Awesome camp in a paddock at Six Strings winery. Did the best tasting we've ever done with Michael, he took us through the whole process of growing through to bottling of his wines. Great base to explore McLaren Vale and surrounds from, and great alternative to a caravan park. Kim gave us some excellent cherries too! Would definitely recommend.

What a wonderful place to stay during our (all too short!) visit to the Barossa. From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed. Belinda was absolutely delightful — friendly, helpful, and full of great local tips for places to visit, eat, and explore. The accommodation itself was peaceful and beautifully set among the vines — we had the whole vineyard to ourselves, which made it feel extra special. 😀 Sitting outside with a glass of wine, surrounded by the scenery, was such a highlight. We couldn’t resist purchasing some of the vineyard’s wine to enjoy once we’re back home — a lovely reminder of our stay. Highly recommend The Cutting , so much better than staying in a caravan park! Kim and Michael’s property was a peaceful oasis overlooking the vines. We stayed here for 2 nights with family in 2 vans and loved the open space. Michael gave us a great wine tasting, explaining from start up of their family winery. Perfect location for exploring the McLaren region with Aldi close by for grocery top ups. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Kim and Michael’s vineyard. The outlook and sunsets over the vines is truly beautiful. They were lovely hosts and we got to sample some of their very nice wines which are available for purchase. They will happily assist with suggested places to visit whilst in McLaren Vale. We would highly recommend this Hipcamp.

For vineyard camping, it really doesn’t get any better. The site was completely private, except for the occasional welcome visit from a kangaroo or two, with 360-degree vineyard views and a stunning drive in. Daniel, the host, was incredibly helpful, offering great local recommendations and impeccable communication. 10/10 recommend 🍷

Gooses Pond is a lovely peaceful camp in a large paddock with spectacular views. Sites were well spaced, so quite private. There was a flushing toilet as well as an undercover area to use. Firewood is available to purchase and host Billie-Jo was so helpful and friendly.

Minutes from Tanunda, The Cutting hosts guided us to the campsite right at the rear of the property - perched right next to the vines in a totally private clearing . Such a beautiful outlook over the vineyard at sunset by the fire. Doesn’t get better than this.

My wife and I came for a night away and were amazed by the huge open space! Was great to be able to see the hills, watch the helicopters come and go and even say hello to the cows. Great to see there was a functional toilet to use as we were camping in our swag (I would recommend maybe a light for inside the toilets when it’s dark). Great little shelter provided that we were lucky enough to use for the night to keep out the sun, as we just had our swag set up. Pet friendly was a bonus for us- the dog loved being able to adventure around! We’ll be back for sure, this place is a hidden gem. Thanks Billie-Jo!
