As usual, Trish and Peter’s hospitality was amazing. The sites are awesomely set up huge amount of space between all the campers grey spot so close to home love it been several times before and will be back again thanks guys.

What a wonderful spot and Trish and Pete are the most lovely accommodating hosts. This stay is absolutely stunning. The views are to die for and we loved watching the sheep and bird life. It is peaceful and private and close enough to small towns to grab a few groceries. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We absolutely loved our stay here! Trish was incredibly welcoming and lovely from the moment she met us at the gate, bringing loads of wood and telling us about the area. We went to the ‘Sunset Bar’ on our first night, and enjoyed a beautiful sunset view from the top of a hill, then spent a good deal of the rest of our time exploring our campsite with our fur baby, who had such a good time. Very quiet, very private (we weren’t here in a busier period) and very well run. Will definitely be returning whenever we’re near the area ❤️

This is a beautiful property with awesome hosts Trish and Pete. Definitely recommend a visit. It’s nice and green this time of year! The sites are private with plenty of space. Well maintained drop toilet. Easy access for large caravans.

Paul was a lovely guy! Had some firewood out for me, a little shelter I could pitch my swag under and offered help with anything else I needed. Great little spot that’s close to the southern flinders ranges areas. Thanks, Paul!

2 nights at Eckert’s Old Place

Such a treat to step back in time in this magic stone cottage. It’s delightfully rustic with a brilliant fire place and gentle candle light to read and cook by. Do buy a barrow of wood from Chris as it’s a great mix of kindling and all night burning logs. We loved our two days here!

Gum Tree Paddock at Riverton was an awesome camp site. Very sheltered and scenic. Lovely and quiet. A short walk to Sunset Baa and a good walk to the putt putt course. We did a short hike along the Heysen Trail adjoining their property. Trish and Peter could not have been more welcoming and hospitable. With great directions, cappuccinos and home baked morning tea in the shearing shed, and help with some jumper leads when we needed them. The portaloo was the most luxurious ever! And Trish was a super help over the phone with our booking enquiries and went out of her way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. I highly recommend a camping experience on their beautiful property.

I loved camping at Edgehill this weekend. Despite the severe weather, Trish and Pete did everything they could to.mske us comfortable. We had a site with a silo hut and pot belly stove, which gave the kids a space to escape the weather. We also all enjoyed the coffees in the morning and the drinks in the evening at the shearing shed. Thanks for amazing hospitality, will definitely be back xx

Weekend Trip to Eckert’s Old Place

Our group was a mixture of tents, swags, camper trailers and cottage users. It was great to be able to use the cottage during what was a VERY windy, cold and wet weekend. The fireplace was amazing and much appreciated. We loved the rustic charm and were pleasantly surprised at the amount of crockery and cooking utensils. Even made a big pot of soup on the open fire.

This is an outstanding place , There’s plenty of privacy and if you want to meet Trish, Pete and the other campers go to the bar on the hill to watch the sunset ( this is more a bench and fire drum on the hill, so byo drinks). Lovely safe spot thank you.

Edgehill Farm Stays was a beautiful spot to camp. Trish was very welcoming and showed us to our secluded, shady spot. Lovely views, very spacious and not too close to other campers. It was very peaceful and we will definitely be back to stay for more than one night.

Edgehill Farm Stays Riverton

Edgehill Farm Stays is located between Barossa and Clare Valley, 7km out of Riverton, and 1 hour north of Adelaide. We run a sheep and cropping farm which creates beautiful camping grounds at the foot of the hills, just below the Heysen Trail. The campsites are located on the pasture paddocks of the farm with sheep roaming the area, so dogs on leashes at all times, and please pick up after them. With large distances between other campers, each site can cater for large groups, with no close neighbours. The sites are at least 2km away from busy roads, so absolute peace and privacy! There's a beautiful push bike ride from Riverton to Clare Valley and all the wineries are along the way. Plenty of room at the property for kids to ride their push bikes. Fantastic sunsets and sunrises from all sites, and at its best at the SUNSET BAA. Beautiful bird noises, including the kookaburras having a laugh. There's a very very basic "long drop toilet" pit toilet located near the Gumtree paddock and 5 others shared, down close to the camping paddocks, if not wanting to use shared toilets, please bring and supply your own portable toilet. Great coffee, cafe, and pub meals are available in Riverton. IGA food store is open 7 days a week. Tarlee Hotel has the best meals as well. Important Information to know before All campers must check in BEFORE 8pm. If you are unable to arrive before 8pm, please make a booking for the following day instead. Generators are allowed on the unpowered sites, please respect other campers with turning them off by 10 pm at the latest. No chainsaws on property. Loud music not permitted, please turn silent by 830PM Pets are allowed, as long as they are on leashes at all times STRICTLY NO MOTORBIKES RIDDEN ON PROPERTY No rally driving. If you have day visitors joining you during your stay, please go to the extras section and add the numbers to the booking We also operate another Hipcamp called BURRA CREEK CAMPING situated 25km North of Robertstown, ideal for mostly 4WD and off road campers. Eckert’s Old Place

We are a Poll Merino sheep stud and a wheat/barley cropping farm at Emu Downs in the Mid North of SA. We have resurrected this character old workers quarters which we've turned into a rustic, peaceful abode for you to enjoy. Sleeps four (double bed, single bed and old miners couch,). Bring your own bedding. There is a flushing external toilet and a bush shower (ie: a shower bag, provided). The room with the open fire can be utilised as a kitchen/living area. We've provided crockery, cutlery, glasses, kettles and a camp oven. There is running cold rainwater into the sink. Cooking can be done on the open fire, or use the small camp gas cookers. There is also a gas BBQ in the outdoor room. If you are really brave, try your hand at camp oven cooking in the campfire. There is no power, only lighting provided from a small solar panel/battery. Extra guests welcome in tents, swags or vans adjacent to the cottage. To ensure only one group of campers at a time, THE COTTAGE HAS TO BE BOOKED FIRST, then book the extra campers through the additional campsites listing. Eckert's Old Place is within an easy drive to the Clare Valley wine regions and historic Robertstown, Burra and Eudunda. Campfires welcome when not in fireban season. You can order a wheelbarrow load for $30, or bring your own. Dogs are permitted, but please understand, we are a sheep stud and need to ensure no disturbance from dogs. Please advise if you intend to bring your dog.
