The expansive Muckleford State Forest is just beyond, great for mountain biking, bush-walking and discovering old historical relics from the gold mining days. We are just 5km from Castlemaine town centre, which is an easy cycle or a 5 min drive. You might like to spend your free time adventuring, exploring the property, swimming in the dam, enjoying a fire bath or wandering through the forest. There are tenants living in the main house. Kilbirnie Peak Glamping is situated on our 6th generation family farm. Here, you'll find a sunrise and sunset lovers delight. Bleeting sheep in the distance, kangaroos grazing below, eagles flying above, a true farm life glamping experience. The main operation here on the farm is cropping canola, wheat, barley, lupins and running merino ewes to grow fat lambs and wool. Tim and Susie with sons Joe and Sam live at the homestead 2km from the glamping site, we’re all happy to assist with any problems that may pop up. Book with us, and you'll arrive to your gorgeous tent furnished and ready to relax. The 5m Bell tent is uniquely situated in a secluded old tin shed amongst the Berrimal Hills with incredible 360 views on top of the peak. The accommodation is set up for couples, with a queen bed and many extra comforts to help you unwind, including the indulgent bath with a view (with hot water!), flush toilet, hot water shower, well equipped camp kitchen and more. If the weathers cool, warm up at the fire pit or by the wood burning fire. Merriwoola (Merri Wominjeka : Stones Welcome) is a property of outstanding natural beauty and offers guests a sanctuary from the world surrounded by parkland bush, mysterious boulders resting amongst the trees and numerous native animals including wombats, echidnas, kanagroos, wallabies, possums, koala and the most extraordinary birdlife. The property is defined by an ancient water course that cuts a 1km ravine through the property. During the winter the dry boulder-strewn gorge is transformed with waterfalls and cascades along its length and regardless of the season transports you to another time and place. There is limited solar power (enough for phones and laptops) and low flow water (enough to brush your teeth). Neither is guaranteed to be available. beautiful spot for a circuit-breaker from city life. Technically, you're in a tent, but it's the size of a small apartment, so it's easy to just chill out, relax, and unwind. A decent kitchen, bathroom, a lovely and a lovely little deck from which to gaze at the stars make this place a delight.

Don’t go looking elsewhere but do yourself a favour and book your stay here! Its the most magical place with everything you need and more. From the candles to the firelighters, lots of blankets, pizza oven, grill, open fireplace, lots of ottomans and a bathtub. We felt at peace and very secluded. Susi has done such an excellent job and deserves lots of credit for it. She wrote us a little note and packed two delicious homemade cookies which was extremely cute. Will definitely come back for more and recommend to anyone i know!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️

From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm welcome, immaculate cleanliness, and thoughtful attention to detail throughout the space. Stayed here over the weekend with my wife—was a lovely little escape. The host was super helpful and made everything easy. The tent had everything we needed: a small kitchen, clean washroom, and best of all, a hot water bathtub out on the deck. It got pretty windy after dark, but the felt warm and cosy inside the tent. Would go again in summer.
