We have a selection of beautiful creek side locations where you can enjoy the clear, fresh running water and a selection of other sites only a short walk from the water. Conveniently located just a short drive off the Bruce Highway our sites are not designated, you choose your own on arrival KIDS UNDER 17 STAY FREE! MAX 2 ADULTS PER SITE! If coming with additional adults you MUST booking another site. While staying, you will have the opportunity to take a walk into the past to view a private collection of Australiana, including a working stationary, engine display and vintage kitchen with wood stoves. Access to the property is via a creek crossing so it is advisable to phone ahead if there has been recent rain or rainfall is forecast. Toilets are located on the property but campers will need their own shower facilities and take all waste with them on departure. Campfires are permitted but must be contained at all times in a fire pits that we also have for your use, we also sell firewood at $15 for a milk crate. Calen is a small cane growing and cattle town with a general store, pharmacy, service station, butcher and the local pub. Zarby's cafe is a short drive away if you would like to dine in for breakfast or lunch in a retro style setting. Each site fee is for 2 adults and kids stay at no cost. Pets are welcome.

QUIET, and NATURALLY BEAUTIFUL. 7 camp sites to cater for a relaxing self contained getaway. The beach track has good 4WD access and is very quiet with secluded private camp sites along the track. Group site is set back 50m from the beach and can only be booked by 1 group at a time. It is a large flat area suitable for those traveling with friends. Please message us any questions you may have prior to booking to see what site is best suitable to your camping needs. The diversity of the property showcases an amazing variety of vegitation, birdlife, and buterflies. Many walking trails allow for bird watchers and photographers to explore the wide diversity at Tide Water Park. I'm sorry to all, we have to reiterate this, but we have to due to some filthy campers. NO TOILET, NO ENTRY. We are disgusted to have to pick up used toilet paper. Sorry for the bluntness. A shovel does not cover as a toilet! Our place is a beautiful place and we will not allow this kind of degradation. The Beach is classified as a Green zone under Qld law which means fishing is excluded along the beach. You can fish at the creek mouth to the north. There is also creek access through the property but no camping there. A small boat can be launched and retrieved. Self sufficient camping only. No toilets, showers, dump points or power provided at this time. Horse yards are available if you wish to bring your horse for rides along the beach, obviously all at your own risk. Well behaved, quiet dogs are allowed, and must be kept within the campsite unless your walking them. Be respectful of others. Things to do here include, beach access (walks, drives), horse riding, bird watching, Fishing, Crabbing, A small wet land walk. Or just sit back and watch the beach change with the tide. What to bring and not bring, Insect repellent or be prepared to cover up when sandflies and midges are out. Torches, Sunscreen, rubbish bags. No hunting allowed, No ATV's, side by sides, drones, guns or chainsaws. Generator usage only in the afternoon and early evening. Fruit Farm Camp offers a peaceful retreat for mature travellers. The unpowered mown campsites are situated ajacent to a farm unfenced dam and on cleared acreage surrounded by natural bush. After 6 months touring Queensland in 2021 with our own caravan, we decided to develop a picturesque area at the back of our land for mature travellers to enjoy. 20 Years ago the land was virgin scrub, now there are over 300 established different exotic fruit, nut, spice and bush tucker trees and plants. We use a number of different farming techniques. Our own beehives provide pollination and honey. A small farm produce shop is available. Guests have access to a toilet, solar powered showers and the camp kitchen throughout their stay. Campfires are permitted outside of restrictions and we have firewood available for guests to use on site. There is a 1.5 km undulating bush walk on the property requiring average fitness. We are located four kilometres from the Bruce Highway at Bloomsbury, access is via sealed road then 300m of gravel road through the farm. We are just 10 mins from the beach or O'Connell river fishing, 1 hour to Mackay or Airlie Beach, 3 kms to the Dittman Bullarama site and 15 minutes to Bredls Wild Farm. Well behaved pets are welcome. There is 1 island group within Repulse Bay - the Repulse Islands & 2 other islands - Midge Island & Gould Island plus a multitude of estuary creeks and rivers. All are accessible by tinny from Midge Point. Our camp/caravan site is level with shaded areas and water available. It is a 2-minute walk to the water. Pets are welcome. There is plenty of firewood and a brazier on site for evening campfires and cooking. Midge Point has a small shopping centre, post office and tavern bistro. Beautiful beaches with some of the best fishing and crabbing in the region. Keen anglers now have the availability of the newly constructed boat ramp, off Jimmy Rocks Road. All are only 5 minutes down the road. Airlie Beach is only 45 minutes away, with access to the islands and reef. The airport is only 20 minutes away and a further 5 minutes to Proserpine.

It pains me to recommend this place as I honestly don’t want to share it haha… such an absolute gem of a place. Our family can’t recommend this spot any more highly. One of the stand outs has to be the distance between sites. Even fully booked you wouldn’t feel in any way crowded in. The hosts are lovely and friendly. The beach is stunning and the turtles were a really special treat. The river is great for fishing and even better for crabbing , we got two massive bucks ! I would implore visitors to be respectful and sensible as I would hate for a few campers to ruin it for the rest of us. This area is a special slice of paradise and we are all lucky the owners are willing to share it with us all. Leave it as you found it or better. Thanks Claire, Paul , Jade , site inspector Rep and the other friendly doggos for making our visit so lovely .

Absolutely beautiful spot and so close to Mackay! We ducked up just for the weekend with our newborn and toddler and we had a blast. Such a spacious area so you can have your own site away from other campers. So much shade, fire pits layed out everywhere, a beautiful creek and bikes and kayaks available for use. We will definitely be back 🌞🧡🛶 Sue was just lovely x

Well set up, friendly and responsive hosts. We loved that you could choose your own spot and there weren't designated spots which can get cramped when busy. Some permanents living there but away from the camping area. We were lucky to be the only ones there. Small creek to cross on entrance so be mindful before booking if theres been heavy rain. Definitely recommend, thanks for having us!

We loved the whole set out very spacious and the creek was refreshing. It was great they provided kayaks and bikes. Nice and peaceful and close to the town if you wanted to duck in for a pub meal. Hosts also checked to make sure we were happy while there.

We stayed in the horse paddock i think they called it and it was absolutely beautiful. We drove up to the lookout and omg it was spectacular. The swimming areas were beautiful. And the caretaker lady was absolutely beautiful and so helpful when you arrive. The place is absolutely beautiful and we would definitely recommend to other people.
