It is 10km to the upgraded Fitzroy River/Thompson Point boat ramp and pontoon. Enjoy some excellent fishing and crabbing on the river, bird watching and bush walking up the many hills. Only 1/2 hr. drive to the beaches (Emu Park and Yeppoon), National Parks (Mt Etna Caves, Mt Archer Baga, Limestone Creek), and Rockhampton (Kershaw Gardens and Rockhampton Free Zoo). Campfires in the firepits provided on each site. (Welcomed to BYO own firepit). Pre-cut fire wood for sale on site. Pets are welcome, however the must be kept within your allocated campsite area and supervised at all time. (Dogs are not allowed to chase livestock or native animals). Quiet genset are also allowed. Definitely no boats to be backed into the dam for washing purposes. Fish cleaning and boat washing facilities at the solar bore near front entrance. Telstra mobile reception (3G & 4G). TV reception with antenna. We a setup for fully self contained camping, however there is a basic bush shower/toilet available for our campers. We are pet friendly, "ONLY ONE DOG PER SITE" and must remain on leads or runs whilst on the property. Please note that animals are not permitted in any of the undercover common areas or swimming pool enclosure. We are a short 2 minute drive to the new Agnes Central shopping center, 5 minutes to Agnes Water town centre and local beaches, and a 15 minute drive to the beautiful town of 1770. Our property runs on rain water and On-tap drinking water is available in the camp kitchen. If you are looking to escape from the crowded caravan parks, you will love our piece of paradise.

There's space for a camper / tent / small caravan and car and if the tinny or boat doesn't fit there's often designated car parking spaces available on the road. Close to Lake Awoonga (4km drive) for fishing and all other aquatic activities along with a great barramundi stocked impoundment.There is a large undercover area with tables and chairs, flushing toilets and hot showers and designated campfire area. All campers have access to this. We also offer a commercial kitchen and BBQs for group bookings. We welcome community functions, weddings, birthday parties and youth groups. Inquiries welcome.

The property offers a range of sites set within this scenic natural environment, with more sites continually being created as the regrowth is cleared. While the track around the property currently has some overhanging saplings, it's ideal for walking and exploring, unless you wish to risk scratching your vehicle. This area is a work in progress and is constantly improving. The highlight of the camp is the large, swimmable dam, perfect for a refreshing dip on a hot day. The property also boasts approximately 250 fruit trees and is home to Brahma chickens and roosters, adding to the rustic charm. There's a 3-kilometer walking trail for those who love to hike, and you'll find potable water and ample firewood available. Guests must be fully self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste with them on departure. Sunsets at Agnes Water Base Camp are absolutely stunning, with panoramic views of the nearby mountain ranges. When night falls, the starry skies above are nothing short of magnificent, making it an ideal spot for witnessing astrological events reflected in the tranquil waters of the dam. Relax around a campfire on a peaceful dam and listen to the kookaburras. Dip your toes into the cool water whilst sipping watching the sunset. It is 10km to the upgraded Fitzroy River/Thompson Point boat ramp and pontoon. Enjoy some excellent fishing and crabbing on the river, bird watching and bush walking up the many hills. Only 1/2 hr. drive to the beaches (Emu Park and Yeppoon), National Parks (Mt Etna Caves, Mt Archer Baga, Limestone Creek), and Rockhampton (Kershaw Gardens and Rockhampton Free Zoo). Campfires in the firepits provided on each site. (Welcomed to BYO own firepit). Pre-cut fire wood for sale on site. Pets are welcome, however the must be kept within your allocated campsite area and supervised at all time. (Dogs are not allowed to chase livestock or native animals). Quiet genset are also allowed. We are open to people coming to just experience what we have created or even getting their hands dirty. We have learnt so much coming here and are happy to pass on what ever knowledge that we have gained but also open to learn from you all too. We are located about 40mins from Agnes Water and are super connected to the amazing Agnes community. We have a couple of areas that power can be tapped into and also a second outside bathroom that is welcomed to be used.
