Check in after 9am you get a whole day BEFORE you camp for the night and check out by 3pm this way you get another day here and plenty of daylight to get to your next place This place has river flats surrounded by wilderness and is the first private property on the river, so therefor the LAST property at the end of the road before the road goes into Forestry tracks. Many would consider this place to be very remote.....to us it is close to the City only 50 minutes away over the Mountain gravel roads. If you want to travel on mostly sealed roads go through Fingal and PAST Mathinna. Check maps before you leave as NO reception out here. It is 40 acres and we have MANY MANY free roaming animals, milking goats, ducks, chickens, cows, 3 BIG dogs. (The dogs will get out of the way of cars so just drive ahead and the dogs will move out of your way they have big barks but they are friendly) PLEASE NOTE: If you have any issues with dogs let us know in ADVANCE and we can lock them in their yard for your stay. EVERYONE is told upon arrival to honk/toot your horn if you have any issues or need help and one of us will come and help if you let us know! Otherwise we leave people in peace to camp as they wish and where they want. The property has a big guest house that is currently empty, this is where the flushing toilet is for you to use whilst camping if you like. This Rustic country house is also available for hire/rent, there is hot water via a woodfire (takes up to 5 hours to heat up water $50 per wheelbarrow load of wood) with Big triangle bath and a shower for use if you book the house, (3 single beds and a few new double bed air mattresses are available for your less rugged campers who want to come but need that extra comfort or to be close to a toilet at $40 per person per night.) You are welcome to come camping anytime with a range of needs catered to. Sorry no wheelchair ramps, a single step into the house and one step into the toilet too. Pick whatever spot you like to camp upon, by the river, the rocky island in the river, in the bush, just on the paddock grass anywhere. The big house is for you to use the toilet, kitchen sink and feel free to have a cold shower if you want. You can wander on the property connect with us and if you like you can help feed the animals. We are very happy to host people who love nature and enjoy organic farm life. There is NO wifi or mobile phone reception ZERO, so you can finally enjoy total tranquility. Relax night and day in a fire pit lounge area crafted with dry stone (large soft cushions included) plus an outdoor fire bath. A small separate shed houses a flushing toilet and gas hot water shower. The block has mains power; solar power and tank water. The block is surrounded by local endemic shrubs, trees and ground covers. The block is in a quiet coastal hamlet (with gravel roads and no street lights) ideal for beach and lagoon activities (surfing, walking, paddling, bird watching). Our 2 person sit on kayak is at the tidal lagoon 5 min walk away. We have crafted this space over a number of years for personal use and now would like others to experience it. No tents. Cressy is Tasmania's only 'troutified' township as the local area is a mecca for fly fishing. Located 34 km south west of Launceston, Cressy is a small, attractive, and historically significant town which came into existence in the 1850s to service the surrounding wheat farms. Very nice back yard hidden from the street. Views of the mountains.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted and taken care of. The space is a mix of bushy or open with the ability to choose where best suits you to set up. We followed the hosts suggestion to camp in an open area away from a large group for more peace and quiet. My friend and I booked two sites and had our 4 dogs with us who were able to have them off lead and they were much happier and relaxed than when they have to be secured. They also had the kids come and play with them which they absolutely loved. We really enjoyed having the kids show us the estuary and crabs. We really felt like we were an extension of the family during our stay and would happily stay here solo. Looking forward to staying here again soon!

This was our second stay, we changed plans on this trip upon discovering the site available. We spent two nights in the picturesque surrounds on offer, enjoying the quiet, birds & the complete absence of phone reception. A great wide open space, we all enjoyed thoroughly doing some fishing, kids having a little splash in the creek & exploring around trying to see what animals live there. Would recommend to anyone who is wanting a getaway with calm & quiet on the agenda

We loved our 2 night stay at Cherry Top Farm. Loved waking up to the sound of birds and the walk to the toilet through the garden beds was lovely. They have a PowerPoint to charge your phone and a tap to fill up water bottles. Super easy to get to Launceston and we made use of the public pool down the road that has free hot showers. They were also kind enough to give us some of their produce!

Charly was very helpful. Warning to put your food away though as the nosy but harmless cows did pay us a visit at bedtime!

I loved the Acomidation and it was such a beautiful spot! Very relaxing. The bath was so nice aswell, the best views! I feel like it was a bit unclean though, the dishes were not very clean (assuming from previous campers maybe) so we left ours rinsed as we think they need hot water for washing not just cold water.. there wasn’t much to use utensils wise, and we thought there was meant to be so we went without but really struggled, There wasn’t much instructions on things like the bath for example. You do not need a lot of wood and that’s for sure otherwise you can’t get in, it’s way to hot. Maybe something is needed for the bottom of the tub.. it seemed a bit un safe at times with embers flying around in very close to reach the Acomidation from the fire pit being so close.. including while starting the pot belly fire inside the room.. and the burner is so close to the wall of the Acomidation, we were super worried with where it was sat.. the one pot had black stuff all over it and constantly got all over our clothes and tea towels etc.. maybe it just needs a bit of time spent on it to make it that bit better.
