Think of The Good Life as a safe, private slice of bush that feels like the middle of nowhere, because it pretty much is. You’ll need to be fully self-contained and take everything you bring in back out with you. Leave only footprints and good memories. What you do with your time is entirely up to you. Park yourself in a camp chair with a book, wander the farm, or lace up your boots and explore around 70 acres of bush tracks. Yarrawin is 680 acre cattle farm and hardwood timber plantation in the heart of the Nambucca Valley, offering scenic, secluded, private campsites with their own swimming hole and a river gravel beach on 3km of beautiful double river frontage. Camping options include riverside camps, the Shack and riverside camp and a large secluded valley. Each campsite is separate from the others, giving guests privacy and exclusive use of the swimming hole (except Chinamans Valley) at their site. All riverside sites offer a natural gravel beach entry into the water. There are no amenities here, campers will need to be self contained and leave no trace. Every site has a fire pit which must be used for campfires. If you want to use your own it must be off the ground. Only sand mats or similar, NO TARPS, to be set up on the grassed areas to preserve the grass. Firewood $20/night (CASH ONLY PLEASE). Please let us know in advance if you want firewood. Beautiful drinking rain water is available in a 20lt Jerry can if required on arrival. Bird lovers can enjoy watching the various bird varieties, as well as ducks. Animals include wallabies, goannas, deer and fish as well as cattle and stock horses. Fishing is okay but it is STRICTLY catch and release ONLY. There are many places to go bushwalking, either following the river or heading up the valleys or hiking up the hills through the trees. The property is just 10kms from the convenience of Bowraville, a historic township with a supermarket, folk museum, a war museum, a historic theatre, and other historic buildings. Nambucca Heads and the beautiful surrounding beaches are just 27kms east and Coffs Harbour 80kms away. Please note this is a working farm, so there will be cattle and stock horses on the property that may approach your campsite.

The allocated camping area is 500 metres inside the front gate, located in-front of our front dam. The House is located 1km from the front gate. This camping area is elevated.Our third site is not so private but is the most central and conveniently located for exploring the creek and gaining access with big campervans. If staying longer you can go for a white water kayak in the Nymboida River only 15 min away or head the other way to discover endless National Parks that stretch from the property to Dorrigo.We welcome self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower and water. You must have your own amenities.Well behaved dogs are most welcome to join you. Although we are pet friendly, please be aware and courteous to other campers. If your pet needs to be tied up please do so.We recommend 4WDs to access the campsite. Some places can be accessed by 2WD and walk to campsite. Kanimbla is just minutes off the Pacific Highway, almost exactly half way between Sydney and Brisbane so it is a perfect stopping point! Bordered on 2 sides by Eungai Creek, it has an abundance of wildlife, especially birds, and is a short distance from the coastal estuaries of the Nambucca and Macleay Rivers for swimming, boating and fishing, or the surf break at Scott's Head. There are many forest tracks close by for walking, biking and 4WD-ing, and the nearby towns provide fuel, food and more! We have 2 comfortable grassed sites suitable for tents up to small motorhomes. We have many farm animals to see, including Belted Galloway cattle and sheep.

The cozy off-grid cabin (solar powered) & A-Frame Huts (unpowered) nestled on Nunguu Mountain, offers a space to unwind and slow down. The rainforest views are captivating and can keep you peacefully entertained watching the bird life fly by for hours. The cabin offers a 2 x bedroom living quarters, that can sleep up to 6 people in total, as well as the main kitchen, living room area and outdoor undercover dining space. The outdoor shower is surrounded by heliconia plants, a forest lovers dream. The unpowered A-frames are suited for 2 x single or a couple- short walk up the mountain, with a shared outside bathroom "loo with a view" and rock shelf shower. A 10 minute drive from Valla Beach, 30 minutes to Bellingen and Coffs Harbour a beautiful place to stay and go out for day missions. Although completely seperate and private, this beautiful Cabin and Aframes, share the property with the ‘Main House’ living quarters about 150 meters away.

Travellers rest was great! Plenty of room in the paddock for campers. Lovely bathroom and a little sink available. There were frogs in the sink! There was an extra toilet if the shower was being used. A lovely family camping in a van used the pill to cool off. Really peaceful and Katie was lovely. Recommend.

Katie's campsite was very clean and quiet, had a beautiful view, and Katie and her husband were very hospitable and friendly. They also had two dogs who were very kind, calm, and friendly, and gave us a lot of love. Beautiful place to camp! Awesome quiet camp spot, close to the river. Great facilities including composting toilets and fantastic hot shower! The campsite had everything we needed to be so comfortable. Lots of wildlife to enjoy, walks through the property and the river was perfect for swimming, relaxing, exploring and canoeing. Alastair and Merryl are wonderful hosts- thoughtful in so many ways. We loved our stay- thank you!

The hosts were extremely friendly and hospitable, they recommended site 6 to us and we were absolutely glad they did. It was very private and just an amazing place to stay. Our dog was able to run around freely without any distractions as the site is very private and away from all other sites. Nana Glen is a beautiful place, it has a very quiet country town feel, there are so many great water holes to explore and some great 4WD spots. It’s only a short 30min drive to Coffs Harbour for major shops and 30 mins gets you to many different amazing beaches. We would absolutely stay there again and are already thinking about our next trip. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for an amazing camping place.

We booked this site on incredibly short notice and have absolutely no regrets. The moment we showed up we were greeted with big smiles and fresh eggs! We were so shocked considering we gave them only 30 minutes notice of our arrival. Our site had just been taken by someone else, but Ro directed us down to a site next to a little stream and pond. It was just what we needed for a few nights to get some washing done and have some downtime. The Firepit was excellent and there was already a heap of firewood for us to use. We had a heap of fun trying to catch yabbies and identify frogs. The hosts were so lovely, and even checked if the nearby mowing was too annoying for us. We felt so welcomed here and are excited to come back and see all the amazing things they have planned for this camp.
