We only stayed for one night as we were only passing through the area but we enjoyed our stay. We were the only ones camping at the time and enjoyed some local wines and cheese by the damn with our 2 collies. Romina's communication was great and we would stay there again (maybe next time for longer).

We loved our stay at Old Mac’s. The sites are spacious and grassy, the toilets are excellent and the location is close enough to all tourist spots in Launceston. Lucas is so lovely and approachable, a joyful wave as he does the nightly site check. A gorgeous lake on site, close to a cafe and restaurant and firewood and fire buckets for sale/hire, So affordable for what we get - puts many other parks to shame. The donkeys who loved carrots were a great highlight for the kids. Thanks again guys,

Our stay at the Valley was peaceful and quiet, in a pretty spot between two dams. Some curious sheep wandered past, but kept their distance. The water in the dams was very clear and would be a great spot to swim in summer. Levelling ramps were useful, but there are plenty of rocks around if needed. Access was not a problem in our 2 wheel drive and pod trailer.

If you're looking for adventure, Bare Rock offers world class rock-climbing and is a short walking distance from Valley's Nest. If mountain-biking is your thing, Derby is an hour away, and 50mins to St Helens. And the exquisite East Coast beaches are 30mins away. If it's rest and relaxation you're needing, we have you covered with stunning views from the cabin and fire-bath, reading materials and paints. The cabin itself has a cosy wood stove heater, and is furnished with a double bed with pillows and a queen-sized doona. There is an undercover outdoor small kitchen with a 2 burner gas stovetop, basic kitchenware (with hand-held coffee grinder and aeropress), sink and solar lighting. The toilet is a private eco-throne with a view to Bare Rock. It is composting and only a short walk from the cabin. We provide you with wood for the casuarina canopied fire-bath, and indoor wood stove, an esky, bed linen, towels, tea-towels, basic kitchenware, cooking basics and toilet paper. Please note this is rustic accommodation, the cabin doesn’t have 240v power only 12v LED lighting. There is no wifi available but there is strong mobile phone service. Fingal is fondly known by the locals as "the Valley", and hosts several coffee and food vans for travellers passing through. Fingal is located just 15 mins to local township St Marys, where you'll find IGA Supermarkets and the popular pub/restaurant St Marys Hotel. Also the gold-prospecting rivers of Mathinna and Mangana are both short drives away.

A recently listed property. Be the first to stay! South of the Bay of Fires, North of Wineglass Bay. A beautiful bush acreage located a five minute amble from Beaumaris Beach. The eastern side has a cleared area with little private nooks to tuck yourself into. Ocean Drive is asphalt to the front gate, then it is firm, level, all weather access to the camping sites. There is clean and well maintained public toilets two hundred metres away. Plenty of kindling is available and camp fires allowed when https://www.fire.tas.gov.au/fire-danger-rating/ is not a total ban. Keep under a metre, ensure the ground is cleared around and attend until extinguished. Pets are welcome, especially dogs 👍 There are private walking trails on the property. St Helens is under fifteen minutes away, Bay of Fires 25 minutes. Scamander 5 minutes. The famous St Helens bike trails are under ten minutes drive or accessible on your bike via the back trails. Ride direct to the trail heads! There is fantastic nine hole golf course at Scamander. Campgrounds are nestled amongst lakes and wetlands, with an abundance of wildlife sharing the grounds with campers. Apricus Restaurant is on the property, hosting all the farm animals (highland cows, alpacas, cheeky goats and furry donkeys to name a few!). Toilets are available along with a dump point. Stringybark is a quiet 80 hectare rural property in the North East of Tasmania, featuring bush, native grassland and 4 beautiful lakes. It's the perfect place to kick back and relax, enjoy the views, the abundant wildlife and refreshing swims in the lakes on the property. If you feel like going for a wander, you can spend hours exploring the bush and native grasslands on the property and if you're keen on climbing the hill you get rewarded with amazing views over the Great Western Tiers. Why not take your mountain bike up there and enjoy the downhill ride afterwards? Sunsets are spectacular at Stringybark and the skies phenomenal during clear nights. Although it feels like the end of the world, surrounded by bush and wildlife, we're only 30 minutes drive from Launceston CBD, Ben Lomond National Park and Josef Chromy's winery and only a 20 minute drive from Launceston Airport, making it a perfect base to explore Launceston and surrounds. You need to be fully self contained and there are no amenities. But there is a beautiful lake with jetty to swim in. We live on the property, just a stone's throw from the camp site, so if you ever need anything, just shout out. Dogs are permitted, however strictly on lead only to protect the wildlife and our sheep. If your dog gets very excited around wildlife or sheep, this may not be a suitable stay, since they might come right up to your camp. Please note, that Stringybark is a working property. While we'll always respect your privacy and keep noise levels to a minimum, please be aware that we do work on the land and that tools, building material and other rural property stuff can be present at any time (never on the campsite though). Please ALWAYS supervise children and pets, particularly in the following areas: -bush and grass areas where snakes can be present most of the year -around the shed where we store farm materials -around our lakes which are not fenced in We're so excited to be sharing our piece of paradise with campers from near and far and from all walks of life :)

Beautiful located right beside the Ringarooma River. Fish in the river, swim or just spot a platypus in the river. There is a kayak that you are welcome to use to have a paddle in the water. We have a 40ft shipping container now on site, this has books and games you are welcome to use during your stay. It also has jams, sauces and honey for sale. You can now find us and follow us on Facebook. Search Derby Frasers Flats. Property is located a 5 minutes' drive out of Derby. You can cross the river and then you are on the bike track that will take you to Derby or Branxholm, this is a beautiful walking track or carry your bike across river then ride. Quiet location perfect place to stay for a few nights. Awesome quiet spot to get away. Property is on a working dairy/beef farm. Wood available for sale at camp to use in fire pits for just $10 a tub. We have just put in a private dump point for guest convince. By arrangement if time permits I can arrange for a cost of $20 per person a look at our dairy during milking.

A recently listed property. Be the first to stay! South of the Bay of Fires, North of Wineglass Bay. A beautiful bush acreage located a five minute amble from Beaumaris Beach. The eastern side has a cleared area with little private nooks to tuck yourself into. Ocean Drive is asphalt to the front gate, then it is firm, level, all weather access to the camping sites. There is clean and well maintained public toilets two hundred metres away. Plenty of kindling is available and camp fires allowed when https://www.fire.tas.gov.au/fire-danger-rating/ is not a total ban. Keep under a metre, ensure the ground is cleared around and attend until extinguished. Pets are welcome, especially dogs 👍 There are private walking trails on the property. St Helens is under fifteen minutes away, Bay of Fires 25 minutes. Scamander 5 minutes. The famous St Helens bike trails are under ten minutes drive or accessible on your bike via the back trails. Ride direct to the trail heads! There is fantastic nine hole golf course at Scamander. I look forward to welcoming you to the property and I will be finely attuned to any feedback to continue to make the property as attractive as possible and ensure you have a wonderful stay.

Stringybark is a quiet 80 hectare rural property in the North East of Tasmania, featuring bush, native grassland and 4 beautiful lakes. It's the perfect place to kick back and relax, enjoy the views, the abundant wildlife and refreshing swims in the lakes on the property. If you feel like going for a wander, you can spend hours exploring the bush and native grasslands on the property and if you're keen on climbing the hill you get rewarded with amazing views over the Great Western Tiers. Why not take your mountain bike up there and enjoy the downhill ride afterwards? Sunsets are spectacular at Stringybark and the skies phenomenal during clear nights. Although it feels like the end of the world, surrounded by bush and wildlife, we're only 30 minutes drive from Launceston CBD, Ben Lomond National Park and Josef Chromy's winery and only a 20 minute drive from Launceston Airport, making it a perfect base to explore Launceston and surrounds. You need to be fully self contained and there are no amenities. But there is a beautiful lake with jetty to swim in. We live on the property, just a stone's throw from the camp site, so if you ever need anything, just shout out. Dogs are permitted, however strictly on lead only to protect the wildlife and our sheep. If your dog gets very excited around wildlife or sheep, this may not be a suitable stay, since they might come right up to your camp. Please note, that Stringybark is a working property. While we'll always respect your privacy and keep noise levels to a minimum, please be aware that we do work on the land and that tools, building material and other rural property stuff can be present at any time (never on the campsite though). Please ALWAYS supervise children and pets, particularly in the following areas: -bush and grass areas where snakes can be present most of the year -around the shed where we store farm materials -around our lakes which are not fenced in We're so excited to be sharing our piece of paradise with campers from near and far and from all walks of life :)
