Valley’s Nest was the perfect blend of camping and comfort. It was lovely having a warm cosy bed and a hot bath to look forward to after getting salty in the surf. We also utilised the water colour paints, guitar and books — a great selection! The views from the accomodation and location of the property are spectacular. Abby and Markus have created a super special spot, we will definitely be back!

What can I say.. I really didn’t want to leave! Came across Valleys Nest on Instagram and made a booking instantly. Such a special place. I particularly loved that it is dog friendly, as my pup was very happy to enjoy a snuggly night away! The bath was beautiful to relax in. The undercover kitchen was a bonus, as it rained on both days that I was there. The rain on the roof was lovely to listen to with a coffee in bed in the morning.. and the bed was extra comfy! Will absolutely be back and recommend to everyone.

I spent two treasured nights away in this magical little bush getaway. A gorgeous, private, rustic cabin with the most comfortable and cosy bed and a wonderful outdoor tub. I arrived frazzled after a long day, but felt relaxed and uplifted within minutes. I enjoyed a long soak in the bath with views overlooking the valley and then the best nights sleep. There was also a lovely selection of books to read. Fingal township is close bye for coffee and brekkie or the outdoor kitchen worked a treat. Communication with Abby was warm hearted and so accommodating and all directions to the property super easy. I highly recommend this experience as a wonderful way to leave the world behind for a day or two.

We really appreciated our stay at Valley’s nest. The space itself is great, simple and beautiful. The location and views are spot on and the bath is bliss. Abby communication with us was clear and kind and she was generous with our check in time. We are already planning our next ‘retreat’ to Valley’s Nest.

Loved the thoughtful construction of this little gem using recycled materials and stonework. The view, the woodfired bath and hammock were all hits for us. A qwerky, fun and chillaxing place to stay.

Wow! What a hidden little gem. Ashli and Julianne were absolutely the most amazing down to earth hosts.. met some wonderful people along the way .. rode our bikes into Beaconsfield..had a coffee at the brewery (I know🤦‍♀️but it was only 11 and we had to ride back) stopped at another winery on the way back had some lunch and then some wine.. Rode back to Ironpot (had a little more wine.)met some lovely locals there…can’t wait to return 5 stars xx

What a marvelous spot! Camping on the luscious grass by the vines only topped off by the proximity to an incredible winery - every Iron Pot Bay wine is delicious.

We loved the camping experience at Iron Pot. Beautiful looking over the vines, lots of space to set up camp. The property is dog friendly which we need. The owners were very friendly & helpful. The tasting experience was great. We purchased a beautiful desert wine. Chatting to staff we felt so welcome & comfortable & they were great with our boys(dogs). We will be back to the area. Thank you.

We love this property, theres only limited spots so its super quiet, the views are amazing staying right on the vines. The wine is also at a high standard so being able to do a tasting a walk to camp is cool. Highly recommend staying here and using it as a base to try other wineries in the area. This is our second time at the property and couldn't recommend it enough.

Beautiful located right beside the Ringarooma River. Fish in the river, swim or just spot a platypus in the river. There is a kayak and a paddle board that you are welcome to use to have a paddle in the water. You can now find us and follow us on Facebook. Search Derby Frasers Flats. Property is located a 5 minutes' drive out of Derby. You can cross the river and then you are on the bike track that will take you to Derby or Branxholm, this is a beautiful walking track or carry your bike across river then ride. Quiet location perfect place to stay for a few nights. Awesome quiet spot to get away. Property is on a working dairy/beef farm. Wood available for sale at camp to use in fire pits for just $10 a tub. We have just put in a private dump point for guest convince. By arrangement if time permits I can arrange for a cost of $20 per person a look at our dairy during milking.

If it's rest and relaxation you're needing, we have you covered with stunning views from the cabin and fire-bath, reading materials and paints. The cabin itself has a cosy wood stove heater, and is furnished with a double bed with pillows and a queen-sized doona. There is an undercover outdoor small kitchen with a 2 burner gas stovetop, basic kitchenware (with hand-held coffee grinder and aeropress), sink and solar lighting. The toilet is a private eco-throne with a view to Bare Rock. It is composting and only a short walk from the cabin. We provide you with wood for the casuarina canopied fire-bath, and indoor wood stove, an esky, bed linen, towels, tea-towels, basic kitchenware, cooking basics and toilet paper. Please note this is rustic accommodation, the cabin doesn’t have 240v power only 12v LED lighting. There is no wifi available but there is strong mobile phone service. Fingal is fondly known by the locals as "the Valley", and hosts several coffee and food vans for travellers passing through. Fingal is located just 15 mins to local township St Marys, where you'll find IGA Supermarkets and the popular pub/restaurant St Marys Hotel. Also the gold-prospecting rivers of Mathinna and Mangana are both short drives away.
