laidback and friendly providing a stress free experience. Would definitely recommend a stay at Yarrawin camping. Oh and brownies were delicious! Cheers.

We had a great time. The place was simple, but nicely in nature and very private. Is was very close to the road which made the place great for traveling on. The gate was a bit hard to find, but the owner responded quickly and helped us very friendly. I would stay here again when it would be one the route. I would not spend more then one night though.

Absolute stunning place to camp.The weather wasn't the best but hey thats part of camping. Hosts Ian and Bobbie were awesome and, as so many previous campers have confessed the home made brownies that Bobbie made for us were beautiful.
Definitely be back and Definitely recommend it.
