4 nights at Rivers Edge

Awesome site right on the river, the sun disappears pretty quickly in the arvo and the rays don’t hit you in the morning until about 9. Andrew is an awesome character, supplied me with enough wood for the 4 days to keep us warm. Couple of good trees close enough to string some hammocks together. Really enjoyed our time there to reset from the rat race.

Lovely quiet spot right next to a creek, was a lovely base to set up to explore the area, Adam met us onsite and pointed us I the right direction, lovely and quiet just what we needed,

Peaceful site by the river. Be aware that there is a neighboring property who allow family to camp on their site so you may not be as secluded as you want and there is a road quite close. Neither of these things bothered us but if you are sensitive to such things it is something to be aware of. We would happily camp there again. Andrew was very welcoming.

What a great spot several hundred meters from the road right on a beautiful prehistoric river with loads of privacy all by ourselves. We parked our 21” van alongside the vacant farmers setup facing the creek and vegged out for a few days with the family and dogs. The views back on the Western Tiers are also stunning and made sunrise/sunset a great time to be outside. I’m surprised this is not more popular with close access so many small towns, National Parks and even Tasmazia. Would return!

There is a decent bathroom and a simple but nice kitchen. The campground is flat and suitable for tents. The owner is friendly. I saw Pademelon wandering around my tent in the night! It is definitely recommended!

I had a lovely stay at Cethana Campground. The area is quiet and peaceful—perfect for relaxing. The toilets were clean, and the hot showers were a nice bonus. There’s even Wi-Fi, which was great to have. Everything felt well looked after, and it’s clear the owners care about the place. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a calm, well-equipped camping spot in the area.

Management were so welcoming and friendly. Really loved our conversations, such a wise women. The campsite had all the basics. Just would have been an improvement to have a sink in the kitchen, but one nearby in the amenities building did the trick. Loved the paddymelons hanging about.

We loved this camp, especially as we had it all to ourselves. Would be amazing in warmer weather. Andrew came to visit and very nice. Very happy with the wood we ordered. Would definitely recommend.

Sandy’s Gates of Heaven truly lives up to its name. I was lucky enough to enjoy this beautiful property all to myself, and it was absolute bliss. The firepit added a perfect touch, and the trees sprinkled with soft lighting created a magical setting for stargazing and unwinding. Sandy was incredibly accommodating, and her attention to detail made the stay even more special. I couldn’t recommend this place more—already looking forward to my next visit!

This camp was peaceful, beautiful and thoroughly enjoyable. A lovely view of the creek from our caravan. Adam was friendly and helpful and I loved his dogs. Highly recommend this spot.

Great place to camp with beautiful Mount Claude in the background. Facilities clean and tidy. Pet friendly also with scenic walk nearby.

Easy to find and I was greatly warmly upon arrival. The kitchen, bathroom, and laundry are basic, but they were clean and well maintained. The hot shower had good water pressure and was much appreciated after a long day exploring the sites around the area

2 nights at Rivers Edge

We loved our stay at Rivers Edge. It felt like we were camped smack bang in Tasmania's Wilderness, even with the road quite close to the property. Andrew's wheelbarrow of wood was plenty for our camp fire over two nights. This Hipcamp goes to the top of our list.

Very nice Camp to a good Price. There were hot showers and great picnic area. Wendy made sure everyone had a nice stay and a good camp spot. Highly recommend since it's a short drive to cradel mountains

Absolutely amazing people! Such a beautiful stay, clean shower and toilets. Pizza oven works just ask for a little hand if needed :) Cafe just up the street open Wednesday to Sunday as well for nice little meals. Miss Chook is the resident chicken but super friendly! We will definitely be returning
