Spear Creek is located 25 kilometres south-east of Port Augusta, only 12km off Highway 1. Our eastern boundary follows the summit of the ranges north from Horrocks Pass, with walking trails through deep gorges to range top views of upper Spencer Gulf. The Holiday park is nestled amongst 600 year old river red gums adjacent to the ranges.
You may meet any of the three different species of kangaroos, echidnas, or 85 species of birds including wedge-tail eagles and peregrine falcons who call Spear Creek home.
The owner operators of this tourism business are fourth generation, whose families have been farmers and graziers on this land for over 130 years.

Pichi Richi Park is our family owned and operated property, 13km south of Quorn in the heart of the Pichi Richi Pass.
We have plenty of campsites, including bush campsites that are secluded and private, along with campsites that are much closer to our bathrooms, group accommodation, kitchens and bush cabins.
Here at Pichi Richi Park, there are a number of signposted walking tracks ranging in distance from a few km up to a 10km+ loop. The Heysen Trail comes through our property for nearly 7km and some of our own walking tracks link with the Heysen as it meanders through our property.
You can also ride your mountain bike around and the Mawson Bike Trail is not far away.
We have over 1,000 acres of land around our accommodation that we do not graze as we are allowing this beautiful piece of Aussie outback to return to its original and pristine state.
We are not a caravan park, so all campers and caravanners that come here get a fair bit of space and nobody is on top of anyone else.
Quorn is our local town and is 13km away to the north. Quorn has 2 pubs, a number of cafes and a little supermarket that is open from 7am to 8pm 7 days a week.

Only 700m off the main Petersburg Road (entry off Dawson Road), Our bush campsites offer a blend of natural beauty, and rustic charm, with each site positioned amongst old native pines, offering views of both sunrise and sunset, along with the open farmland, distant hills, and animals doing their thing.
Each site features a level pad to keep you out of the dirt and the prickles, while defining your spot. There are also firepits and bins on each site.
We currently require all campers to be fully self-contained, providing their own toilet, water, and power for a true off-grid experience. We are a work-in-progress and constantly chipping away at making things even better!
The centrepiece of the campsite is an absolutely stunning stone ruin. We wish the walls could talk to tell us its story! We are currently working on making this space accessible to all our guests. In the mean time fell free to have a look through, it makes for gorgeous photos.

Great area, nice view of flinders ranges. Felt really private considering it’s a holiday park which is really good, not much crowding at all. Found a nice shady spot on a sunny day. People there are really nice, easy to talk to and are very helpful. Highly recommend as I would stay there again.

The most lovely welcoming owners, insane views, beautiful and spacious sites, and great food available at reception. Access to great 4WD tracks was also cool to see. We only had the pleasure of staying one night, we would love to go back for a few days to explore the area better. Make sure you buy some of the award winning fresh meat and eggs too!

We stayed here for a few days just before Xmas, we found it to be very easy to locate. Camp managers were great to deal with. The camp ground set in a stunning setting. Very quite, gum trees all around, just beautiful for a few days of relaxing. The facilities were great. Clean toilets great laundry. Didn't use the showers but they were also well cared for when we had a look. We will be back. Thank you spear Creek camp

Great spot here with views of the ocean and the hills. Plenty of toilets around which was nice and the shower tree is very cool. You do have to bring your own water though but we came prepared.

Such a stunning spot and the shower tree was incredible. Sunset shower followed by a cold beer was absolute heaven. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful and checked in on us to see if we needed anything before we left. Would love to come back again someday.

Spear camp was a beautiful camp set in nature, it had a very chilled vibe, clean amenities and very friendly staff, I would definitely return.

Rugged and beautiful campsite set among ancient redgums, sunset was incredible, had a tree shower. It was summer so the flies and wind were part of the package but we loved it- we had the place to ourselves- very nice:)

Lovely spot among the gumtrees along the dry creek at the foot of the hills. Gorgeous.
Camp hosts super helpful. Fresh farm lamb for sale which we cooked that night in the camp kitchen.

Very quiet. I think I was the only one there.
Poured with rain all night, thunder & lightning and thick fog. So it was like a scene from a scary movie. However, this didn't detract from the serenity and beauty of the surrounds. The birds were singing in the morning. It was just as I expected. I'd go again if I was in the area.

We enjoyed a great stay at Heggies Hill bush camp. Lovely big campsite, terrific toilets and serene surroundings. It was easy to get to and easy to arrange a booking. It is a great spot to stay and explore a range of places and activities in the mid north.

We were privileged to be the first ever Hipcampers at Nikki's place. We were warmly welcomed to their farm and given lots of local info. We walked to the tower lookout on her farm and enjoyed one of the best views of the Flinders Ranges and Fitzgerald Bay. The flushing toilet and hot shower were sparkling clean. Leveling of caravans required, very peaceful and private spot.

I had a great stay and thank you to Alex for being so positive in opening up his property to motorcycle camping. I had the property to myself and found a great spot to pitch my tent. Campsite 11 had fantastic views across the valley and it was nice to sit back and watch the setting sun. I’ll definitely be planning another adventure.

I was in camp 5, with only 1 other camper visible off in the distance. The space looking down towards Port Augusta is huge. Unfortunately it was 32 degrees and extremely windy, and was not comfortable at all. Loads of flies. Luckily the big old gum tree provided shade. Any walks were out of the question. Once the wind dropped and the flies disappeared it was a pleasant spot to relax in. The sunset was beautiful.

Me, my partner and our cat had the best time possible at Spear Creek! All the staff was lovely, and helpful. We are very thankful for everything, and a honourable mention for Jordan and Anna, who made our 1 night there unforgettable!

Such a beautiful spot- my partner, pup and I, had the most relaxing time enjoying the stunning views and privacy of Camp 1. Would love to come back again with the family as there is so much space on each site, the long drops were clean as, and we’d like to explore the hiking further as it was quite hot by the time we peeled our bottoms of the camping chairs, and the snakes were out to play! What a great spot. Great hosts and an amazing outlook. Camp #5 is a neat bush setting and mountains in the background. Not far out of Port Augusta but you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere.
