The property is situated on 50 acres, with breathtaking elevated views of Mount Mee, Mount Glorious and surrounded by bush land.

The campsites on this property are positioned in the bush, so that people can have their privacy away from other campers.
 Access to all bush camp sites are with 4WD vehicles ONLY.
Sorry no caravans and only off road camper trailers are suitable, due to the terrain and the track is steep in places.

There is a creek within a 5 min drive off the property, situated at Lees Crossing Road. Also an approx 20 min drive will take you to Cedar Creek
 Falls and D'aigullar National Park.

Children under the age of 13 camp at kids prices. Well behaved pets are welcome.

We are situated approx 10 mins from the delightful Dayboro Township and approx 20 mins from the quaint township of Samford.
Brisbane CBD is approx 40kms away.

The Rustic Resort Wamuran


 4WD accessibility only. The only exception to the 4WD accessibility is the 'Dam at the Rustic Resort' as it has a separate entry gate.

 If wet, please engage 4WD and stay out of the ruts. 

We are a 90acre private property who raise cattle and goats and have opened up to campers who, like us, prefer and love peace and nature. 

We have all of our sites on Booking request ( Reserve). Please check that you are ok with our property rules before you book.

If you are one of our valued regulars, thank you, we love hosting you on the property and always look forward to see you again. If your preferred site is not available , shoot us a message , we  may have an alternative for you:)

Our rules are really not rocket science, don't take things that are not yours, use the toilets instead of our bush, don't cut down trees or damage things, that includes damaging trees, don't leave anything but ash in the firepit ,make sure the fire is fully extinguished, remove your rubbish and respect and consider your fellow campers and our neighbours. 

Axe throwing has recently become popular within the city, if you must try it on the property , bring a board, our trees are not to be used as targets. 

Stay out of our gated paddocks. This is for Biosecurity and your safety.

 We are trying to create peace and tranquility that people crave so much when they get out of their busy lives.  We are not the place for rowdy parties or large groups  ( unless you would like to book out the entire property)  

 Most of our sites are nestled on different levels between trees and bush  so you will feel like you are the only ones there. 

You are welcome to have a campfire in the provided fire pit or drum when there is no fire ban in place, however due to the unique surroundings we offer, we  do require you to be extra vigilant with fire safety.

You are most welcome to use your own off the ground firepit anywhere in your site. 

Please read site descriptions carefully as we have sites that are substantially different in access, privacy , level ground and distance to a toilet. 

We affectionately call our property "The Rustic Resort". This is a tribute to the rusty water tanks and dilapidated animal shelters that were left behind when we moved in. Our farm was once part of a thriving rural property in the 1920's. It used to be a dairy farm and then a banana farm. We now raise goats and cattle.  

Our property is dog friendly to responsible dog owners, we are happy for your pups to be off lead as long as you are the one in control. 

We have a large farm dam that never runs dry, (NO fishing please as we use this for livestock and swimming, and the last thing we need is hooks in peoples or animals feet. )

 It is wonderful for a refreshing swim, there is a ladder to make it easier to get into the dam and during the summer months there are floating noodles for your use. Feel free to bring your paddle boards  and canoes.

We are centrally located to explore the Glass house mountains ( 20mins), Stoney creek (15min), Rocky holes (35min), Bribie island (40 min), Woodford (10min), Mt Mee (10min), Montville, Maleny (40min) and much, much more.

We are 10 minutes from Woodford and the wonderful Woodford Folk Festival.

"White Ridge Farm" in Elimbah  is only 20 minutes from us, and the kids will love the interactive farm experience and cuddling the baby animals. 

Wamuran town centre has has an IGA, a wonderful butcher, bakery,  bottle shop,  24 hour servo, a rural supply shop,  fish and chip shop, a new pizza place and a Thai/Indian take away that is sensational.

Wamuran holds a local country market every 4th Saturday per month from 7am to midday.

There is a Woodfire pizza van in town  2 out of 4 weekends, look up Deadwood Pizza Wamuran to check the dates. We love them.

If you would like to stay longer but feel like you need a shower occasionally, there is a public pool in Woodford and a public pool on King Street towards Caboolture , both are about a 10/15 minute drive from us. 

Wamuran is less than an hour north from the city, yet you will feel like you are far away.

Turkey's Nest Rainforest Cottages

Escape to a private cottage in the rainforest, with a cosy wood fire, views to the forest and birds visiting your verandah. 

Take a rainforest walk, stop at the local cafe, then back to your cottage for a massage, reading a book, sipping wine, a romantic candlelit meal, port and chocolates - how much more relaxing can it get? 

These are cottages only (no camping). Our cottages are fully self-contained with cooking facilities, full bathroom, fireplaces, verandah overlooking the forest, comfortable beds and all linen provided.

Mount Glorious has a cafe and a restaurant open during the day. There is no evening dining. A local chef will provide meals to your cottage (prior bookings necessary). Contact us for details.

Turkey's Nest is just 40km from Brisbane CBD - close to the city, yet a world away! Turkey's Nest is a wildlife refuge under the Land for Wildlife scheme, pets are not permitted.

Lakeview

Lakeview is situated near the seaside village of Beachmere on just under 50 picturesque acres of Australian bushland, 45 minutes from the Brisbane CBD and 10 minutes off the Bruce Highway.

Experience the stunning vistas by the three billabongs while nestled in nature. Take nature walks, canoe and swim. Enjoy the flora, native animals and abundant birdlife or just relax by the campfire with the cooling sea breezes to add to the comfort and laid back lifestyle beside your own private open fire.

You can have the best of both worlds, the bush on one hand and the bay on the other with Caboolture River boat ramp just 5 minutes away, giving you access to Moreton Bay. So why not kick back and relax away from the stress of city life.

Lakeview is a private property not a commercial business, Lakeview is suitable for self-sufficient campers. There are no amenities, so you need to bring or hire your own. All payments are accepted as a donation to help maintain the grounds for our extended Lakeview family.

Wild Horse Retreat

Welcoming you to our 100 acre horse property nestled in the Glasshouse Mountains, with a creek and a lake. Featuring a mix of pine and natural forest, this off grid campsite has a lovely flat space for camping. 

Drinking water and toilet amenities are available, and we welcome well behaved dogs on leashes as well as a place to stay for your beloved horse (please note an additional horse facility fee will be charged). *While we don't have water hookups, we can fill water tanks.

The Glass House Mountains are found in the hinterland of Queensland's Sunshine Coast. They are about a one-hour drive south of the Sunshine Coast's main hub, Noosa, or an hour north of the state's capital city, Brisbane. 

The region is a natural playground of walking tracks, horse trails and abseiling locations, the mountains are also home to six small townships, linked by rail and country roads. 

Please note there is highway noise at this site.
