This property is located at the base of Mount Richmond, just 15 minutes from Portland. Bridgwater lakes is just down the road. And Bridgwater bay about 10 km from camp. We have grassy site available with plenty of shade for self contained campers. We often have Kangaroos and Koalas along with plenty of other wildlife on the property so keep an eye out and make the most of a great wildlife watching opportunity. There are a number of water holes on the property the wildlife like to enjoy.The property borders a section of the Great South West Walk and you can easily get onto the track from here. This walk has some stunning scenery and is a great spot to enjoy this part of the coastline, all from a comfortable base back at camp.Campfires are permitted in the fire pit provided pending there is no restrictions in place. Pets are welcome but please clean up after them and ensure they respect the wildlife in the area. We look forward to welcoming you to Shaddy gums.

We are located 10/15 minutes off the A1 Princess HWY via Portland Rd or Codrington Bessiebelle Rd. 35 minutes from Port Fairy. Just off track if your on route to SA or VIC. Shower & toilet Bore water for washing up Flat grass Mowed flat area in front of machinery shed available for camping. We run of rain water so please respect water availability when using the shower and toilet. You must be self sufficient otherwise and leave with no trace left, thankyou. (No water & no bins) The shower & toilet is the original outhouse from the 50s, located within the deck of the house. It's not flash, but shower is hot & toilet is clean. We're happy to have doggos, but be aware of other campers, our free range chooks and any stock in the paddocks. Happy to allow little tackers with motorbikes upon discussion, subject to fire conditions and persons must take responsibility for any injury. Waiver must be signed. Heywood is 30 minutes which hosts Mt Eccles a beautiful spot to hike or ride, you'll find a IGA, a lovely pub meal, a skatepark and an outdoor pool. Tyrendarra you'll find the river where you can fish, use the boat ramp. Narrawong also has fishing & the beach. We are central to beautiful spots. Find caves at Byaduk and a gift store. Not far from Hamilton you'll find falls to wonder around. Portland has pick your own strawberries along with the tram to take a ride. Warrnambool you'll find the Breakwater, Hot Springs, Mini Golf, Tower Hill Reserve, Hopkins Falls. Please message if you have any enquiries about lengthy stays, or if we appear booked out.

A secluded get-away, Sea Mist is positioned at the end of The Great Ocean Road. Just a short walk from Logans Beach Whale Nursery and the picturesque Hopkins River. Close to enjoy a variety of water activites swimming, fishing, kayaking, surfing. Logans Beach Day Spa and a female gym is 5 minute walk up the road from the property. Proudfoots, a historic restaurant, on the Hopkins River about a 15 minute stroll across the bridge and along the river walk past the boat moorings. They are well known for delicious food, great place to go for tea or weekend breakfast. There is also a walking /riding track and board walk promenade that will follows the foreshore and finishes at the Break Water passing the Warrnambool Surf Club, Lake Pertobe and some terrific restaurants, Simons and The Pavilion to note, which is a great place for breakfast or lunch. The CBD is only 5 minutes drive from the property great variety of restaurants, art galleries, gift shops, boutiques and speciality shops as well as supermarkets and other large chain stores such as, Woolworths, Coles, Audi, K-Mart and Target. Set on 2 acres, Sea Mist was purchased as a subdivision in 1998. The garden and house were also designed then and given council approval the following year. The extensive gardens incorporate both design ideas that Edna Walling used, and Bill Mollison and David Holgren developed with their Permaculture principals. The gardens were established over a number of years to follow, aiming to be as sustainable as possible. Although the property has town water connected, for most of the year it runs totally on tank water. The wastewater is recycled and used on many of the gardens. We have organic orchard and vegetable gardens that use companion planting and successive crop rotation. Guests are free to spend time in the garden and pick some fruit and herbs for a snack to use in cooking a meal. Please be respectful and leave plenty for others to share.
