Leander is a goat property located on a red sand ridge about 25 kilometres from Longreach, Qld. Toby, Georgia, and their two kids farm Rangeland/Boer Goats and also have a small herd of Wagyu cows.
The site is completely self-sufficient with no amenities, so please make sure this suits your camping setup.
Please note this is a working property - there may be stock around and there is lots of native wildlife. Pets are welcome but we ask you be mindful and they be kept on a leash at all times. We also request you do not go exploring on your own. If you would like a tour, please ask - we'd love to show you around.

Close to everything. Went out of tourist season, also fuel prices incredibly high (thanks Donald), so not many people there. Pool was nice, very refreshing.

Camping at Leander Station was amazing! It was exactly what we expected and more! Quiet, stunning view and freedom!

The view,the sunrise and sunsets are just spectacular.

We loved our stay at Leander Lookout. It was so peaceful and the views were amazing. The sunset was gorgeous. Georgia and Toby stopped by for a chat and were very nice. If we’re in the area, we would certainly stay again.

What a fantastic spot!! We absolutely loved it. If you're after complete privacy and seclusion while camping, this is for you. We relaxed and played board games, and at night watched the zillions of stars, comets and satellites out there. We will miss it dearly until we come back!! Hosts Toby amd Georgia are awesome and brought us fruits and some meat to sample, and showed our kids the goats and horses. Thank you so so SO much to the Whips for sharing your paradise with us.
