Amy was very sweet. The animals were great. The river was very enjoyable. We went for a mid week break and enjoyed fishing in the river and basking in the sun. It is a little difficult to get into the river from the campsite but there’s a section near the pavilion that is much easier.

Leslie and Shane’s property was so great that we ended up extending our stay while visiting. When we got there we were met at the gate and given a tour of the property then were told to pick whichever spot we wanted. All of the spots felt very safe and super private and he even offered to bring a porter potty to our sight if needed. The walk to the bathrooms and showers was no longer than 2-3 minutes. He also has a saloon for charging anything that he allowed us to keep our plug in cooler in while we went shopping. Every sight has its own fireplace and there are trails all over the property that lead to unique things. The structures throughout the property are amazing to look at. This place truly is amazing and I would recommend anyone in the area looking for a campground, to stay here! There is also a few dogs that are super friendly and for us who are currently away from our pups at home this was a great experience to befriend and get some cuddles in!

We loved the hidden nature of our stay. Driving through the hills and down long winding roads was a perfect welcome into the area. Sam and Sarah were very attentive and passionate about their land and the sites. We enjoyed the little red barn and were able to purchase a few dozen fresh eggs from the chickens on the farm. We would happily stay here again!

Our trip to Gypsy Moon was great! Me and my family of 5 camped at Fox Hollow and we enjoyed everything about our stay. We have 3 kids and the campsite was close to the river but not right on the water so we had some peace of mind. Amy was a very attentive host who would periodically check-in with us and made sure we were taken care of. My family enjoyed all of the different animals around the property, especially Sage the cat and the herds of goats that would randomly stroll through our campsite. The fresh duck eggs were a nice optional bonus to enjoy in the morning!
I’d say my only let down was the fact that the bait shop no longer existed as I’d have shopped for bait beforehand. Nonetheless Amy was open to helping us dig up some worms. She really was an amazing host.
My kids have already mentioned several times how they look forward to visiting Gypsy Moon again! See y'all soon!

I met Shane when I arrived..took me on a little tour. Very natural and rustic. The two dogs I met are very friendly and sweet. They come say hello and go on their merry way. It was just what I needed, quiet in the middle of a very quick paced community. Shane's a Rockstar. He even brought me a picnic table he and a friend had made. Made me feel like royalty. Thanks for everything Shane.

Great quick getaway! All the animals were so cute, Ms Amy was very welcoming. She helped us navigate to the proper entrance and led us to our campsite. We added on wood for our stay and she brought it over to us quickly. The bathrooms were a short walk from our site. We would definitely visit again.

We had a wonderful stay at Friends in RV Spaces, definitelyexcellent value for money. Even though we were travelling in a campervan without hookups, the site had everything we needed. The facilities were clean and well maintained, and the WiFi near the little red building was fast and reliable. After spending time in the big cities of Texas, it was such a refreshing change to relax in a peaceful, green space with dark night skies and true country quiet.
Sam greeted us on arrival and was very welcoming. He showed us around the farm and was interesting to chat with. If you’re looking for a safe, quiet, and friendly place to stay near Fort Worth, we’d highly recommend it.

amazing place! Let me boom last minute, animals here are beautiful, happy and very quiet, cleanest ranch ever been to, Angela is so incredibly kind, very responsive, Cabin I stayed in was fenced in, safe, clean, beautiful, spacious. on a road trip to big bend park w 3 pups, was not expecting so much hospitality but privacy if needed. I cannot thank her enough, hope to come back through ❤️

Loved it! The place is very welcoming and I loved how secluded each camp spot was. I really had my own space to do my own thing. They also have firewood! Only $10! I car camped and would’ve definitely preferred to bring a tent but I’ll save that for next time! I will most likely be back.

melissa’s spot is super cute and comfy, and she and family were very gracious and accommodating hosts despite us arriving late on xmas eve. we (2 people and an elderly dog) had everything we needed for some good rest, a campfire, and grilling a delicious dinner. melissa also had plenty of useful local tips, and WOW the breakfast sandwich was so good! would stay again 🤗

Had a wonderful last minute visit camping with my two dogs and cat. The location was easy to get to and on site directions were straightforward and accurate. Conveniently located about 30mins outside of Weatherford. Hosts were friendly and helpful. All the primitive sites were labeled and each has a picnic table and fire ring. Sites are spaced out similar to what you would see at a state park. We stayed at “the point” right on the river bank. It was beautiful and had access to the water. I saw another review about neighbors lights and dogs bark; I am going to assume they stayed in the same site as us because it’s the farthest back on Gypsy moon also making it the closest to the neighboring rv park. I did notice the lights but you could easily reposition to avoid them and the dogs barked when we first got there and were setting up but then settled. Neither bothered us nor are these things in control of the hosts. Shower and bathroom in good working condition. Lots of chickens, geese and goats out near the rvs but none wandered over to primitive camping. Didn’t go in or inquire about bait shop so nothing to review but did see firewood for sale. Overall very good value for the price and I will gladly return if I’m in the area again.
