Noonameena is a beautiful retreat that feels secluded from the world, yet is just a stones throw from shops, beach, good food and parklands. We offer a number of grassy, level sites, some with shade, others with sun, all with bushland to the rear. There is also a pond/dam area, and lots of wildlife. We have a fire pit for communal use (subject to fire bans and weather conditions).
The kangaroos will come and visit you early in the morning, and in the evening. You will also see lots of different parrots and birds. We even have goannas and echidnas about and the black cockatoos will come in for a visit.
You will need to bring your own camp toilet, as we don't have facilities here.
Pets are welcome but please keep them on a lead at all times as we have lots of wildlife around!
Please note, when we have heavy rain, the ground can get boggy. We are very mindful to keep tabs on the weather for our guests, and will be in good communication with you in the lead up to your stay should we suspect there to be any issues. Whilst camping by the beautiful dam is lovely in fine weather, when it's raining, it’s best to camp towards the front of the property on higher ground. We'll advise the best solution in these circumstances.
LET US KNOW about your preferred booking even if it appears booked out, as we can probably make it work or have ALTERNATIVE solutions for you!

We are only 10-15 mins to Nelson Bay centre.
Beaches are just down the road also which includes Birubi Beach which goes all the way to Stockton and many more near by.
Right next door is Murrays Brewery and Sunset in the Vines, very handy to be able to walk next door (a really short walk) and have dinner and a drink.
Shark and Ray Centre is 10 mins drive also and then there is the Butterfly House and Shark and Ray Rescue Centre just behind us on Marsh Road.
Whilst we offer a space on our front area next to the dam, it is only a small area but plenty of room for a large van or RV with room to put out your awning provided you park where we suggest. We supply a fire pit and wood if you would like, please let us know on arrival or before you arrive so we can have it ready, (this in not an extra it is included in the price). We can offer electricity for an extra cost of $10 per night if needed. The main house is at the top of the circular drive way, you will be camping (Approx 50 m from the house). Pictures show this. We endeavour to appreciate your privacy as much as possible.

The state forest is a short 10min drive away for bush walking, mountain biking and 4 wheel driving. Beach is
40 min drive away. We are located close to the Central Coast and Newcastle. (In Cooranbong )
Some of our camp sites have access to three eco toilets and only one shared shower, rubbish facilities and drinking water. (Campfires) we have 5 fire pits on some of our sites , fires are permitted during the winter months.
We also have 2 x 4 star cabins which sleep 15 between them, they are listed separately on Hipcamp. However the guests from both the camp sites and the cabins have shared access to the pool and facilities. Which includes a large under cover patio area.
FRIENDLY PETS welcome. On certain camp sites ourSmall kitchen with microwave dishwasher and cook top and fridge may be used . Please just clean up any mess you make. For the next guest All cleaning products under sink. WE HAVE 2 DOGS that are people friendly., who love to meet new fury friends , they do have the run of our property .
As our property has a lot of maintenance lawns /gardens ; we may use mowers blowers etc , we will possibly maintain between 10 am to 2 pm If needed.

location, location !! - Michaels Place is 18 acres but mostly bushland, about 5 acres grassed area. It's kind of hidden but central to everything in Lake Munmorah on the central coast . Frazer national park is minutes away. The lake is in walking distance as is bowling club , shopping centre. its off the pacific hwy for you to go whatever direction you wish to explore .
its just me & my daughter, dogs , chickens & birdlife everywhere. help yourself to free range eggs ... cant beat it...

We loved camping here, came as a couple with our small dog and we had a great time. The directions were clear and the site had a great view of the valley. We saw lots of kangaroos and even some deer and had the spot all to ourselves.

A Nice Private tranquil spot.
Carol is a fantastic host. The land is immaculate, the facilities extremely well maintained.
As we were leaving she brought a baby joey over for the kids to see.
Don’t hesitate on this one. A short 1 hour and 45 minute drive for us from the northern beaches. You won’t be disappointed 👍
We camped but very tempted to try a cabin next time as they look great

Great location. The property is on the main road to Nelson's Bay, but you don't really hear the traffic.

We had a great stay at Bonneydoon! The views from the campsite were beautiful and our pup had a great time running around the paddock. It was a very beautiful spot and easy to access with a 2wd. There were some lovely bushwalks and dams on the property. The Big Sherman was our favourite and the 1000 year old fig tree was certainly impressive, although the trail was a bit up and down. Just keep an eye out for leeches, especially on your furry friends. The surrounding campsites weren't booked so we had plenty of space to ourselves which was nice, otherwise there isn't really anything separating them. The compost toilets and showers were fine. There were toilets close to the campsite, but the showers quite a walk so we ended up driving. Thanks Nick and Jane for sharing your beautiful property!

Kez and Butch’s hipcamp is a surprise location. In the middle of Bobs Farm not far from Port Stephens. The site had plenty of room with a dam in front of it. Right next door and within walking distance is a Brewery that is open during the day, but the hidden gem is “Sunset in the vines” restaurant with the most amazing food.. A short drive away is a servo if you need any supplies and Anna bay is only 10 minutes drive. We will definitely stay again. Kez and Butch’s are lovely people to talk to and made us feel welcome.

We really liked Glenworth, very tucked away and serene. Plenty of space and in a lovely setting by the creek with fields of horses around. The facilities are decent for the price although I can see if there’s more people you might be waiting a bit for the shower. Would recommend!

Was looking forward to our booking however we had car issues and unfortunately couldn't make our booking. Andy was super accommodation and even offered us another day to make up for the lost time, very accommodating host!

Total luxury whether camping, caravanning or in a cabin. Must experience this relaxing, rejuvenating, and inspiring place. Best caravan site in over 4 years of our travels.
Beautiful gardens, inviting pool, modern clean amenities, quirky and attention to detail. Not far to beaches, Hunter Valley, national parks and walking trails.
Dee and Carol are wonderful, friendly and generous hosts, thank you for creating this wonderful oasis for everyone to enjoy.
Don’t get me started on the Joeys…..they are rescued by Dee and Carol and it’s a privilege to be able to feed them their bottles and see them on the grounds rehabilitated.
Don’t miss the opportunity to stay here-we will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

We loved camping at glenworth valley. This is our 4th time camping there. Loved watching the horses come in, in the morning and running out in the afternoon. Also seeing lyrebirds in the campsite was really cool and we spotted a goanna too.

Beautiful lush spot by the creek, very green. Lovely peaceful vibe, popular with kangaroos. Host Andy gave us a friendly wave while doing his farm work. Directions are clear, but if you reach the "Private Property" sign, you've gone too far (and the neighbour wasn't too happy about it!)
