Grass Trees Campground sits high on one of the region’s tallest mountain tops, offering sweeping views over Agnes Water, the 1770 Estuary and sandbar, Bustard Bay, and Eurimbula National Park. Sunrises and sunsets here are nothing short of spectacular. Choose from 20 unpowered sites or glamping tents—ideal for those who want the camping experience without the gear. On-site amenities include a new toilet and shower block, camp kitchen, communal firepit, wood-fired pizza oven, and a magnesium swimming pool. As a wildlife sanctuary, no pets are allowed.
1770 Eco Camp, located at the base of the mountain and just 2 minutes from town, offers a peaceful bushland escape. Camp under the stars or opt for a glamping tent surrounded by tropical gardens and freshwater dams. You'll be sitting amongst the Australian bush with a white sandy river only a hop, jump and skip away. Walking tracks that meander through a scenic reserve to a headland with beautiful bay and ocean views are at your doorstep.
There's space for a camper / tent / small caravan and car and if the tinny or boat doesn't fit there's often designated car parking spaces available on the road. Our neighbours enjoy a peaceful and quiet space and we ask all our guests to help respectfully maintain this.

We have over 100 different varieties of dragon fruit, with each one having different foliage characteristics and tastes, like watermelon, lime, coconut, lychee and more.
Half of our 3.7 Acres is farm forestry that we are building a syntropic farm in.
We are 5km from the beach, 4.5 km from the nearest supermarket and 13km from 1770 headland.
12km to the north we have Eurimbula National Park where you can explore middle creek and Eurimbula creek.
8km to the South we have Deep-Water National Park, where you can discover by 4wd some amazing uncrowded beaches.
Close by we have Agnes Water main beach, Workman’s beach, Chinamans beach and Springs beach to explore.
1770 headland offers a short walk with an amazing view.
Every second Sunday at the 1770 rotary park we have a local market which is a great place to pick up fresh fruit and veg.
Agnes water and 1770 has that small town feel and slowed-down pace with lots of friendly locals making it a great place to explore, take a deep breath and relax.
We do not provide power, water or toilet this is for off grid campers only.

23E was a quiet site while we were there but there were a few factors to consider.
We found the site very Rocky which made setting up a tent difficult.
It is a short distance from the bathrooms and camp kitchen. Maybe about 200m downhill.
Other than that, the site was good as we could bring our dog.
I would recommend this site for a stay of a few nights.

Not a bad spot to stay for the night. Yes, it's close to the very busy main road into Agnes, but we were out investigating the area any way, and by night there wasn't much traffic at all. Heaps of space too.

Great location for accessing Agnes Water and 1770.
Close to road so a little bit of road noise but didn't worry us.
Be sure to check surrounding trees as not trimmed so reduces spots to camp unless you want to take a chance with any branches that may fall.

We loved Mark's hipcamp plenty of space to choose from at the upper side n lower side of the dam. Pet friendly can have firepits, there's also plenty of wood around to cut up yourself. No amenities have to be fully self-contained. Would go back.

Good place to pull up. We parked near the road (it wasn’t too loud) and stayed for 2 nights. Big grassy area with a few other vans and motorhomes. Close to the little shopping village for groceries etc. only a short drive into Agnes Water town and 1770.

Well located. Close to beach & shops.
Tree limbs could do with a good pruning.
Too many overhanging dead branches so you need to be careful where you park.
Main road is quite noisy but settles down at night.
Would stay again.
