Hidden Hill Family Campground has been hosting RV and tent campers in Michigan since 1979. Although considered a small campground compared with most of its surrounding competitors in Clare County, it’s a true nature’s gem. This beautiful, quaint, country campground is a peaceful, wooded haven that's conveniently located off US Rt 127. It offers the following features: 44 RV sites, most of which have full sewage and water hookups, and metered 50/30/20 electric. 6 of these RV sites are pull through sites with big rig capacity. 9 primitive sites with no water or electric and 2 primitive sites with electric only. Each site has a sturdy picnic table and fire ring. We have a building complex with a small camp store, laundry facilities, and large clean restrooms with hot showers. We also have a 36’ x 64’ enclosed pavilion for events, rainy day activities, or as a rental for special occasions. (with a kitchen area, dance floor, and a theater and surround sound system). Shuffleboard, bocce ball, volleyball, basket ball, tether ball and horseshoes. We have a playground with exciting and exclusive attractions for kid including a 57’ x 33’ Kangaroo jumping pad and 85’ slip-n-slide, and a kids friendly zipline. We have a series of manicured hiking/biking trails on 28 wooded acres, “Hey” rides on Saturdays, fantastic free WiFi service is available and excellent cell phone service. Because of the RV parks smaller size, we have more time to directly connect with our camping customers to give them more personalized attention and added service, which is something everyone truly values, especially in the outdoor hospitality industry. This is also something that gives us a competitive edge over our much busier, louder, more impersonal, campground competitors. Hidden Hill will be a great place for any family who wants a more stress-free, intimate camping experience or couple who just want to relax over the weekend. Our campground operates 24 hours seasonally from April 15th - October 15th. Check-in time is between 2 and 10 pm and check-out time is at noon.

No playground equipment but one of the best RV sites in Michigan (that I have found). The Quanicassee River is one of the cleanest rivers in our area. Lots of boats go out and in by the dock. Awesome camping spot with a view of a walk bridge over a pond. We were greeted by a couple goats when we arrived. Many goats, chickens, rabbits and birds on the property to see. Lots of walk paths to explore. Nice walkway from campsite to a fire pit, grill, covered picnic area and little building with a compost toilet and sink inside. There are kayaks, canoes and a paddle boat to use on the little river. Kim is a fantastic person and a great host. We will definitely be back.

We loved camping on Kim’s land! It was quiet and peaceful. We got a chance to feed one of the baby goats and it followed us all around the property which was so much fun! The site has a really nice area for a fire and a covered picnic table. The whole area is on wood chips so you don’t get quite as dirty which was really nice. We took some short walks on the property, did a little fishing, took the kayaks out, etc… Definitely recommend!!!

This is a very nice lot with electric sewage and water. Front yard has many trees and a fire pit. Duck Lake and dock directly across road for easy access. We were there for only 2 nights and didn’t bring kayaks but next time for sure!! Hostess Jennifer very accommodating and it was a peaceful and quiet stay.

Kevin really made our last day special with the open-air movie night! He’s truly a great host. Weekend Trip to "Elysium Heritage Farm"
We had a wonderful time at Elysian. After a long, holiday traffic-filled drive, we were warmly greeted by Kim—and by a blazing campfire already waiting for us! Farm Camp is perfect. We’re used to State Park camping, so our site felt downright luxurious: a charming outdoor kitchen with wash water provided, a clean bathroom with a composting toilet, a gorgeous dining area, and a lovely fire pit with a cook grate, plenty of dry firewood, and a clear view of the stars. Every night felt magical, and we were blessed with picture-perfect, clear weather. Garfield the cat snuggled with us by the fire each evening. By day, we were serenaded with lush birdsong and even caught glimpses of the elusive green heron—a dream for any bird-lover. One morning, after a quick trip into town for fresh cheese and sausages, we cooked up a delicious breakfast with a couple of eggs from the chicken coop. Kim is a gifted host. Her hospitality struck the perfect balance between presence and privacy: whenever we had a question or needed fresh water, she (and her delightful entourage of dogs, hens, goats, and geese) seemed to appear as if by magic. There’s so much more we could say, but really, all you need to know is this: book your stay and prepare for a truly gracious experience. We’ll be back!

Campsites are all riverfront along the Tobacco River. Country feel within blocks of town. Ross Lake/Beach, the remodeled Beaverton Tavern, park, an ice cream shop and splash park are all located within a long walk or short drive. We are close to Gladwin, Ross Lake, OHV trails and the Juicy Bone. The river flows into Wixom Lake which is anticipated to be back in 2025. Sandy beach with river access . You can access the river from our canoe portage on the property. Good fishing, swimming or just hanging out. You can also canoe, kayak or tube beautiful Tobacco River or sandy Cedar River. Picnic tables and fire pits are located throughout the property. Good music, games, sing a longs. Hike through the trails to get to the the enchanted cedar forest which is all located in the campground. "Elysium Heritage Farm" is situated on 120 acres in Northeast, MI surrounded by woods, trails, ponds and canals. Enjoy access to a small farm that includes fainting goats, chickens, turkeys, rabbits, and more. Bring your pole and try your luck at some catch and release fishing. My wife and I are slowly starting up our own little farm. We have 2 indoor cats, 1 outdoor cat, a dog, chickens and two ducks. We are on 34 acres and have a river that runs through the middle of it. We are 10 minutes from Alma and 20 minutes from Mt Pleasant. Lumberjack park is about 2 minutes away and Stearns preserve is about 5 mins away where you can walk or ride bike on a nice paved trail. We have a small garden that we plant every summer and plan to start a small farm stand this year. We are in a quiet area with lots of wildlife. We have 1 spot near the house with a view of the river that can support electric hook for a smaller RV and can attach a garden hose for water if needed. We do have a “field” that RVs can use but there is no hook up and there ground may not be level. We have many options for rustic tent camping along the river. No public restroom available. We can also provide some fire wood for campfires for a small cost. Along the river fires are allowed but must be contained in a fire ring. If camping by the field fires will be dependent on conditions. We have 3 kayaks and a canoe that can be used with prior consent. There is a park up river where you can put in and then can exit at our house which is about an hour on the river. We are very new to this and just purchased a UTV so we will be able to start making trails and clearing areas. But for now, camping along the river you will have to walk (and carry belongings) through tall grass to the site you desire. Quiet time 11 pm. We are an easy going couple that just want to share this slice of paradise with others! WiFi available

Our most recent improvement is an air conditioner in the Crow's Nest. Sheila grew up just across the road and spent many hours riding her horse and writing poetry on the property. No discharge of firearms is allowed on this property. As a retired artist, we love to entertain creative peaceful people and many think of our place as a quiet sanctuary that encourages creativity. We provide games, both outdoor and indoor, a screen house, hammock, nature trails and a new camp store with local items and snacks. There is an Amish community close by and a tour map is provided. We are also close to the largest canopy walk in the US at Whiting Forest and Dow Gardens. Only 25 minutes away. There is a small water park in the closest town with a beach. Locally there is tubing and canoeing at the Cedar River in Gladwin and kayaking at Pinconning Park on Saginaw Bay.

Peaceful, gorgeous, wooded, and a quick jaunt to the village of Crystal, where there's a one-screen movie theatre screening first-run films on weekends, Ike's Ice Cream shop, two gas stations, two bars, restaurants, and a pizza joint. Blanchard's Grocery store is also located in Crystal, and Crystal Raceway is just a couple of miles away. Enjoy the peacefulness, or head to town for all of the action. The Crystal Public Beach area has just been newly revamped and is gorgeous and active with lots of boats on the weekend anchoring by the shore and live music in the park.

We are right down the road from Little Long lake and Budd Lake public boat launches. We have deeded lake access to Little Long Lake with use of our paddle boat and kayaks. We can provide parking with a boat, trailer, etc., but will need to be arranged prior to check-in. There are several restaurants, delivery options, and a grocery store right down the road. There is also a putt putt golf, skiing and snow tubing at Snow Snake, arcade, batting cages, bowling, indoor golf, ax throwing, beaches and Wilson State Park. If you have side-by-sides, quads, jeeps, snowmobiles, or dirt bikes, there are endless options with groomed trails in the area for you to ride all day long. We have two cabins, the Harrison Hideaway cabin and Wanderer's Hideaway that can be rented together for larger groups or rented separately. Please message me if you would like to rent both cabins for you and your guests. We are new to this process and want to make you and your guest feel accommodated with a 5 Star stay.

Extra vehicles, trailers, etc. can be parked in our gravel lot.  Ice and firewood available for sale on site.  The land borders 6000 acres of public wilderness including Martiny Chain of Lakes. Lots of hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, and river floating nearby.
