We run a sheep and cropping farm which creates beautiful camping grounds at the foot of the hills, just below the Heysen Trail. The campsites are located on the pasture paddocks of the farm with sheep roaming the area, so dogs on leashes at all times, and please pick up after them. With large distances between other campers, each site can cater for large groups, with no close neighbours. The sites are at least 2km away from busy roads, so absolute peace and privacy! There's a beautiful push bike ride from Riverton to Clare Valley and all the wineries are along the way. Plenty of room at the property for kids to ride their push bikes. Fantastic sunsets and sunrises from all sites, and at its best at the SUNSET BAA. Beautiful bird noises, including the kookaburras having a laugh. There's a very very basic "long drop toilet" pit toilet located near the Gumtree paddock and 5 others shared, down close to the camping paddocks, if not wanting to use shared toilets, please bring and supply your own portable toilet. Great Hotels/pubs to dine in at Tarlee and Riverton. This was our first off grid stay in our brand new caravan - and we absolutely loved it. Beautiful property, and so relaxing. Trish was lovely, and very friendly, yet non-intrusive. (Nothing against Peter- but we did not meet him - sure he is equally lovely.) If we lived in the same state, we would definitely make this a regular stay. We were greeted by a Kangaroo at the entrance. It is a lovely tidy camp with a great feel about it. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to visit again.

1 night at Edgehill Farm Stays Riverton

It's a large farm, off the beaten path, with a variety of different camping areas. Trish put us in an open field by a fire pit because there were high winds forecast overnight. You can hike up to a ridge with sunset views down to a broad valley. We were the only campers there that night and it was overcast and pitch black. There are sheep on the property and we had a herd visit our camp in the morning. It was easy to book online with quick confirmation and we drove there after having dinner in Clare. It was great for us and would recommend to anyone wanting something different away from the crowds.

We had a great time! The spot was nice and flat looking out into the trees. Georgie is a fantastic host, we would definitely go again!

Weekend Trip to Edgehill Farm Stays Riverton

We returned once again to an excellent camp-site surrounded by friendly sheep with lovely views of the hills, gum trees and open paddocks. We watched a pair of wedge-tailed eagles soaring along the nearby hills for hours. We were met by Trish upon arrival who was friendly and cheerful, as always.

7 nights at Gateway to the Clare Valley

We loved camping at Clare Valley View. We camped up the top of the hill near the cattle yard. Most amazing sunsets! Close enough to Saddleworth and other towns, as well as Clare Valley wineries. Highly recommend this place
