Come and Stay in a very comfortable and well appointed bell tent in a beautiful tranquil bush setting on my 12 acre property. This is BYO bedding to keep the price affordable but still with all the comforts. Nestled in a little valley. Lots of wildlife, beautiful walks and a swimming hole is just up the road.
The site is off grid but still has 240v via a battery and inverter setup and all the other creature comforts including a well setup outdoor kitchen with BBQ and sink. The bathroom is close by with hot shower and flushing toilet and is shared with one other site. There is wood heater inside the tent. Just bring some bedding and your set to go for a fantastic relaxing few nights in the bush.
In the cooler months, we will leave some Firewood, lighters and matches inside the tent for the fire box however wood for outside fires is BYO, there’s plenty of kindling and sticks on the property to collect.

Our property, "Seven Hills Tallarook", sits high above Tallarook with deep valleys and high peaks, just over one hour North of Melbourne's CBD. The property is 600 acres of thick Victorian bush and farmed paddocks.
We have a wide range of hobby farm animals - pigs, sheep, alpacas, chickens, ponies, a donkey, along with commercial heard of South African Boer Goats. As night falls, the wildlife come out to play - kangaroos, rabbits, deer and wallabies.
Internally, we have in excess of 10 kilometers of roads within the property, the majority being 2WD accessible (weather conditions apply). There are parts of the property which are only 4WD accessible.
Our campsites are placed to allow you to be as isolated as possible - away from other campers (you may see others as you drive past, or they drive past you). At some of our bush sites, you will be able to see other campers, but they are not close by. Most site will take multiple vehicles and caravans.
Additionally, we anticipate our Fire Danger Period for the 2025/2026 Summer Season will commence in the coming weeks. We have not toggled the Fire Ban on as we do still allow campfires, however campers MUST adhere to CFA guidelines at all times. On days of Total Fire Ban (TFB), no fires, including gas stoves can be lit outdoors. In event of the TFB toggle needing to be used on Hipcamp, this will advise all guests booked on that day and to all future guests. We will toggle it off once the TFB is removed. Furthermore, we reserve the right to ask you not to light a fire regardless of TFB status if we feel weather conditions are unsafe, especially the wind element. We cannot plan the weather and the request to not light your campfires will most likely be on the day and we will advise as such. Our interest is with your safety, our neighbors and our property and our family.

3 nights at The Forest Cottage- Trentham
I loved my time staying in the forest cabin! Kelly was great with communication leading up to and during my stay. He had even started the fire early so the place was toasty and warm on my arrival - such a nice touch! Walking the tracks nearby and at Lederderg were stunning, especially with the wintry rain falling all around. The local town of Trentham was also nice to explore. I highly recommend the scotch fillet steak at Pig and Whistle! My personal highlight was watching a wallaby outside my window as we both ate our breakfast. So peaceful and relaxing - just what the doctor ordered. See you next time!

Weekend Trip to Lower Widecombe Medieval Cottage
We had the most amazing stay in Delldint’s Medievil Cottage. The building itself is impressive and the hospitalty even more so.
The property was quiet with birds and kangeroos hanging around. The cottage has an amazing open fireplace and kitchen with everything we needed.
We're looking foward to returning next winter.

Weekend Trip to Weemalah Cabin & Camping
loved this beautiful and relaxing spot to stay! so cosy and enjoyed the hot tub on a cold night then by the fire! afterwards was perfect to enjoy a movie in bed with some peace and quiet. anne was very lovely and welcoming!
even got to explore some of her property down by the swimming hole and viewing spots!

Great spot for a group of campers, wanting to get away to a peaceful and quiet location (but with amenities close by in Maryborough)
Great set up with the camp kitchen, Echidna cabin, drop toilet and water tanks, plus lots of other extras.
Nice flat ground for extra tents and vans, lots of shade and loads of space.

Amazing farm stay. The barn-converted cottage was comfortable, stylish and pleasant. The outdoor covered 'pen' area was such creative integration to the overall living area of the stay. The sheep were so friendly - walked right up to the fence for head scratches.
Our 2 little dogs loved the place - sniffed anything and everything, so many areas for them to explore.

4 nights at Lovely Bush Property
Staying at the echidna retreat was extremely peaceful and relaxing, the facilities and amenities provided were clean, tidy and plentiful. Clear instructions were provided on the listing, by the host and on instructional paper in the accommodation.
The views, weather and animals surrounding were beautiful as well as the local towns which were rich in culture and provided plenty of site seeing opportunities. The stars were unbelievable and bright as well. We saw an echidna within 5 minutes of our arrival and kangaroos greeted us every morning before the sun fully rose.
Would highly recommend to any people looking to have a peaceful stay away from all the noise and pollution of city living.

4 nights at Lovely Bush Property
Beautiful and clean. The mini golf was a big hit (no pun intended), and the little quaint indoor stove kept the cabin warm on a cold night. Ian was friendly, communicative, and checked in regularly to ensure we were ok. The block is easy to find, and there is plenty of tank water available. The bush kitchen was cute, and the table near the fire pit was lovely to sit at. The cabin has enough beds and chairs for family.

Weekend Trip to Macedon Ranges Glamping with kangas
We had a fantastic time here! Jonathan and Jennifer were so lovely and welcoming, and do a mean vegan breakfast! The bell tent had everything we needed including board games, a coffee machine, and a mini fridge. There's also a table and chairs outside of the tent so we relaxed out there with a bottle of wine. We loved seeing the local wildlife that they care for too. Will be back again!

A great little private cottage located on the rear of the property with easy access to the forest walking trails. We enjoyed 3 nights of peace, serenity and the laughter of kookaburras. Our 4yo loved exploring and discovering native animals and bee hives nearby while our older teens loved the nightly outdoor and indoor fires and accompanying roasts and marshmallow s'mores. Kitchen was well equipped to handle family meal time and the indoor wood heater kept the cottage toasty all night. Recommended for anyone requiring the connection that stems from the disconnect of technology.

We had a lovely two days at this hut. We walked directly from the hut to Lyonville and Trentham with lunch at Trentham, an excellent day out.
The hut was clean, dry with plenty of wood, we were very warm.
The indoors composting toilet was easy to use and odour free.

We loved our time at The Forrest Cottage. It was bigger than it looked in the pictures, and had everything we needed. Our kids loved sitting by the fireplace, and watching the wallabys and kangaroos jump across the property. It felt very private - the hosts Kelly and Erin were lovely and welcoming! I would highly recommend staying here!

Weekend Trip to The Stables On Knox
We had a wonderful stay at The Stables on Knox!
We came to take maternity photos and the property was perfect – beautiful scenery, a cute cozy house, and lots of photogenic spots inside and out. The fireplace made it extra relaxing too 😊
Some things to note: the BBQ and pizza oven in the barn were quite dirty so we didn’t use them, and the coffee machine was broken. Also, we were woken up early by a possum scratching on the roof – a true country experience, but something to keep in mind if you’re a light sleeper!
Overall, we loved our stay and would definitely recommend it!
