Moogerah Lakeside Bush Retreat is a small family owned and operated campground on the shores of Beautiful lake Moogerah in the heart of the Scenic Rim, SEQLD. We are conveniently located only 2km from the Cunningham Hwy and are set in a quiet bush location surrounded by the spectacular scenery of the Scenic Rim. We have a range of accommodation including powered and unpowered camp sites, group camp areas, bunk style cabins and a fully self-contained cabin. There is never a shortage of things to do, you can take a canoe or boat out for a cruise on the lake or try your luck at some fishing. Moogerah is well known for its large Bass & Yellow belly. There is a good bushwalk at the property that takes you out to Striker point and into the gorge waterfall with spectacular views along the way. If you have a 4wd you can take a short drive up to Spicers Gap National Park. Here there is a short walk out to the Governors Chair lookout with spectacular views of the Fassifern Valley and beyond. We currently don't have a boat ramp however once you have launched your boat at the public boat ramp we have a nice bay in front of the campground where you can anchor your boat.

We have many panoramic campsites for you to choose from. These are suited to anyone with the swag, tent, camper, caravan, or motorhome. You must be self-sufficient, with your own toilet, and we kindly ask you take all waste when you go. For those who prefer the comforts of home we have a bunkhouse which sleeps 10 and has electricity, water, flush toilet, shower, stove, microwave and TV. Linen is not supplied. If you are driving 2wd, or 4wd towing a caravan or a big trailer and GPS takes you through Mountain View Rd - do not go that way - go through Dayboro Rd. For those without transport Dakabin train station is 25 min from the farm. Pick up and drop off to the station can be arranged. We had such a wonderful stay at this glamping site! It was the perfect little getaway for me, my partner, and our dog. The tent was beautifully set up with thoughtful touches that made it feel special. The bed was super comfortable, and we loved being able to sit on the bed and watch the storm come in over the dam. The property itself was peaceful and private, with plenty of space for our dog to explore safely, which was a huge plus. The hosts were easy to communicate with and provided some fresh produce. It felt like the best mix of camping and comfort—we got to enjoy the fresh air and starry nights but still had the luxuries of a proper bed, hot shower, and a few creature comforts. Would definitely recommend to couples (and dog owners!) looking for a relaxing escape. Also, when they say all you need to bring is an Esky with your food, that really is it! Everything is there. Amazing!

We stayed in a 12 bed cabin with access to amenities block and camp kitchen. Perfect to keep out of 2 degree winter and still enjoy a campfire each night with our kids. Kangaroos every morning and afternoon to watch chew on the grass. Family time, no screen time....no internet. Great place to unwind. Dog friendly on a leash. We loved the serenity.
