Our property is located in the rocky outcrops of the Bremer Ranges and is on the Bremer River in Rockleigh. This site was once a overnight yard for the sheep farmers who were passing through the area. We have three separate locations for campers to choose from. The Gums- surrounded by small gum trees right near the Bremer River. The Carob- this site is situated further back from the river and is surrounded by mulberry trees. Lastly we have The Sticks- this site is behind the scrubby bushed and requires tight access and is more suited to tents and swags. The decent into camp is quite narrow and steep so please drive carefully. We are 45 minute drive from the Lavender Federation Trail which is a popular walking track in the region. We are only 30 minutes drive from Monarto Conservation Park which is a popular spot for walking trails and picnics. Monarto is also home to a Safari Park which is the largest Safari Park in Australia and home to lots of interesting animals. We have 2 toilets available but please BYO toilet paper. Sorry, no pets. Please note that Pymbroke is in the Murraylands zone & fire danger season starts early. 1st November 2025.

The Riverland is an amazing place to visit, full of so many surprises! The variety in the landscape, from harsh limestone plains to beautiful rolling sandhills, to the beauty of the Murry River. There is so much wildlife to see especially when it comes to bird watching! And the area is full of history! In every town you will discover many historical facts and buildings, machines etc. We even have histroy right here on our property!-ruins of an old school. Oh, do I hear you love taking your horse out for trail rides? Well, here's the perfect place for that too! At the campsite - approx 2km away from the farmhouse - you have the privilege of being surrounded by natural scrublands and habitats on the plains. See our mallee, acacias, sugar woods, grevilleas, honeyeaters, wrens, finches, kangaroos, emus & more. And don't forget the stars!! Our night sky is amazing due to very low light interference. At times, wake up to the sounds of sheep bleating and drinking from the trough a few hundred meters away. We have a central campfire area for each site and a double sink connected to river water for washing up and a large prep area on sites 1 & 2. Also on site 1 & 2, just a short walk from the camp fire is an outdoor flushing toilet with hand basin-a luxury for a station stay! Often there are things happening on the farm. Feel welcome to ask if there is anything you can be a part of to add to your holiday experience! We may be moving sheep, shearing, crutching, fencing, feeding the farm animals, milking our house goats etc. Even come for a horse ride (further info in 'Extras")! Well behaved dogs are welcome, but please discuss this with us prior to booking and they must be on a lead at all time. Sites are family friendly. The camp was awesome, we stayed in The Carobs. The sites are closer together than I expected but we were lucky enough to have the whole camp to ourselves for most of our stay! The range of fire pits Rodney had available to borrow was awesome and having wood on site for $20 was convenient!

1 night at Pymbroke Camp

We had The Gums - and the rest of the camping areas all to ourselves - and it was very peaceful - with fabulous birdlife chattering, feeding, squawking - set up camp right by the creek, watched the sun go down behind an old gum tree on the bank and watched the sun rise light onto the same bank. We rolled the portable fire out to where we we had set up camp, and the very clean long drop was in walking distance, but far enough away, to where we camped.

The place is very beautiful and quiet, with the sites widely spaced, allowing for privacy between visitors. The entrance path is quite rocky and steep, so you should take it slowly and carefully. I would recommend this place for a night or a weekend getaway.

7 nights at The Valley of Eden - Barossa

Very peaceful. Cows very curious and nice to observe . Discovered they like to eat charcoal to aid their gut health . Had them literally standing in our firepit crunching away on the cold coals whilst we we were sitting in our chairs only 2 metres away. On several occasions we were faced with 20 or more very curious cows surrounding our van so close you could hear them breathe and eat . Lots of birds and their songs. Galahs nesting in the big gums nearby. Woken by a lovely massed choir of magpies on some mornings. A mob of kangaroos in the top paddock. Some visited our camp in the mornings. Creek was running and we saw 3 turtles and a striped eel and plenty of ducks. So if you like to sit and observe nature in peace and tranquillity this is a great place to do it . Ps watching mobs of sheep being herded down the road by a farm worker and their dog is a plus .

This was my third trip to Gum gully and we had an absolute blast. Rob & Jo were as always very welcoming to us all. Highly recommend anyone looking to escape from.the city, get out to some lovely quiet with amazing hiking trails give them a shot :)
