We live in a beautiful hidden valley on 30 acres, We're joined by friendly dogs, horses, alpacas, rabbits, guinea pigs, 2 lovely Camels, 2 cheeky pigs, Galloway cows and chooks, along with the resident wildlife including many birds, kangaroos, koalas, shy owls, and even an echidna! All this, plus beautiful views from atop our hills, right to the lake, and the delightful winter creek complete with frogs.
We are close to the McLaren Vale wine region as well as wineries throughout the Hills and 35 minutes to the coast of Victor Harbor. The Greenman Inn is 5 minutes down the road and has wonderful food from Wed to Sun if you do not feel the urge to cook with wood fires for the cold nights or a gorgeous outdoor area for the warmer months.
At present, we offer two areas for camping. Topspot which has lovely views and is quite secluded amongst the tree tops. This site is suitable for tents and camper trailers (need reasonable backing skills and 4WD)
The Laneway which is close to the babbling creek is suitable for those with a small caravan, or motorhome, 2WD etc, along with tent campers. (but would struggle with large caravans/motorhomes - please check with hosts)
(The Lookout/Highview has spectacular views Please note this site is currently closed due to stock rotation.)
If you have any doubts about which to book, please ask.
AUTUMN/WINTER MONTHS: if we receive considerable rain the trek up to the hill sites could become slippery and not accessible as it is a farm paddock, therefore unfortunately your booking may need to be cancelled.
NOTE: On our farm there is limited phone coverage in the valley (The Laneway).
Pets are welcome, however, please ensure they are kept under control (unless discussed with the host) at all times.
Please note: This is an active small farm, therefore work may need be continued throughout your stay possibly necessitating the use of machinery and tending to our livestock. If you wish to see some of the animals up close, please let us know and we will try to accommodate. We ask that all fires be contained within the fire pit provided and a portable toilet is available for your use.
BUSHFIRE SEASON: Wood and open fires are not permitted in the bushfire season, therefore you will not be able to use the fire pits.

Set in a gully with a winter creek (Willow Creek) running through (dry in warmer months). The property offers the best views of Clarendon via a short walk to the top paddock. There is a limit of 2 private, protected campsites near the creek, each well-maintained and level, with scattered gum trees that provide lovely shade in the morning and afternoon.
Camp Toondilla is set up for self-contained campers who bring their own camp toilet and take all waste with them when they go. Well-behaved pets are welcome.

We loved having a van at Steven’s place. Flat, quiet and beautiful trees surrounding. It was a bit tight getting in and out but enough room to manoeuvre once on the flat. Easy walk to town, and short drive to plenty of attractions in the area. Steven was a great help with local knowledge and tips on places to visit.

Had an excellent time at this spot, tucked away on a nicely grassed area. Steve was more than welcoming. There was a zipline and swings for the kids to play and there are also some resident koala’s you can spot in the trees. We would definitely stay again if we head to South Australia again!

What a wonderful place to unwind and just enjoy nature. Beautiful views, glorious night skies and lovely hosts. No noisy boat traffic so you can swim or paddle in tranquillity. Dogs can wander freely so our pup’s thoroughly enjoyed themselves too.

Belinda was amazing! Our wine tasting with her was one of our favourites to date. She is so warm and welcoming and her history with wine and wine making is fascinating. It’s not often you get to do a wine tasting with the wine maker themselves, and the wines were delicious. We bought three bottles! The site is also beautiful nestled in amongst the vines, and location is perfect to access lots of the local wineries

Steve Was a wonderful host land was beautiful and shady plenty of room. Bit tricky to get into but if you follow Steve’s instructions which were great you will be fine. Close enough to Adelaide to enjoy the city but still far enough away to be in piece and quiet

2nd time staying at the Top Spot , just soo beautiful, relaxing, and stress free! Sam is always accommodating, friendly and her home made box of goodies is the best !! One of my favourite spots to camp and I even let hubby and the dog attend this time 🤣

We had a fantastic stay on Warrens land. Fantastic location with stunning views, the orchids and rolling land surrounding a great place to park up.
It’s a short explore into Uraidla.
We also had the pleasure of picking some cherries. Which were the best I’ve ever had. Including the water.

No disappointment once again, had a great time in this beautiful riverfront location.
Weather was again on our side, many hours spent relaxing and cooling off in the river.
Our host Susan is very accomodating and it is such a great location to unwind.

Great location, everything is not too far away! Cute little level patch of grass and very shady. We had a rooftop tent and towed a boat and had no troubles getting in and out of the site.
