Spacious, level camping well-suited for travel trailers over 40 ft long.
With 14 exclusive sites, this is a perfectly safe and convenient haven to base while you visit all that Western Queensland has to offer. We offer a bundle of campfire wood for $20. Longreach is only 10 km away. The sites are 15 amp powered and under the cover of a large hay barn. Showers (4) and Toilets (4) are available. Campfires are welcome when there are no restrictions in place, please keep them contained and ensure they are completely out before leaving them unattended. Tours of the station are separate and available on certain days on request via outbackdan@camdenparkstation.com.au Pets are welcome, please keep them under control and clean up after them.

We loved the peace, tranquility and privacy, as there was no other campers when we stayed, we even had a fire one night and did some star gazing. Looking out to the vast fields in every direction was a highlight, especially during sunset. Very friendly dog to come greet us each time we returned back. Amenities were great, and an easy walk not too far away. Enjoyed being under cover so we could escape some of the heat from the sun. An easy drive off the highway with only 1 gate to open and close, and just a short drive to town.

James and James jrn are fantastic. The site is under a high tin roof with bright lighting if needed. Shower and toilets are fine. Be aware bore water has a smell but it’s fine. Don’t forget where you are!! The shade was a bonus, unusually hot at the moment. Fantastic sunsets and night sky star gazing

A unique and dog friendly site

Site 7 - Longreach Camden Park Station
We tent camped at Camden Park Station with our two dogs for two nights. Loved it! Being under the barn roof meant shade during the day, plus a storm passed over and we got the atmosphere of it but not a drop on our tent. Spectacular sunrises and sunsets and so much sky, lots of stars. Toilet and shower blocks plus a sink to wash our dishes were all functional and good standard. A welcoming party of a lovely dog and his buddy a little spotty pig was very entertaining. They were friendly and our dogs played with the dog nicely while the pig hung around us for belly scratches. We saw emus and some birds of prey, even a group of goats. We walked our dogs around some paddocks but mainly the tracks to dodge the prickles. We would stay here again , and recommend it to other campers. We liked having site 7 at the end of the barn shelter, looking out over the paddocks.

We never met our hosts, however we only stayed one night. We had to share our bay (4) we were allocated with another camper and van, as he rang the host and was not given a bay, so came in with us as it was easier. Apart that it was a safe place to park overnight.

Absolutely LOVED our stay here! Very basic concept of 'show-yourself-in' and 'sort-yourselves-out' … but that suits us perfectly. HUGE undercover sites, incredible dark skies, and an adorable doggie welcome as you arrive. We mooched around, flew the kite, walked out to the dam, fed the horses and absorbed the 'vastness'. We really loved it here 🥰❤️

A wonderful place to stay. With skys that go on forever. Under a big shed roof on dirt 7 spots are a little tight but great. Toliet and showers x 4. Are adequate no luxury but do the job. Would stay again just for the sunsets. And peaceful location. Memorable place

Our experience was a little flat. The sites are close & no privacy, you are forced to be a friendly neighbour. The lighting in the barn & toilets is very unnecessary. We were disappointed as we had no response /communication from the owner and we were not sure if we were able to turn them off. It was great to be able to stay just not a marvellous experience, it has a lot of potential.

it was double booked and we had to set up on the edge if roadways as their was nobody about to help us and when they did come around chose nit to approach us. very poor management. otherwise looked like it was a good spot

The booking site is confusing as it says 14 sites but you are only able to book up to seven. You are camped lined up next to your neighbour under a big shed, not too bad from a shade point of view as there are no trees to camp under. The lights are very bright & quite unnecessary. There was no communication as to who turns the lights off & on. We only happen to hear this info from one of the other campers. Very poor communication with the owner as our messages through Hipcamp went unanswered. Facilities very average but better than none. Yes better than a caravan park if you like to camp with a fire.

I could not see the point - packed in under the hay shed very close to other campers. The homestead looked messy from the camp site. Unwelcoming and no effort to add the ambiance we were hoping of a station Vs free camping. Everywhere is dry and dusty but that’s ok - better at Apex Park IMO. We had paid for 2 nights but decided to move on.

We loved it! Such a unique setting. You're literally nestled in the farm with the cows and horses. Even parked next to one of their graders to feel part of the farm feel. Amenities were well maintained and the powered site was great while you're under the shed and don't have solar.

Great site out of town. Hipcamp booking page a bit confusing as said 14 sites (7 caravan/7 tent) or appeared that way. I could select either caravan or tent sites. When arrived asked about tent site I booked. People there said no tent sites just everyone under one shed with caravaners. Allowed us to camp away from shed near a tree which suited us just fine.

Lovely station stay...loved the visit from Ollie the Lab. Only downside being school holidays...7 sites but about 12 rigs set up with only 3 toilets working...no locks on doors. Good location...close to Longreach and good road in

We had the most fabulous stay at Camden Park Station. Great protection under the big shed with endless views. We watched a beautiful sunset, surrounded by cattle, a few horses and ouf course the station manager, Oliver (a gorgeous chocolate Labrador). The facilities were wonderfully clean and very much appreciated. They were well appointed little ensuites with hot water showers. Easy access to Longreach, but far enough out of town to truly unwind. Thank you so much, we hope to return one day.

Great place to pull up for a few nights and check out what’s on offer at LR. Ollie the dog will host you from sunrise to dark, paid in pats and t bone bones. Property had rich history, but unknown as we were unable to get Dan to give us a tour and Jame’s is MIA. We don’t mind the lack of hosting but others may find this frustrating. Beautiful sunsets, quiet and amenities are clean. If you want luxury - head to the caravan parks but if you want rustic and memories - head here.

More sign posting needed. Not sure where we were going. Need a blue metal path to toilets and showers. Maybe get rid of chipboard vanity and put a stainless steel metal shelf to put your stuff on.
