You are welcome to choose your preferred spot. There's lots of tall trees for shade and the grass is lush and soft. There is a fire pit (when fires are permitted) so bring marshmallows to toast for the children. This campsite suits self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower. There is access to water but no rubbish facilities are available. All rubbish has to go home with you We have lots of wildlife in particular birds, hence dogs need to be on a leashes at all times. We are located half way between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, with the bush giving our property great privacy. There is lots of opportunity for bush walking. Prospective campers have to get on site by daylight, as there are no dedicated spots and access could be difficult. Pets on leashes welcome.

Forest Nook is a private and secluded get away that feels disconnected from society, but is only 45 minutes away from the Gold Coast. Just 20 minutes away is Lamington National Park. Whether for a small gathering of friends or a family get away, this beautiful private nature retreat will provide the peace and quiet you’ve been craving. At the moment the land is undeveloped, you will need to bring all your own supplies, water, camper or tent. Firewood can be found on the land. What a beautiful part of the world. Thank you Clair and Andrew for openjng it up for us. Clair and Andrew are amazing hosts. There is nothing to worry about, they have thought of everything. Access is easy, the camping spot beautiful. Truely nature lovers, the farm is great to wander through and the opportunity to enjoy a secluded part of Cedar Creek is very special. We took our doggos and they had the time of their lives. Do yourself a favour and let Clair prepare a fresh vegetable box with eggs. All from the farm. Sigh, it was hard to leave. But luckily it so close to Brisbane well just have to come back.

Such a lovely spot to stay. We only went for 1 night and wish we had stayed longer. It is a quiet hidden oasis and the hosts were friendly and welcoming. Only a short drive into Samford village for a meal, a little waterhole for the pugs to swim. Couldn’t ask for any more.

Friendly welcome, then left to ourselves. exactly what we were looking for. Nice clean spot between well kept horse paddocks and small creek on nice grass. We were hit by a thunderstorm and hail and were checked via the app if we were alright and invited into shelter if we needed which was a lovely touch.

We went to Hideaway Hollow after 4 gruelling and exhausting weeks. We just needed to stop and ‘veg’ out. Hideaway Hollow provided us with privacy and sanctuary. The host is lovely! She has ‘rules’ but nothing unusual or onerous, just like any other campsite. Be respectful of the environment! The bird life was amazing! So many beautiful birds. Our only regret is that we couldn’t spend more time.

We only stayed here for one night to break up a long road trip and chose it due to it being dog friendly and pretty close to the Gold Coast. The rainforest setting was lovely and the hosts were friendly. The camping area is quite small, which was fine for us as our set up is just a car with roof top tent, and there were no other campers. Would happily stay again if visiting the same area.

AWESOME location, tranquil, peaceful and very foresty... We met Anita, lovely conversation about there camp sites. Our camp was DRY RAINFOREST GROVE. Quite private and we could hear the lovely bird life afternoon and early morning. Our first night, around 9 pm we heard a God ol'mighty sound from the forest ? After capturing the sound we discovered it well may have been a male Koala calling as it is now mating season, absolutely certain this was the sound. Recommend this camp. Well done Anita and Peter. 3 nights at Clonakilty Farm

We had a wonderful, quiet, relaxing and sole restoring camping stay at Clonakilty Farm. So peaceful with lots of different visual aspects to soak up and a variety of settings to explore in if one is so inclined. We really enjoyed watching Kevin (the horse) practising his mustering manoeuvres - I think we were very lucky that our stay coincided with practice day. We would have loved to have seen more of the farm dogs - so well behaved, friendly and full of character. We felt very welcomed on the farm and we had wonder freedom to explore the working property - which is much bigger than I expected. So close to Brisbane (40mins away for us Northsiders) and only 10mins from Samford. We will be back to l the Farm again and again and again in the future. Thanks Clair - see you sooner rather than later.

Leanne is a wonderful host. We were greated with an enthusiastic smile and gift hamper. We had the site closest to the road, it was a lovely protected spot along the tree line. There is an expansive grassed area for the kids to run around, and enough to explore. It is quiet and serene, but an easy drive into Samford Village.

Loved our stay with our dogs at the Enchanted Paddock. It was quiet & very private tucked away down the bottom of the property in the Hideaway Hollow site. Beautiful at night with the fairy lights in the trees overlooking the lovely grass paddock. Great location being close to Samford & Brisbane with plenty of things to do.
