Set in a peaceful valley surrounded by native bushland, this 10-acre property offers the perfect balance of serenity and adventure. Just a short 10-minute drive from Port Lincoln, it feels a world away—offering hipcampers the ideal mix of seclusion and convenience. The landscape features open clearings, gentle rises, and shaded pockets beneath scattered eucalypts—perfect for pitching a tent or parking your van. Birdlife is abundant, and on still mornings, the only sound is the breeze rustling through the trees. Whether you're stargazing by the fire or watching the light shift across the valley at dusk, this is a place to slow down and truly reconnect with nature. Steeped in local history, the property was the first to be established in the area and was once used for commercial beekeeping. The original house on the site has its own unique story—it was formerly the Post Office building from Maralinga, relocated here in the 1970s.

Site 1 is a generally flat site over looking scrub and the dam. It is drive through and has a fire pit. Access to a flushing toilet in the nearby shed. 4wd required for access following periods of heavy rainfall.

The Orchard
This is a wonderful spot. The site is peaceful and quiet. The birdlife is incredible. And it is 10 minutes to Port Lincoln by car. We stayed for 5 nights and could easily have stayed longer.

Beautiful property with birds and scenery, but the lack of signage and hosting made this camp feel like pulling into a random’s backyard unannounced and setting up. Needs a little more to make this feel more welcoming but nonetheless in a good location.

Grateful to have a place to stay near Port Lincoln during this busy season, but some aspects of this camp left a fair bit to be desired. The instructions were unclear (drive past the shed and turn left?) that’s where the house is… the campsite was on the right. Signage would have been helpful. Says meet host on arrival; didn’t come out to greet us. The toilet had half a roll of paper and no light. Overall the property is beautiful with birds and scenery, but I think a little more effort needs to go into to it to make it nicer and a bit more visitor friendly. It honestly felt like we were just driving into someone’s backyard and camping there… a bit of an odd feeling.

This is a wonderful spot just outside Port Lincoln on a billabong with incredible bird life. Sheltered away from the offshore winds and so peaceful. We spent Christmas here in our caravan with two friends in their T Van and our sons in a tent. We had the whole place to ourselves. It was wonderful. Highly recommend.

The Dam View campsite was peaceful with beautiful views, especially at sunset. Luke was a lovely host and even shared some cool history about the property and he also gifted us some fresh eggs from his chickens! Plenty of room & a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy nature.
