Camper trailers, rooftop tents, and small campervans are suited to the Shady 1 and Shady 2 sites. These two sites are nestled amongst beautiful gums. Caravans and large motorhomes are suited to The Paddock site. The Paddock is an open site near the tourist shop. Perfect for larger set ups and great for solar.
You are free to watch the camels in the paddock from behind the fenceline. If you are after a more up and personal experience with the beautiful beasts, you can book a Morning Milking Tour or a Camel Safari in our electric buggy. Book these experiences on the website www.humpalicious.com.au.
Robe Camel Farm is a very relaxed environment. We will be carrying on daily jobs such as camel feeding, building, training etc. Guests are welcome to participate in daily farm life if they choose to!

A tranquil 10-acre property surrounded by pines on two sides and a small, shire-style suburb at the back. The setting brings great joy and tranquillity, with many birds, and friendly sheep and horses on neighbouring properties.
This beautiful location is just a 30-minute drive to the first winery of the Coonawarra wine region, 20 minutes to the nearest beach at Southend, and not much further to Beachport.
Perfectly central to everything the Limestone Coast has to offer, the property is only an 8-minute drive from the nearest town of Millicent. The magnificent Millicent Golf Course is just a short drive through the pines if that’s your thing.

A very relaxed and well-maintained park with a simple, easy layout. The lawn sites are spacious and there’s plenty of room to unwind. Close enough to Robe for convenience, yet far enough out to enjoy the peace and quiet.

1 night at Robe Camel Farm - Self Contained Campers Only
Cannot say enough good things about this spot.
The paddocks can be tight but for the location it is completely worth it.
Max, one of the farm dogs, was as cute as can be and even with our reactive dog was so submissive and friendly. We were able to join the owner on the nightly feed of the camels and were reminded just how incredible these creatures are! You have to try the camel milk as well. Just google all the benefits! Knowing how well these animals are treated makes it that much more special. Highly, highly recommend and cannot wait to return.

We camped at Shady 2. Quiet and private. Lots of farms life happening around us with bee hives, chickens and peacocks all around. Camel milking tour was fun and interesting. Robe main street very close and easy to access.

No mains water but bore water available.
Approximately 20min drive to Robe.
Quite windy when we were there but you can find some sheltered spots.

We loved our stay at the camel farm. We managed to squeeze our 22foot an in to the shady site 2 but it was a bit of a mission to get out. It was out of the wind and secluded. We went for a walk and met the donkey and pony as well as the camels which made the stay fun!

We really enjoyed this camp spot! Great communication, lots of space to pick a spot for set up. Dog friendly as well, our dog loved having space to do her own thing whilst remaining on lead. Amenities were great as well!

We had a great stay in Shady 1.
Was a bit tricky turning around within the site. I would recommend reversing in to the site if you’re towing a camper longer than 3.5m.
A walk around the camel farm revealed some great surprises, like the peacocks and chooks and a very friendly donkey. And the camels were fabulous!
