Camp and fish just a stonesthrow from one of Tasmania's most stunning natural landscapes, Cradle Mountain. Here you'll find nature at its best, just 10 minutes drive from the Cradle Mountain Visitors centre, the perfect base for discovering this magical area. Our campsites are on scenic, levelled areas overlooking the large dam and bushland, with grassed areas ideal for tents and camper-vans, and a portaloo a short walk away. The block is a natural timber and grassland block, with devils, quolls and wombats also residing here. We have one powered site available, and multiple unpowered sites. There is a lovely walking track around the dams periphery. Feed fish from the edge, spot platypus frolicking about, and keep your eye out for Peacocks wandering the property too. Whilst you are welcome to bring your dog with you, please ensure they don't harass the wildlife. A keen fisher fish in our dams for trophy size rainbow brown and brook trout catch and release fees and rules apply

You can lay back and star gaze the myriad of stars, and even take a jump off the pontoon into the beautiful cool waters, or bring your kayaks and paddle the shores. A great base to visit the Florentine valley, Mt Field and many other nearby attractions. The tranquillity and privacy will leave you a wonderful feeling of peace. This is a wonderful place to unwind, take a swim with your dog and just hang out with the very special access to the lagoon. There are no amenities here, campers must be self contained and leave no trace. One vehicle per site, only one family group per site! If you have a family or group with more vehicles please book accordingly. I will not accept bookings that do not follow these guidelines. We grow and process organic certified medicinal herbs and plants. The camping site is located in a beautiful location overlooking the lavender fields, in bloom december/january, with the ever-changing Mt Roland in the background. On days with cold southerly winds, alternative campingsites are available on the farm. Please contact us to find out. Includes use flushing toilet, hot shower and laundry (external access). Approx. 300m from the campsite. We are pet friendly. We've got room for up to 5 separate bookings. Due to shortage of personnel, we can no longer offer the farm tours. Hope this will change coming season 2024/25. But hipcampers are welcome to have a walk on the farm. We are working together with other organic certified farmers. They lease parts of our land to grow vegetables. Hipcampers are welcome to have a walk around their crops as well. Big news: we have started to build a tearoom with possibilities to organise herbal workshops and give education about growing and using medicinal herbs. . Scott and his wife Linda were lovely and welcoming hosts on their camping and fishing property. Despite the rain, we managed to enjoy a firepit ($25 for a wheel barrow + firelighter) and trout fishing ($65 for 24h with 1 rod and 5 trout pellets on hooks provided - catch and release only). Their pond is heavily stocked with large trout which are very fun to catch on 6LB line! There are clean portaloos and gas BBQ facilities on the property. They even provided us with a bucket of hot soapy water to clean our dishes. Areas to park RVs are on gravel. No potable water, but water can be boiled for 3 mins before drinking. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Cradle Mountain and wanting a more 'off grid' experience. Lovely hospitality 5/5.

What a view!!! Absolutely loved our stay. The loogoon was like a sheet of glass almost everyday. There was morning frosts and fog, but this added to the experience, and we did camp at the back of winter. The only thing I would strongly recommend is that if your towing, make sure you have a 4x4.

The most surreal site! Directions were perfect and easy to follow, the site was incredible! The view from the river was unreal and the sunrise, we’ve never seen anything like it! We were lucky to be the only campers on site. Would recommend and the access / site was perfect for our van!

Just had a long weekend at Cluny Lagoon. If you like bush settings, peace and tranquillity this is the place for you. About an hours drive North of Hobart and roughly 15 minutes outside Ouse. There's a flat camping area by the water, plenty of room for our 22ft Snowy. We will definitely be returning here.

Scott was friendly, easy to communicate with and helpful. We loved the big lake and the swing chair to sit on to relax and look out for platypus’s. It was quiet and peaceful and we would have taken the boat out in the lake if the weather had of been better. The BBQs around were very handy and the portaloos were clean.
