We’re just a short drive from the stunning Talia Caves, The Tub, and Talia Beach, known for the Great Australian Bight cliffs and geological formations. Also nearby are Venus Bay and Port Kenny, where you can fish, swim, or launch your boat. Mount Camel Beach and Lake Newland Conservation Park offer more opportunities for beachcombing, photography and wildlife encounters. Our property is located in the town of Fountain, 24kms from Port Lincoln. We are a hobby farm that is set amongst the gum trees and have large spacious sites for you to relax and enjoy. On a clear night, the stars are amazing. We are only a 15 minutes drive from Coffin Bay and its fresh seafood, stunning beaches, fishing and water activities. There are National Parks within easy reach where you can enjoy 4Wdriving, hiking and swimming. Guests are welcome to bring their horses with them for the duration of their stay. Please contact the host beforehand if you would like to bring your horse so we can prepare. We have great horse facilities, including a large sand arena, round yard, yards and places to ride, including a beautiful beach not far from here. Those who would like to come to relax and enjoy peace and serenity are also very welcome. We have a communal fire pit available to use outside of fire restrictions and other pets are also welcome. Campers must be fully self-sufficient with their own camp toilet and must take all waste with them on departure.

We loved having the place to ourselves, picked a spot at the top of the hill as Jenny suggested. The views alone were worth the fees. Would recommend to others that are completely self sufficient and want a place for a base to explore the area.

We loved our stay at Tiatukia campsite by the sea, the views were sensational. We had amazing sunrises over the ocean. It was a short drive into Port Lincoln. Debbie gave us clear instructions and no question was a problem. It was nice to have a good chat to Ashley and get to know a bit about the farm. Highly recommend this property.

One of the best campground and places we stayed on in our 6 months around Australia Trip. The koala are so near and absolutely gorgeous. The communication with the owner are easy and clear. A lot of space and even big caravan will fit. The road is a little bit rough for the last 1km but shouldn't be a problem. Fly's can be annoying but all the rest is just amazing. Highly recommend this place .

Mikkira Koala Sanctuary was an amazing experience, camping in close proximity to Koalas. Listening to them communicate to each other during the night. So special . The property itself is lovely , quite expansive . We wandered around looking for koalas , we must have seen at least 20 individuals during our stay , also enjoying the wild flowers , Large grass trees . Loads of kangaroos and some emu. If you have overseas visitors it’s a must visit . Thanks Helen for hosting us . A 5 star experience.

If you’re looking for a caravan park experience, this isn’t the place to find it. Yes the roads a bit rough, and the toilets are basic - at least they flush! But if you’re after the most wonderful wildlife experience - this is where you’ll find it. Koalas everywhere you look. Wild free koalas doing koala stuff. Not to mention the roos, emus, birds and lizards. Huge camping areas, with fire pots scattered (bring your own firewood). This place is absolutely magical.

This place was amazing kangaroos and emus everywhere. But when it comes to koala's. You had to look for lump in the tree. Then there was another in next tree and the next tree they were everywhere. Up high down low and waddling across the ground. Well worth the 16 km of dirt road to get there. Recommend this place 100%... will return again to walk and explore the history on this wonderful sanctuary.

A picture perfect campsite so secluded and so incredibly beautiful. We didn’t see a koala however loved watching the kangaroos at play and the spectacular colours of the many varieties of birds. My favi part was being immersed in the stars. It was like standing in a fish bowl with stars covering you from your feet until as high as you can see. Spectacular experience. Thank you

We enjoyed our overnight stay at Tiatukia. The views are spectacular. There was lots of open space and strategically placed stacks of hay bales providing both protection from the wind and privacy from the other sites. We had a toasty little campfire in the evening. The hosts are delightful and provided clear directions to the campsite and were very responsive with all communications.

Absolutely lovely stay here. We had Paul the Owner take us around the property to the cliff tops. Paul and his Wife Kristina are working hard to do up the property. So much space to camp and have campfires in the right season. Great spot to use as a base to look around the area. Differently would love to come back.

There are very few places in the world, you can be sitting by a fire, having a morning cuppa and watching a koala walk by, another in the tree behind you eating, 2 kangaroos boxing, while another 20plus watch and the sounds of the Lincoln Parrots and Galahs chattering away in the trees. A magical place!

Enjoyed the wildlife & being able to see the koalas up close. Peaceful camp site until the weather turned a bit pear shaped on us (gusty winds that’s rocked the camper really badly). Not a negative about the campsite - just unlucky with the weather. Would definitely go back if we were in that part of the country.
