We have a selection of beautiful creek side locations where you can enjoy the clear, fresh running water and a selection of other sites only a short walk from the water. Conveniently located just a short drive off the Bruce Highway our sites are not designated, you choose your own on arrival KIDS UNDER 17 STAY FREE! MAX 2 ADULTS PER SITE! If coming with additional adults you MUST booking another site. While staying, you will have the opportunity to take a walk into the past to view a private collection of Australiana, including a working stationary, engine display and vintage kitchen with wood stoves. I really enjoyed my stay here and will definitely be back! On arrival both my dog and I were taken around on a buggy for a little tour to show us the grounds and choose our spot. The creek was beautiful, with both shallow areas and deeper areas. The property is large enough that you can find your own private space if you prefer, however I enjoyed making friends with the other campers. I was shocked at how amazingly clean and decorated the bathroom was, with attention to every detail. And the added bonus of the antiques was absolutely fantastic, I found it very interesting to explore and take some cool photos.

Wow. What an amazing camp ground. Especially parking beside the River. Add bonus is a toilet which is very clean. Having free kayaks and push bikes is awesome too. Having a camp fire is wonderful. Definitely will be back.

We camped on site 2/3 & 4 with a group of friends, this place is second to none. The facilities are amazing & the staff are delightful. We were travelling with dogs & the k9’s were well received. This place offers a range of accommodation from tenting/caravan sites with power if you need it , as well as Glamping/cabins./treetop accommodation. We loved this place so much that we booked another stay before we left.

Absolutely beautiful spot and so close to Mackay! We ducked up just for the weekend with our newborn and toddler and we had a blast. Such a spacious area so you can have your own site away from other campers. So much shade, fire pits layed out everywhere, a beautiful creek and bikes and kayaks available for use. We will definitely be back 🌞🧡🛶 Sue was just lovely x

Well set up, friendly and responsive hosts. We loved that you could choose your own spot and there weren't designated spots which can get cramped when busy. Some permanents living there but away from the camping area. We were lucky to be the only ones there. Small creek to cross on entrance so be mindful before booking if theres been heavy rain. Definitely recommend, thanks for having us!

We loved the whole set out very spacious and the creek was refreshing. It was great they provided kayaks and bikes. Nice and peaceful and close to the town if you wanted to duck in for a pub meal. Hosts also checked to make sure we were happy while there.

This is an absolute gem. Beautiful spot in the untouched forrest of Finch Hatton Gorge. Easy access with our caravan and the sites are very generous is size with power ,water and your own shelter to use. Beautiful outdoor/ forest showers and toilets with a view. We loved the fresh water creeks running and the quiet surroundings. The owner Shane was very helpful ,friendly and easy to talk to. Would highly recommend this spot

We recently stayed at this incredible Platypus Bush camp by the creek, and it was an unforgettable experience. The tree houses are absolutely magical—nestled in the trees with just the right mix of comfort and rustic charm. Ours had a spacious king bed that made it feel more like a boutique retreat than a campsite. The creek itself is the real highlight. The camp spots sit right along the water, giving you peaceful views and the calming sound of running water all day and night. Whether you're relaxing in a chair by the creek or waking up to the soft morning light filtering through the trees, the whole place feels serene and refreshing. Everything is well maintained, clean, and thoughtfully laid out. It’s the perfect spot for anyone looking to relax, recharge, and enjoy nature without sacrificing comfort. Highly recommend—this is one of those hidden gems you’ll want to visit again and again!

We stayed in the horse paddock i think they called it and it was absolutely beautiful. We drove up to the lookout and omg it was spectacular. The swimming areas were beautiful. And the caretaker lady was absolutely beautiful and so helpful when you arrive. The place is absolutely beautiful and we would definitely recommend to other people.
